Hello,
I had installed viper one 5.8.0 and everything was working fine. I tried to install viperdark theme 6.1.1 and it just sat at the HTC One screen and always came up with a dialer error. Then I tried to update to viperone 6.1.0 thinking it might just need the latest rom version. Same results. After going back and forth trying to do reinstalls of updates I am now stuck at the quietly brilliant screen.
I tried to do a flash recovery using the Hasson kit and downloaded the ML_U7 from the android files site and when I try to flash it says image failed.
I tied to run the RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_Rogers_WWE_4.19.631.9_Radio_4A.23.3263.28_10.38r.1157.04L_release_351317_signed_2.exe file but it also give me an image error.
I do have twrp 2.7.0.0 installed on the phone.

Now that you are at the right place (thread moved to htc one forum), post the output of fastboot getvar all except imei and serialno
and please edit your thread title to remove the ''X'' from ''HTC One X'' as other members here will probably don't read your thread thinking you have posted in the wrong section.

So, with all the excitement of just getting my HTC one on saturday, I got down to business today doing some rooting. This is not my first htc device, i owned the evo 4g before.
With that said, What I did was have a rooted stock rom. I never flashed a new rom to the phone at all. I was trying to do the HTC logo button hack, I downloaded the kernel and flashed away. well, now the problem is the phone will start up and get to where the lock screen should be, It will show the status bar at the top and thats it, hangs for about 20 seconds and then restarts
It constantly does this... I have just updated the sprint software maybe 1.31 something? it was OTA I did before rooting.
I have tried to sideload a rooted odexed stock rom and have not had any success. I also tried running the sprint RUU but it was for 1.29, so it got almost to the end and told me it couldnt do it.
I am working from a mac, but have access to PC if needed. I am using clockwork mod recovery and can still get into it. just stuck on where to go from here..
All help is appreciated, ive spent the last 7 hours trying to fix this problem!
Guys, I am without a phone until this issue is fixed, any and all help is appreciated!!!

Do you have a rom downloaded on your phone? Did you make nandroid? If yes just restore. Do you have otg cable? If yes, download a rom. Do full wipe, cache, dalvik cache, data, and system. Try flashing the rom from otg. What kernel did you flash?
Sent from my lair.
The guy who made the htc one logo hack made a kernel that he released, I flashed that on top of the stock sprint rom. I had a nandroid, but it got wiped. I do not have an OTG cable. I have tried to sideload various roms and I can get it to boot, but I get no cell signal, sometimes i get the error that the system is not responding and i have the option to wait or kill.
I have gotten into the baseband settings and see that I do not have a baseband in there, maybe thats the issue? Also I just took the 1.31 ota update, I am getting an error using the sprint RUU about the boot loader not being correct version. from the fastboot screen I have the following
perhaps bad boot.img??

A flashed kernel will overwrite your boot.img, so that really shouldn't be it. An RUU requires your bootloader be locked though, which is probably part of your issue.

It keeps rebooting because of the system not responding, not getting any cell service at all

problem with that though, I do not see a windows executable from there. the other issue is im using a mac, as far as i know everything works the same when it comes to adb and fastboot.
How would I flash a zip file if I cannot access my recovery? for instance how do I push the file to my device? when i relock the phone, and try to enter recovery, i get routed right back to bootloader
Figured out the issue, turned out that the problem came from firmware being absent... I was able to reflash the firmware and away it went, able to get into the phone now and do what i please!
Thanks for all help from everyone!!!
Hello,
About a month back I destroyed my old HTC One. I unlocked the phone and flashed a new rom for the International version instead of the Sprint version. Ever since, no matter what rom I use, the phone is stuck in a boot loop. I cannot set it back to factory with the RUU because my version is more recent and I do not have S-OFF. I've since bought a new phone, but I'm looking to attempt to get the old one working. This has been a learning experience.

Hello I have a problem,
I have htc one m7 locked for sprint (hboot 1.57.000, android 4.4 ) I already root it then i tried to turn s-off with rumrunner it was not possible cuz my kernel was stock ( I think...) so i tried to install custom kernel (Bulletproof-m7wl-1.2.zip) i then i stuck in bootloop ( htc logo). Now I can enter in recovery (teamwin) but i don't know what to do next.

You bootlooped because you loaded an incompatible kernel. Use *only* m7spr/m7wls kernels.
With that said -- just download a ROM you want (again -- stock with M7SPR or M7WLS (they're the same thing, just different ROMs call them by various names -- not going to explain that here).
Then, load your recovery (hopefully my TWRP 2.8.0.3 because it will work for you); "adb push" the rom file to /sdcard (i.e.: adb push <path_to_the_zip>.zip /sdcard) -- yes, that will work in recoveries.
Then install the ROM in your recovery. You should be fine with the caveat that if the kernel you loaded messed up your partitions (by writing it to the entirely incorrect disk partition), you'll have to RUU back to stock.
Hello, I apologize in advance if I'm wrong section or anything like that ..

now .... how can I do to install a rom and at the very least be able to turn it on?
thank you very much in advance I hope someone will be able to help me <3
edit: I forgot ... the cid is 'GOOGL001, I can not turn it on so I can not do s off to ... I flashed the boot and recovery and then the firmware but still not turn onD:
trying to flash a ruu from rebootRUU --> error signature verify fail --- 12 ---
Is your recovery working?
If so, maybe try flashing a stock GPE ROM.
Sounds like you used a custom "RUU" (maybe the one by graffixnyc) to install GPE the first time.
The same ROM is available as a standalone download (look for a thread by bigxie).
If recovery is not working you may have challenges. Me personally, I would want S-OFF before doing anything else.

I really need help please. I have been trying to fix this now for 2 days.
I have tried to run the above ruu file but I get an image mismatch. My image is version 1.29.631.17 and the one thats trying to install is version 4.19. I thin kthis is the problem with this ruu.
Then i tried to download other ruu's such as
m7-jb-crc-3.4.10-cl164589.zip
Now when I look in the TWRP there is nothing there so know I think I have no more OS installed.
I am trying to install these through the Hasoon2000 utility and i keep getting a signature mismatch. I have googled and tried the steps in many different posts and youtube videos as well, and nothing seems to work.
Help pleeeeease
I apologize if the answer is somewhere else, but I've been searching for literally weeks now trying to figure out the answer to my problem. Basically, from my HTC One M7, I can cast to the TV through apps like YouTube, Netflix, etc perfectly fine... but I am unable to mirror through the chromecast app. Ive tried different "solutions" from different posts that seemed similar along the way, but couldn't figure it out. It's frustrating because according to the list of supported devices, HTC One m7 should be working and I'd really like to make use of this feature. I figure it might have something to do with the ARHD rom? I've tried fixing permissions, updating Google play services, and other random suggestions I've seen throughout the web. Help please!
Here's my phone specs, and then what usually happens:

Chromecast App version: 1.8.22
Chromecast (physical dongle) Firmware Version: 19084
I connect to the same network and open chromecast app. Cast screen option is available and I select it.
I select the chromecast device to connect to, and the TV will go black screen for about 2 seconds and then return to the chromecast default slideshow background images
My HTC One says "connecting to chromecast" (when the TV screen goes black for 2 seconds)
After about 1 second, the app says "Casting Screen to chromecast has ended", and then that message disappears and says "Disconnecting" (this is when the slideshow background images return on the TV)
In the past before I updated Google Play Services, I would get crash reports, but since updating (only a few hours ago) I haven't had any crash reports to send to Google. If I get those again would it help to save it somehow and post it here? Please let me know if there's other info I can put up that would help debug the problem (screenshots, versions, installations, etch), but that's all the info I thought might be useful for the time being... wasn't sure what exactly to show so I just put as much as I could in hopes it'd be helpful. Thanks in advance!

the Developer Edition is up to 6.x.1540.x and ARHD is up to 82

I have not, the one thing i tried to not do for the time being was to update the ROM was because i didn't want to have to back up everything, start from scratch, and reload it all in there again (txt msgs, social media stuff, etc etc). I was hoping for any quick fixes, but if that is the only option then I'll definitely give it a shot.
Also, I thought that was only for the M8? If it's for both then i'm feel pretty dumb already for misunderstanding that...you'd think i would have gotten that through all my researching...

I'm going based off the recovery screen where it says ( OS-3.22.1540.1 ) and assuming that this is the current firmware version, is that correct?

^^This is the stock 6.07.1540.1 firmware Seyaru compiled with the files we have dumped from our phones this summer.
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip name_of_file.zip
fastboot flash zip name_of_file.zip
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then you'll have to flash your twrp 2.6.3.3 again (overwritten by stock recovery when flashing the above firmware)
Code:
fastboot flash recovery name_of_file.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Don't forget to use twrp version 2.6.3.3 or you'll have issue installing arhd 82.
Btw, I recommend you to use the stock firmware(first link in Seyaru's post) and not the "no red warning" one.

edit: ah, nm. i see it in your signature. "Rolled Back to Android 4.3 Sense 5.5 / ARHD 53" ... Then that still brings to wonder what's going on with my phone and what's wrong with it if no one else is having problems w ARHD and chromecast mirroring...any other thoughts?
Figured it out!
OK, so i fiiiiiiiiiinally got it working! I ended up needing to use the zip file posted on another thread to move the google services to the correct folder.

Basically I had already tried this, but i had done it with the first outdated ARHD 51.0 ROM that I had before posting anything on this site. I had forgotten about it since updating the ROM to ARHD 82.0 and the firmware to 6.07.1540.1 until recently. I was reminded about it on another thread as i was scouring for solutions, so I installed it through the twrp and tried it again and it worked! :victory:
It looks like the ARHD dev mike1986 already has been notified of this fix and i found that he posted something for a soon to be update ARHD 82.1 which includes this update of properly installing the google services in the priv-app folder along with other applicable libraries to their respective places and other fixes/updates.
Thanks for all the help everyone, very much appreciated!
