Some days ago I upgraded my xperia v from 4.1.2 to 4.3
But a problem accured at video recorder
I have taken a picture from a video that I have recorded by my phone, so you can see
when I downgrade to 4.1.2 the problem disappear.
and when I upgrade it to 4.3 the problem begin again.
I also flash CM10.2 and 10.1 , the problem accur again.
Any one else has this problem?
When I flashed LT25_9.2.A.1.210 .ftf (andriod 4.3) I saw the problem
But I flashed this ROM: [ROM][APR22][Ver2] SIMPLE IS PERFECT: XPERiA V LiTE JB 4.3 .210 Stock Based
that is based on stock LT25_9.2.A.1.210 ROM and I didn't see the problem!!
Can any one say why this problem accur,
I want to flash cm 10.2, but if I do that the problem will back again!

I believe you will see this striping only when there are low light conditions. This together with the noises that are recorded in the background to what I read are hints to graphic processing system is working at it's limits.
I have my own theory abt this condition. 4.12 was commissioned so that with a few add-on apps loaded it will just run smooth and problem-free. If users added a lot of stuff, they started complaining abt lags. 4.3 has higher demand on resources. It comes with lags and video problems for many.
This would also explain why the 4.3 Light ROM as mentioned above does not have this prob. Probably after you added a number of things, the same issues would return.
your problem is blinking, greenline etc in low light camera .. hehe
uncheck NFC (setting-wireless & networks). Problem solved!:good:

Exclamation ICS camera framerate issue?
I just recently installed the ICS[RC1] build on my captivate, I love it but I just noticed some quite serious issues and I am surprised to know that they haven't been mentioned yet, may be no one else had these but anyway here they are:
1. The camera frame-rate while recording a video is extremely slow compared to the rest of the ROMS which are not ICS based. I verified this a couple o times and it really is very slow, not only in 720p but also in 480p. Also, I cannot pause a video while recording it. I mean it can only be stopped and NOT paused. Now, I don't know if you can do this in the real ICS but i think it is quite an important feature which should be there.
2. The flash player doesn't work properly. In opera, dolphin, boat or any other browser while viewing in desktop mode. I can watch a video but I Cannot go full screen, the whole browser hangs and I have to restart it.
Someone please check if he/she is having these issues or not, I love everything about this ICS port but these things really bother me. Also, these issues were also present in the teamhacksung build[10]
While extremely stable, this build is still not a Full release. There are still Bugs to work out. Be patient.

I'm not sure about your second point because I have not tried Flash yet.

i have the same problem with the laggy video recording with RC1 and those bugs mentioned (camera and encryption) were resolved in RC1 but something is still wrong with the camera and i don`t know what...
Glad to know that i am not the only one!
Hi all!
After upgrading to 4.1.2 main camera works with strong noise. Picture this, if you put a Windows 8bit color on your desktop. Did a hard reset , nothing has changed. Interestingly, the 4pda.ru a person who has received such a problem after upgrading to 4.1.2.
What will advise?

I had a similar sounding issue a few months ago that turned out to be a hardware fault. Can you provide more details of the actual problem? Does the camera freeze for around 5 seconds at a time when used in well lit areas?
I had a similar problem. After I updated via OTA did not last a week and already had problems with the camera. My problem was that the camera did not start tried other camera apps and nothing worked. The phone was for assistance,.
Good day all,
I got my Z1 and updated to 4.4.2. Its a non rooted one. I have issues in camera. The camera preview itself flickers all time, even though pictures taken were clear. I tried clearing cache and data files, factory reseted too; didn't help !!! I Is there any way to overcome this bug?
Thanks!!
Reg,
Raj.
Not sure if this is what you mean, but I also have a lot of noise in the viewfinder/camera etc. (hard to describe exactly but sort of like watching analogue television not quite on the station correctly).. have never seen this on any other smartphone..
My phone is brand new.. seems to really only be a problem indoors/low light etc..
Does everyone have this? coming from an S3 its a bit off putting.
Flickers in camera preview
Yea exactly the same as you told. Is there any app or something to fix this ?? Does rooted phones also has this issue?

There is no difference in Rooted or Not, this is related to the Update, one of many issues. I think there is no fix, just try different Rom, even stock.
Camera Preview not working
since lollipop my camera preview does not work. I can see the small thumbnail but it will not open
I am having a problem with my HTC one M7 (Rogers) . I am running Android Revolution HD 84.0 (and I have tried the last couple versions without any change in the problem). When recording video the colour information seems to be horribly skewed relative to the brightness data. The screen shows the video properly, the problem is only visible when playing back the video. Here is a video of the problem, and yes I see the irony in using a broken camera to record a video of another broken camera:
It looks like it is either reading a bunch of garbage data before the colour data, or starting partway through the colour data and reading off into another section of memory (I don't know if it is read top to bottom or bottom to top).
I tried changing ROMs and cycled through the last few versions of ARHD without any change in behaviour. I did a factory reset and there was no change. I am not sure what provoked the problem as I don't frequently review my videos so I don't actually know when it started but it was in the last 2-3 months.
My hope would be that the next step is to re-flash the camera firmware but I haven't any idea how to do that on this phone or where I would obtain camera firmware.
Has anybody run into this before? What should I try next?
After some searching I see 2 other people have had this problem with no solution:

This is a known issue with the HTC Camera App. Not a Rom issue or an problem with your camera.
Recording at 1080x720 works fine. It was something to do with HTC implementing the eye experience on the M7 Camera app. You can replace the camera app with an older one but you will lose the eye experience. Or record at 1080x720

I wish known issues like this were better disclosed - I could have avoided wasting people's time.
You seem to be correct, I have changed to the google camera and it seems to be working properly.
Goodmorning everyone.
i have a problem with sony xz1 compact.
I state that I use it as a test phone to experiment, so I don't care about DRM keys, etc.
- I have bootloader unlocked
- I have twrp installed
- I have tested and installed several custom roms and the camera has always worked (without green photos for clarity)
- Kernel 4.4.78-perf+ [email protected] #1 Wed Aug 22 11:48:47 2018
From a custom ROM, I tried to restore the official Android 9.0.0 pie firmware - 47.2.A.11.228 with Sony Emma and the camera works perfectly for both front and rear photos and videos (without green photos for clarity)
as a test, again with Sony Emma, I restored Oreo stock rom 47.1.A.16.20 and here the problems with the camera started.
I'll explain
Immediately after the restoration of Oreo, the camera only took green photos both frontally and in the rear, but recorded videos correctly both frontally and in the rear.
I left the phone charging all night, and magically the camera started working again (no green photos both in front and behind)
I thought the problem was solved.
Instead it seems that when I activate the stock camera, randomly the problem of the green photos reappears and after 4 photos taken ONLY with the front camera, the problem disappears and the rear camera works perfectly again.
But if I close and reopen the camera stock app the problem starts again. So after 4 photos taken ONLY with the front camera, the problem disappears and the rear camera works perfectly too.
If I switch again from Oreo to PIE with a restore with Sony Emma (official Android 9.0.0 pie firmware - 47.2.A.11.228) the camera works perfectly (never green photos)
This is strange and I don't understand it
Did you also run into this problem?
Do you have any solution?
I ask because i WANT to use stock rom with oreo and magisk module to be able to use sdcard as internal memory because with andoid 9 pie stock and with ROM it cannot use
- Sorry for my bad english-

It's well documented that unlocking the BL creates issues with the camera on Oreo, so I have little sympathy for those that can't be bothered to spend half an hour backing up and restoring their TA partition. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
That said, you can try this - https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...oted-kernel-hiding-bootloader-unlock-t3898711, but if that doesn't work then you'll be stuck with the issue.
Thanks for the reply and for not being nice.
Since I bought it used, it could be that the DRM keys had already been lost, don't you think ??
I have little sympathy for those who do not know all facts and sentence.

Me posting a link in an attempt to help you resolve your issue was me being nice. You did say, "I state that I use it as a test phone to experiment, so I don't care about DRM keys, etc.", so if you bought it that way then "I have little sympathy for those who do not know all facts" or researching a device before buying.
We started with some misunderstandings.
I really appreciated your help.
Each one buys phones for their own reasons.
Anyway, I solved the camera problems thanks to this post:

Everything works perfectly on Oreo stock rom 47.1.A.16.20 without green photos and with SuperSU installed

I'd be more tempted to use a solution that is only a year old than one that is three. SuperSu in 2020=scart, Magisk in 2020=HDMI, but if it works and you're happy, that's all that matters.
just a test to see if an old folder-mounting app works
