Like an idiot i flash a mod for a de-odexed ROM to my stock ROM UK Three M7. So stuck at the boot screen.
The problem is i cant seem to do anything about it. I have no back up (I know !!!), no ROM file on the device to flash and i cant seem to push anything to it.
ADB just says no device found even though it was working ok. Can anyone help? Ive tried it on multiple PCs.
AW: Did i brick it already?
Go to recovery Mount your memory to pc. Copy a Rom. After that flash Boot img via fastboot and then Rom from recovery.

Yeah it wont mount, nothing happens.
I cant push anything if it wont mount obviously, i could try doing it from external sd via OTG cable.. but i dont have one.

Did you tried with ruu?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
As understand it if you have an S-ON device(i do) you have to use the right onee or it will fail. Its Three branded unit,so i need a three RUU. There isnt one out there.
RUUs only work if adb can see detect it
Have you tried going through fastboot? Just fastboot some boot.img to get it to boot, then put a ROM on your sdcard
It sees it now. I can get into recovery (CWM) and fastboot, but i have nothing to flash on the phone, i cant get anything onto the phone to flash! I try ADB sideload, it gets to100% but it says..
E: Can't open /tmp/update.zip
(bad)
I tried pushing to the SD card but the recovery then doesn't see the ZIP, its just not there.
/sdcard wont mount in CWM, nothing happens.
I tried a boot.img from the Maximus thread.
Ok its now accepted the sideload! Ive installed the ROM and its rebooted...
Its back!!!!!!

If you could get into recovery, theres a toggle / enable mass storage mode too? You couldve done that to mount your sdcard
I think it won't work

But nice to have your device back. I'm waiting for my One too

Yeah there is no toggle in CWM and the stock recovery I reflashed was only a test build, and didnt actually do anything.
Well its now working again fine. I dont really know why it worked, but it did. It was suggested i try the Aroma file manager first, which sideloaded OK and let me browse the file system. I then re-downloaded the ROM I was trying to use (Maximus) and tried that. It worked with no errors, although the Aroma installer crashed the first time through, which I understand isnt unusual on the One.
Seems i didnt need to access the SDcard at all, it was just a problem with sideloading. It may have been a corrupt ROM download.
Needless to say i now have a CWM backup, Titanium backup and a ROM file on the SDcard just in case.
You cant mount USB storage in recovery on the HTC One, you can only use ADB Sideload to send the ROM if your stuck in a bootloop or if youve erased the system partition:
I have uploaded the latest binaries to my dev host account.
1. Download and extract these to a directory and copy the rom over into the same directory.
2. Boot up your phone into twrp recovery or a recovery that supports ADB Sideload.
3. Select advanced and adbsideload (Your phone will be waiting for the file transfer.)
4. Open command prompt in the above directory you created with the binaries and rom.
5. Issue command "adb devices" (You should get the serial number with sideload next to it)
6. Finally issue command "adb sideload rom.zip" (rom.zip will be the name of your rom)
This will start sending your rom to the handset and will automatically install.
Hope the above helps

That's what I was doing, it simply wasn't working. It might have been a corrupt ROM download.

Could very well be. Happens more often than you would think
But the mass storage thing is strange....I've seen it on almost all recoveries, but i know TWRP no longer has it in their newer builds, maybe the same thing happened with CWM?

you can push the ROM using adb shell:
adb push rom.zip /data/media
U can also copy the ROM.zip to an USB-Stick, connect via OTG with your One, then boot Recovery, install from external sdcard (should mount OTG automatically).

It wouldn't sideload or anything... But all is well now.

Without OTG Cable
Boot TWRP, then select “Mount”, then select only “Data” and connect your HTC One to your computer.
Considering you have adb.exe (Windows, part of fastboot.zip) or on Linux:
cd Downloads\ROM.zip
adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/
Replace ROM.zip with the ROM filename you copied earlier to Downloads (or any other) folder, then install the ROM.
It should be nearly same running CWM recovery. Hope that helps.

weird try formating the drive and try again ,, and maybe try another flash drive
I flashed a new recovery twrp 2.6.3.3 to flash android revolution rom... I am new to this recovery so I made an error of deleting formatting the internal storage and in turn the android rev zip I wanted to flash.. so now im stuck in recovery with no rom to flash..and no backup to flash or restore.
I can access fastboot and I tried doing fastboot flash zip rom.zip said remote not allowed:failed...
this twrp wont mount the phone on my pc so I can drop the zip on the phone and flash it.
removable storage shows on my pc but it says please insert removable storage when I click it
I also went to mount on twrp and put the x throu system cache and data.. and tried without the x.. usb-otg is non selectable..but I don't even know what that is.. either way I still cant get access on my computer to drop the zip..
so is there any quick way I can get a darn zip transferred to my phone so I can flash it throu twrp.?
any help would be great
thanks

I think you just need an OTG cable... download and copy ROM of your choice, copy it to a USB drive, then mount the USB drive to your phone using OTG cable (available in most electronics stores for something like $2)
Once the USB is mounted, go into recovery, click install, and at the top there should be a menu that lets you choose between internal sdcard and OTG. Click OTG, and you'll be able to choose the ROM to install on the USB drive.
There's a way to "push" the files to your phone when it's hooked up through USB cable to the PC, but that's a bit more complicated. You can google or search on the forums (how to push files to HTC ONE)
Ya I googled..pushed zip over fastboot as I heard adb won't work..or is that wrong? just dont know if i did it right.. fastboot flash zip yourrom.zip..I'll give that other option a try but I guess I need a USB drive..and a cord.

No, that's not right for flashing a custom ROM. That would be for flashing a ROM from HTC. They're both distributed as .zip, but are different formats. @SaHiLzZ got the right answer, but I'll explain it a little further:
- Install/configure ADB (you probably already did this if you can run fastboot).
- Boot the phone to recovery
- I would run two commands just for a little added safety:
Code:
adb shell mkdir /data/media
adb shell mkdir /data/media/0
Then the key command:
Code:
adb push name-of-ROM.zip /data/media/0/
Make sure the ROM is in the present shell directory on your computer, or type the full path to the ROM. The transfer takes a few minutes. The procedure is identical on Linux/OSX/Windows.
Now the ROM is on your phone, and you can install in TWRP.
Easiest way is 2 buy a USB OTG cable and put the ROM in the USB storage

So I am going to go sell my HTC One and I wanted to remove the root and revert back to stock. Without thinking twice I deleted everything on the phone and all that remains is TWRP. I have downloaded the stock rom but where I am running into trouble is that my computer is detecting the HTC One as a CD drive. I have tried multiple different solutions that I have read online and cannot seem to fix it. I am just trying to put the stock zip file onto the phones internal memory. I am able to access recovery and twrp. I am just unable to figure out what I need to do to have my computer recognize my phone.

You need to use adb commands to push or sideload a rom while in twrp recovery.
Put the Rom file in your adb/fastboot folder and rename it rom.zip. Open your adb/fastboot command window.
Boot phone to twrp and connect usb.
In the command window type
Code:
adb push rom.zip /sdcard
The command window will appear unresponsive until the push completes (several minutes)
When it's done install the Rom with twrp recovery.
