Well the issue on the hand is that Real Cricket 14 By Nautilus is a really cool game with lots of features.
But they have limited the graphics for our tab.
I have a note 2 in which all the field details, stadium , boundary and the spectators can be seen.
But in tab 2 it is not available...there is no boundary or spectators stand.
I'l attach a screenshot of them both if i can, but i just need a little help to find the exact file needed to be edited to remove these graphic restrictions.
I tried GLtools to fake the GPU but it didn't help.
Thanks.

Hey fellow gamers. With the recent updates to psx4droid game compatibility has improved quite a bit imo. There are also a few more tweaking options in the settings.
I was wondering if anyone here has played around with them to find the most compatible settings, primarily metal gear solid. Most other games I play work great without changing any settings. Also any tips you might have as far as best kernal/rom combo that works well for you. I'm currently on serendipity 2.0 with the speedmod kernal.
Thanks for any *constructive* comments!

I've been playing around with PSX4Droid for quite a while now, and I have to say that while compatiblity has improved drastically with V2, speed has gone down significantly.
I'm running the latest Cognition Froyo build right now, and while FFVII, FFIX, Xenogears and Diablo all run with no glitches, they run extremely poorly.
Thanks for the response, have you tried changing the precise cdrom or cycle multiplier to see if anything improves? Playing Resident Evil 3 right now myself and it does very well, possibly due to the pre rendered backgrounds... Just wishing metal gear wasn't so choppy.

You know what, I just installed the latest Serendipity build today with Glitterball's OC/UV kernel, and FFIX runs absolutely perfectly now. It's actually pretty surreal. This has been the first time where I haven't had a single glitch.
The game will start with some audio lag, but it clears after a few minutes of gameplay. I would try Metal Gear for you, but I don't have an ISO handy. I'll convert my copy to an ISO when I have time and give it a shot.
edit: Yeah, I gave MGS a shot and it has quite a few audio problems, but gameplay is fairly playable. A lot more audio issues than most games I've tried though.
Wow, this sounds great. I'd love to play Gran Turismo on my phone!
I've actually read that disabling the music can speed it up on older phones, had no effect for me though perhaps I will swap a few different kernals and see if there is a considerable difference.

Glitterball's kernel probably works so well for me just because it's an OC/UV kernel. My Captivate's processor runs at 1.2ghz with it on.
Oh I have done my fair share of flashing lol usually twice a week if new stuff keeps coming out.
Anybody else having success with roms and or kernals?

Yep the latest version is running very nicely indeed although even OCed teken 3 is not quite there yet....not that you can really play it with onscreen controls (damn you Samsung for this Bluetooth) but as a performance measure.

I think those would work on any capacitive touchscreen device, so long as the touch buttons on the emulator are the right size for the joystick.
Yeah hopefully there are some for cheap..... I think it should work.

It even says when you open PSX4DROID WHERE to DL the BIOS.
People need to learn how to read.

I just played Resident Evil 3 all the way through, ran flawlessly.
My psx playing ff7 is horrible with the latest updates... 1.0.8 was the best for me.

Hey guys, thought I would share with you guys an app that nicely mimics apple's Siri. You must have ICS to run it so those using z's ICS rom can try it out
I haven't tried it yet since I'm not using ics as default rom. If someone could test it out on there legend and post the status it would be great reference. But it should work with any phone running ICS.
Download it in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1662255
I take no credit from the work!

Samsung enabled device checks last Sunday to check if you're on a Galaxy S3.
Edit the lines in the build.prop to get around the checks:
o.product.device=GT-I9300
ro.product.model=GT-I9300
It would be nice if someone made a loader for S-Voice that temporarily patches/fakes the build.prop to look like it's a Sammy. Because it's probably not a good idea to permanently change the build.prop for just one app.
By the way, it wasn't very smooth when I tested it before the checks came in. Also a lot of FCs..

It would be helpful to have some specifics...
1. What games are you trying?
2. What ROM are you running?
Those are the big two...

Dude has a good point, more info would be helpful. But you can edit your build.prop to spoof the market that you have a different device.
Sorry I have the infected rom 3.5 and games like NBA Jam and Max Payne for example

One of the fairly popular ROMS on the board was using a build that reported something other than being a t-bolt. It happened to crop up when I was using bootmanager and it was a bit upset at one of the roms.
In checking-it was ODJDub. A lot of EA games run much tighter checks than others. By modifying the build file, you can tell these "checks" what device you have. It's fairly common when you slap the droid OS on a non android device like Nook Colors, HP touchpads, etc.

You need to change
ro.product.device
ro.product.board
ro.product.name
Change them to something like the HTC flyer or another tablet should resolve your issue, you'd have to Google it though, as I'm not sure of the proper entries for other devices.

No. However, I would make a back up copy of your build file and name it like build.old and keep it safe. If you wish to restore your checks to broadcasting the tbolt name, simply rename the current build file and rename build.old back to build.prop. It's just a matter of whether or not you think renaming files is quicker than editing them.
The stood charge is a duel core phone so more games for it. Our phone is single core and not as good for gaming as more.cores are needed.

WRONG, yet again...
Might wanna start checking facts before you post anymore in these forums.
That applies to both you and your alter ego "Entitled".
The Droid Charge has a single-core 1Ghz Hummingbird processor on VZW.
The issue lies within the build.prop, as already correctly mentioned above.
In fact, I wonder if the OP has applied one of the modified build.props posted over at InfectedRom.
Anyway, editing that should fix you back up.
Otherwise, there are also modded versions of the Play Store out there with device specific restrictions removed, though they tend to be outdated fairly quickly.

An elderly relative of mine shall be getting herself a Nexus 7 tomorrow, which she plans to use mainly for e-Reading plus a bit of media usage in the form of BBC iPlayer. I was looking for an easy-to-use interface for her. Any launcher recommendations or simple customisations to make it just a little bit easier? I am sure she could use it as is, but making it easier so I don't have to teach her so much will be good.
How elderly? Talk back might be nifty. I tried it once, it was annoying as hell though

Instructions are poor. You get a quick startup guide on paper and then have to open the book section to read the user manual. I find it harder to learn about a system when I an constantly flipping from the manual to a page to try out what I was reading.

I was more just on about launchers which would allow her to have a nice, clean UI that isn't too cluttered.
Anyone know of such a launcher?

Thanks. I can install Apex on my Galaxy Note, so I'll fiddle around and see what I can do on it.
Just empty the desktop from every single icon . Than..
1.on home screen Add icons that this person will use the most e.g BBC iPlayer (not sure bits going to work without flash), chrome, play store and a nice looking clock widget or something
2. Set each other screen with categories e.g one for books where you place the appropriate widgets and icons . One for videos and one for whatever else like notes calendar and other productivity ....
3. Do that person a favour and download some games .. yes games . You'd be surprised how often older people like to play ... ideal games would be mahjong, card games , also things like Bejeweled ,Zuma, scrabble type games
Stock android launcher is good enough trust me you just have to know how to organise it. Also wait for chameleon that might change things

We know apk like app2sd or others similar.
A apk or any step for improve this idea on our hdd should be very useful.
AW: Install apk/data on hdd DEV needed
I think this is a good idea but it would drain the battery very quickly cause the hdd has to run every time you would start an app.
