Speaker keeps shutting off - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Looking for any help at all. I recently purchased a charging port for my note 1 since doing that any kind of audio cuts off after a couple of seconds playing ( YouTube, videos, songs) but if I use my head phones it works perfectly. I reseated the charging port it doesn't improve any idea what could be causing that. I have the same ROM on another note and I not getting that problem

YouTube freezes on HQ

Hi everyone
I've started to notice videos freezing or heavily stuttering on high quality
I have tested this on both WiFi and 3G with excellent signal for both.
Low quality works perfect however
Any ideas what can be causing this?

Once I flashed CM7, videos on youtube stop half way through and I get the error "Touch to retry". Sometimes it loses connection with the router. I know for sure that it isn't an issue with the router since I'm close to it. Any solution?
Possibly still could be the router
Do you have any problems on other devices?
I had major connection drops on my old netgear

MHL hdmi output experience

Hi All,
Please share your mhl tv out experience using LG Optimus 4X.
I am using S2/S3/htc oneX compatible mhl adaptor that runs with charger connected. I am also using "Screen Standby" app to switch off display while using mhl.
At times it runs flawless but at times signal cuts off for few seconds frequently and hence making it useless specialy if playing games. I have no idea why it runs fine at times and why suddenly it starts giving no signal issue?
Anyone with any advice?

My mhl works beautifully with screen standby , phone gets hot but fine , streamed 720p video over 3g to mhl tv for 5 hours straight yesterday not problems at all apart from charging isn't quite enough (from 100% battery to 40% in that time )

Actually I still havent tested it for hrs of video playback..but what i have noticed is that it most times plays videos fine on stock video player(had played full hd video of 3mins recorded with its camera on my TV) but with games and device in motion suddenly starts giving no signal after every 5-10 seconds, and once this starts happening it even gives same problem with video playback
By the way what cable you using? I am using following mhl adaptor:

Thanks for your feedback

Found the item just searched it with item id number of the link. this wire seems better its much longer, mine is very short. and as much as i have noticed when ever i play any game which makes adapter to also move then mhl signal starts to skip so it must be loos connection issue.
So it plays fine until my adapter is moved.
below is the item link which you thought is broken

anyway try searching with mhl instead of hdmi and s2/s3/htc oneX works fine with our lg optimus 4x. I am using it and its fine until i use it as a controller for NFS MW then signal starta to loos may coz of loos connection when in motion...
last night i was playing "Nightmares" with my bluetooth mouse, device heats up but works fine.

What setting are you using on screen standby?
I'm on the V20a rooted JB rom and is wont turn the screen off while on MHL.
The closest I get is if I slide manual brightness to zero and my phone locks and goes to sleep.
HI omnicraft! I initially had problems , it was a while back but I seem to remmeber having to set it manually and then my phone froze until i locked/unlocked it. I uninstalled and re-installed (not sure it makes a difference) , and my current setting are as follows
Zero Brightness [x]
Persistent blank frame [x]
And am using One Two Dim mode with
Survive Screen Lock [x]
and a atimer of 15 seconds.
I have mine enabled on HDMI auto-detection. WHich means when you plug y our MHL cable in it will automatically start, and you can disable it from the notifications bar.
Hope thisr helps !!

[Q] htc one bluetooth audio delay

I own the lg tone+ bluetooth ( which is amazing, I always wear it) but when I watch videos on my htc one theres a delay on audio. itreally bugs me when I watch youtube... I don't think its my lg tone because it worked prefect on my lg.optimus anyone know if it's fixable through settings on the phone
This happens to me as well. It's like you miss the first 2 seconds or so. Thought I was just over thinking it or something.

I haven't tried it on my HTC One, but I thought all a2dp was delayed?
I noticed it also on my Bluetooth sync in my car when I watch videos ..I thought it was normal lol guess not

ive had these phones over a year and the audio is a bit delayed. i use these on my moto xoom tab and when i watch youtube vids there is a slight audio lag compared to the video on screen.
not the fault of the htc one in my opinion since this occurs on another product (moto xoom).
I notice this in my car, the timestamp on my dashboard display is off from what I see in my phone, and the audio is a second or two off, not a big deal, but I definitely thought it was just me haha.
I have the same issue when connected to BT in my car. I stopped using it because the delay makes me crazy. I have yet to try a BT earpiece though. For now I am just giving up on any BT Connectivity...

[Q] Continous hiss on headphone jack

Hi,
I have a continous hiss on my headphones when I play sound.
There is no sound when nothing is played but when I start music there is a continous hiss. The only possibility to increase volume to 70-90% untill the music drowns the hiss, but it never fades. It is independend of headphone or media player.
It started a while ago and became worse and worse. It does not happen when I use bluetooth.
I thought my headphone jack might be dirty but it looks clean und I tried to clean it with an eartipp, without luck.
Does anyone have a sugguestion?
Thanks a lot!

Solved volume+ responsible
Hi,
after using your idea i fugured it must be a software related issue and remembered that I used volume+. Embaressed not to have thought about that in the first place I deactivated it and all works good now.
Thanks again for your help!

Excellent news. I saw on another thread someone was having a similar issue and vlc worked. Glad you figured it out from there, I'll pass on the info.

JBL Flip 3 Bluetooth issues

Hello, I bought my tab s2 9.7" from Verizon about a month and a half ago and I bought the JBL Flip 3 Bluetooth speaker with it. Lately I've noticed that randomly during netflix and Spotify the audio coming out of the flip 3 seems to degrade in quality and when I turn up or download the volume the icon for media volume changes from Bluetooth icon to the regular media icon. I wish I could explain this better but I'm not sure how to.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you
