Is there any other rom that is not HC 3.2 and has everything working properly? (wifi, teetering, 3G, camera, etc) Thanks

thanks!! what rom do you suggest other than android 3.2?
Again, my thanks e congrats on the fantastic work that you have done to S7
My suggestion? Toss it in the garbage.
I bought my kids a $60 tablet this last Christmas that has 2x the amount of performance of this thing.

Oh that makes me horny!!!!
Although it's pretty dangerous in a netbook/tablet PC market to charge $1k for that. At $500-$600, I'd definitely pick one up.
Thanks for sharing.

Haha...same thoughts I had when I first saw the video! It definitely is a little on the expensive side, but just look at what you get! It would be sick as just a tablet, but the ability to plug in and boom!! Windows 7, it's pretty amazing.

Yeah, I could do without the Linux, though. I'd love to have Windows 7 starter without the keyboard. By far, this is the closest thing I've seen to what I want...
Windows 7 Ultimate (I'd install it myself, so it doesn't have to come with it)
multi-touch
hard keyboard
~$500
and a processor that's a bit better than the latest EeePC model...

I just thought I'd mention this even though its a little off topic, but I love my Touch now with 2.2 on it. It does absolutely everything I ever wanted a phone to do, the app market is full of awesome and useful apps, super stable, and my god, the battery life is out of this world. I only wish it had a glass capacitive screen to be a little more scratch resistant and finger friendly. I'd never get rid of it when my contract is up next March if it had that.
I wanted to give a shout out to all the devs and dedicated testers to put the Vogue back on the cutting edge.

Incubus RLS9. But not for any good reason really. It was just the last 2.2 I installed and called it perfect at that point. I've probably flashed my phone 30 times so I needed to find something that worked and stick with it before I wore out the NAND.
I'm considering buying a cheap used Touch to try this out instead of the phone I am using now on Sprint. How well does Android work on the Touch? Are there any downsides or things that don't work? What's the battery life like?
Thanks!

You should try it.
Everything works except for camcorder. Battery lasts a full day easily.
What's your current phone?
believe it or not I am running 2.1 because it allows me to send mms on sprint. RLS3 allowed me to but something changed in the other builds and I cant mms anymore.

Just keep in mind the screen is small and text input without the stylus can be annoying in portrait mode sometimes. But other than that, ace has it right. Everything works cept camcorder though I never used that myself so I don't care.

I'm running the themed release10 with the new NBH file and I LOVE it. Other than the GPS (verizon issue...) it's perfect. I am very grateful that people are spending the time to make this phone so much better!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude don't give up. The gps on vzw is fixable. Have you tried the fix listed in the faq thread. Worked for me. Sry for the punctuation my touch pro kbd isn't working all the way in xdandroid.

I am currently using a Palm Treo 755p so I am completely new to this. In terms of functionality, what is the difference between running it from the SD card and doing the NAND method. The SD install seemed pretty straightforward and the NAND version seemed more complicated. I am pretty tech savvy but have never installed a new OS on a mobile phone before. Can anyone provide a link to a simple straightforward instructions for installing via NAND? Also, which release should I be installing? I see people talking about more than one.
Thanks so much for your help!
Awesome. I'm getting a used touch [$50 ftw] for Froyo on it. Thanks a lot to everyone who posted.
Just a small thing, does SMS work as it should? I'm pretty much intending to make the Touch my No.1 phone, and SMS is a major factor. So, all apps work, including Wi-Fi? Impossible.
The touch does not have wifi capabilities , but SMS works great!

Touch? The Touch [Vogue] does have Wi-Fi capabilities, the Touch Dual doesn't if you're thinking about that.

Yeah, I've been testing Vogue roms for quite some time now. 2.2 is easily the best on the vogue. The improvements made to the OS made the whole thing faster and more efficient. Battery life is through the roof comparatively as is speed.

ROM developers do a lot of awesome work for pretty much free, I find it kinda rude to "want" something like this
What you should really want is Motorola to release an official 2.2 kernel so that the devs have somthing good to work with. For a locked system we have come a long way imo.

But not so smoothly and quickly compared to others roms!
Sense is very beeatiful and "worked", but is much for milestone processor and memory (your words dexter), right?
maybe Sense 2.1 is more recomended??
i tested all, in the moment MIUI is the best!

Telus Lite V5... No offense to the other devs, but this mod is rock solid. Loses no features, and gains both speed and battery life.
On typical usage, I get about 50-60 hours without having to plug in. I text a lot, usually have about 30-40min worth of phone calls, check email, have wi-fi and auto sync enabled about 1/4 of the time, and play some games (maybe 1 hour per day)
Never have any random reboots.
Although, I did go in with root explorer and decreases the voltages.. but it was clearly set up with a less forgiving CPU in mind.
seems not much developer want to add crystal talk to their rom, i think u better use official rom if u want that

Thats what i want to so far have tried most and any rom based on htc comes out top
ans also miui (htc based i think) is best so far but iffy camcorder and wi-fi
Is it possible to deodex this SWYPE, it's the one containing French Canadian QWERTY keyboard, so I can include it in the ROM I use?

i wont give up my atrix, unless it was for a galaxy s2 or similar. i love the webtop/laptop and the phone feels faster to me. no lag whatsoever, except the lockscreen. the downside is its locked down tighter than a dolphin's ass, and its not very customizable. but official gingerbread is just around the corner it looks like.
i like it. i dont feel like i need to do anything to it. its rooted, sideload enabled and i can tether. thats all i need. for my flashing addiction i still have a couple of captivates to play with.

Alright, I have my hero, but I'm getting tired of it. The keyboard lags, scrolling lags, basically everything lags. What are the best settings for no lag?(what is a good keyboard that doesnt lag) What is a good rom for the htc hero that doesnt lag much? OR: How do I stop LiGux from lagging? Also, what folders/files are ok to erase on my hero? Thanks in advance.
I've always used the latest Cyanogen and took out every single graphic enhancer.
Unfortunately the hero is pretty much dead. Someone should do a port of iceboxs shpongle ROM for the hero gsm. Maybe I'll look into doing it.
