[Q] My X8 bricked?

Maybe someone can help me, I installed a new firmware(MiniCM7 2.1.5) on my X8 in CWM. After the reboot the screen stays permanent on 'Sony Ericsson'. I even can not come in CWM anymore. Can somebody help me with this? Thanks!
edit : I even can not put it off anymore, it stays on the Sony Ericsson screen, the only thing I can do is disconnect the battery

use SEUS or PCC
and follow simpe steps

i got ur problem just a few minutes ago ...i just remove the battery a few times untill the phone comes alive ( it walks )

Both SEUS and PCC don't work. They don't see the phone when I connect it with the USB. The phone 'hangs' when the 'Sony Ericsson' words appear on the screen after I put on the phone. I don't even can switch it off, only when I get the battery out. Anybody who can help me with this?

Downlaod FlashTool then download 2.1 Rom Stock u have it on forum install Gordon Gate driver from folder of flashtool then turn on phone when u it freeze connect USB a press flash and find ur stock rom .ftf-unplug phone-remove battery wait for 20 sec-put battery -press back button-plug usb

My X8 is fully working again. Thank you all for your help!

Enter bootloader app.

Ok so request is simple, execution do not know.
I need an app that will get my HD7 in to bootloader. My hardware buttons are broken as tape connecting top board with bottom one is broken.
I can press volume down but not volume up, power button is broken as well. I can get it to hard reset only.
As such my HD7 is only good for GPS and internet browsing which I want to use it for but I want to flash new-er rom for testing as well from time to time and change my 16gb sd card to 8gb as that is all I need for GPS (16gb would be useful in my tablet as extra storage).
Any help?

You will find there some hard keys remaping tweaks...should help if your device is unlocked...
Another solution could stand in GoodDay2Die's hands, he started the development of an app (DeviceReset) but for now it just reboots or shut down the phone...don't know if he has time and planned to add more features to it (ie restart in bootloader mode...)

Ok does your app have option to enter bootloader?
NebZones 1st idea is a no go as to flash anything I need to enter bootloader.

[Q] God, i hate Bricks..

Well, Like usual .. God damn bricks !!
My Friend gave me his phone to actually fix it for em...
HORRAY!!
And looks like x8 will keep on giving me middle fingers as long as we're together... lol!!
THE GOD DAMN PHONE JUST WONT GET DETECTED XD! in Flashtool of course!
I installed The drivers..
uninstalled them.. then install again..
uhhh...
have done mostly everything.. Trying every single way to get it connected..
The phone is not unlocked (Bootloader) .. Still on stock kernel ... was bricked.. somehow ..
Tried another Cable
Another laptop ..
a computer
another USB..
another battery..
And the phone wont give up on his middle finger xD
I want to fix this damn phone!
he will never BEAT ME! :>

Pc Companion requires that the phone should be on!
And the phone is bricked .. so how is it supposed to recognize it?

Hello. Download this and follow the simple and effective steps I had a hard time with my x8 and totally bricked but found this guide that saved my x8 credit goes to B.Jay for guide and uploads.
My advise save everything into one folder will come in handy later on too

I've actually been following that TXT from the beginning .. And obviously i said..

Yes of course!
It actually boots and gets stuck on the SE Logo..
And how did it get bricked???

have you tried the s1tool to read the phone and see the status of it might be that the boot loader needs locking and then re trying everything in the text guide.

Dude your saying the the phone is getting to the Sony Ericsson screen at least.
If it was totally bricked then it wouldn't even start up.
Have you installed all drivers for the x8 onto pc and also x10 drivers that flash tools come with ?
If its going to Sony screen and stopping then its software/rom problem.
Are you holding the back button down whilst plugging the usb cable into the phone ??
If you are what is it doing. Is this still booting up do you fee the phone vibrate then come on or just goes to boot and goes to the Sony screen

What Operating system is this on Windows wise. I will have a look around for some solution if any and see what I can come up with later

Is phone showing any signed of life ? Any vibration/led or something ?
If not its hardbrick I think its no way to fix hardbrick. The only way is to send it to Sony to fix it or buy a new phone
If your phone is turning on and there is vibration/led any signed of life there is change to fix it at home

(then extract)

3.Place ftf file in /firmwares directory of your flashtool.
4. Install drivers from /drivers directory
5. Prepare yourself - plug the USB cable to the computer and launch flasher.
6. Click "flash", choose your ROM from the list, Wait for instructions.
7. When the instruction pops up, press and hold "back" button on your X8 and plug the cable into it. Keep holding untill you see that flashing of files has begun(LED GREEN APPEARS) , then you may release it.
8. Flashing will take a while, you may observe the progress on a bottom bar. When it's finished you will be asked to plug off your device and reboot it.
10. If you wish to change baseband, clean firmware directory in flashtool and place baseband ftf file in it, then go through flashing procedure again.
11. If you try this correctly your phone will work again

Hey, thanks a lot man, after bricking my phone several times and use ur guide to unbrick it. I manage to explore more bout new rom and kernel...

And why should anybody flash back to stock? If u soft brick ur phone u should just reflash the rom that ur using right now...

I guess this is only the solution for "SOFT" brick.

Does it can make phone error sometime? Or not easy to use like before? Thanks...

No error..once you flashed your phone you can get ur old ROM android 2.1.
Easy to use.No bugs....!
If u r going to install any custom rom don't forgot to root and xrecovery....

I always preferred Companion, and you just connect, but if you're in trouble the Flashtools is a good choice :laugh:

Some times PC Suite Should not solve flashing..And it ll take more time...

Simple & Sweet. It worked

my x8 got brick...when i tried to repair/fix my phone using pcc...this happen :
when i tried to connect my x8 to cable it only show green light but pcc doesn't recognized my phone...even i follow the step....
please help me...

Use flashtool to flash back to stock 2.1. It's the most reliable method for me.

Bro, in a soft brick you can't enter to Recovery mode. That's why we use Flashtool.
