[Q] (Unactivated) Sprint HTC One can I Sim unlock to use Gsm

How to sim unlock my Sprint HTC One so I can use it for GSM networks but is unactivated. How can I manually activated without calling or paying sprint. here's the link where the sim unlock process http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586704 I tried but won't work
Its Rooted and running on viper Rom 3.5.0
Unlocked bootloader
Android 4.3
I bought it second hand clean esn but unactivated

You answered your own question. Just read the first page of the thread, I have explained how to unlock it on 4.3

I would like to know if this will work on an unactivated brand new device as well as I am about to purchase one for use in Asia. But my decision will be based on your results, good luck ?

Elvis method doesnt work ....is there a other way to activate my htc one
I tried to downgrade and unlock it i put my h20 sim card then for awhile it said no signal limited service

The unlock works 100%. If you don't see "SIMLock enabled" than it was successful. Probably the phone doesn't support your phone's frequencies. Don't jump directly to the last solution, read the thread thouroughly

Ive been doing the process over and over again and simlock is still visible on the secret menu .... Elvis ive followed your guide perfectly i even know all the steps by memory ...if it helps here is the htc one imei 990001460590706

Delete your IMEI please, it's not wise showing it to everybody. If you did get s-off and than downgraded, did you root your phone and than tried the "Sprint HTC One SIM unlock helper" app? What did the app say? I'm sure you didn't do some steps otherwise your phone would be unlocked. Hundreds of people have unlocked their phone this way. If the "SIMLock" message doesn't go away you probably don't have a sprint one

The Sprint HTC one has blocked the carrier id's for domestic use aka att etc.. You can however if your s-off you can flash the initial release radio the first radio when the Sprint HTC was released and it will allow you to connect to domestic carriers. Here is the first radio released http://d-h.st/HHD I can pick up T-Mobile and att using the initial release radio, it is the only radio I could get to pick up signal with. The radio may be the reason your thinking that its not working, With any other radio you will get no signal and no networks avail. Your probably unlocked if you followed what elvisypi said, your just using the wrong radio. I would try flashing that radio and see what happens, I am in Ohio so i am using domestic carriers. Also make sure there bands in your area are covered.

HI guys i was unable to get my stock rom ,but i'm using viper 5.7.0 now and i want to unlock my phone is there any method to unlock sprint htc one with viper based rom? tried using terminal method to unlock but didnt work

Ibought this phone as unlocked from ebay doesn't it now work like before? actually my phone is C-spire not sprint,since we dont have roms for cspire i rooted it to sprint rom

Follow the guide posted above. After unlocking it you might have issue when connecting to other carrier s network so be sure they are using compatible frequencies. I'm almost sure you will not be able to connect it to any other CDMA carrier. Normally CDMA carriers will not accept a phone on their network if not sold by them.
Next time if you are planning to switch carriers, buy a gsm phone, much easier! even with a locked gsm phone, you'll only need to sim-unlock the phone with a purchased code then put in any gsm sim card.
Sorry I can't help you more, I'm not familiar with the WLS variant.

Actually i was using this phone before and i tried to update my phone somethin went wrong and ended up without os so now i installed viperone and i'm unable to use it now

[Q] Sprint locked M8 har/kar edition in Europe S-ON

Hello. I've got a Sprint locked M8 har/kar edition. I have intention to use it in Eastern Europe. Unfortunately it came with updated software version and firewater didn't work. Rumrunner installation looks like goes fine - says me to wait 30 seconds, pray and turn on my phone. Did this twice and boths times my phone was actually turned on when this message appears. Bootloader stills shows me S-ON.
I did unlock via Htcdev, Root, TWRP 2.8.0.6 Unofficial. Installed the Viper. I think Ill try Bad Boyz aswell very soon.

I've saw something about sim unlock but I am not sure does it could help me as my sim works on any device. Or it's meant something else?

Thank you very much for your answer! I still have doubts is s-off 100% required to make my phone work on these frequences and other than Sprint network? My main target is to start using the phone, S-off is on second place 'for me. The second topic doesn't say anything about s-off, but I have still not tried it, because I am not sure do I have to flash this with TWRP or? If so, after reboot there will be installed program called terminal emulator in which I do the rest? Thanks again! ) :fingers-crossed:
p.s. A good question asked by a colleague - does imei unlock code (those who has to be bought) will also make the phone work on these frequences or it will only unlock the device but it still would be unusable because of band differences?

In order to SIM unlock your own phone you need to be S-Off. I don't know if unlock codes will work or not and from what I read Sprint tells you it has to be on a Sprint network to send it an unlock code. I suspect the person that sells the unlock codes would be able to tell you if they can unluck the Sprint variant of the M8. When I unlocked mine (I'm S-Off and follow the instructions in the Bad BoyZ thread) I wasn't able to get the 2100 band to work until I followed the steps in the Enabling 3G (UMTS) in all the countries thread in general.
To me if it were a matter of spending ~15 euro on Firewater or ~10 Euro on an unlock code I'd do Firewater. S-Off is easy with that and the SIM unlock took about 2 minutes after that. That route also gives you the ability to enable to 2100 band if you need it.

Thank you very much for your clear answer! Unfortunately it's all about the money ( i don't have). Today my bank informed me that my account is closed due to no recent activity and the money i was waiting to receive are gone.... paypal - 0.01$.
I have installed Bad Boyz Rom with my current hboot and radio, which looks absolutely the same as the touched one from bad boyz(I've got the red text). The phone restarts after 1-2 minutes maximum. When i start supersu says no library installed do i want to install and after this restart... So i flashed ViperOne again. My question is - does the hboot makes this problem and if i flash to his touched hboot is it reversible afterwards? Would be there problem to use other roms with same hboot&radio?
I think the problem could occour from supersu and the rootings privileges it needs. I have used a toolkit for rooting while i was stock (it installed superuser). May be my rooting is not that good or something is happening.. ViperOne has no problems.

Reinstall super SU, have you tried to install any other radio (this makes the phone restart as well)?

Htc 612 verizon unlock to GSM

Hi, wanted to ask if anyone has done this or has the steps to follow? When I insert a foreign sim card into it, it says, "this sim card is from an unknown source" and picks up no service.
Im new to the forum hopeing you guys can guide me to where I should post about this.

Because your phone is carrier branded, you must sim-unlock it to be able to use it on another carrier.
You can sim-unlock using a paid code. There are many onlince service for that. A sim unlock code generaly cost between 5 - 15$ US. You put the sim card in the phone, boot the phone and then you'll be prompted to enter the code. (phone must be on stock rom)
This is an example of a website offering that service (not tested myself) http://www.doctorsim.com/us-en/unlock-phone/htc/
If your phone is s-off, you can sim-unlock for free if you have the required hardware and knowledge (SIEEMPI method)
There is also a new method to sim-unlock by using the Sunshine app (which was previously only useful to achieve s-off). The app cost 25$.

Hi the phone is not s-off and also when I insert the gsm foreign sim card or any gsm sim card foreign, no unlock message popsup. Phone is totally stock.

so try sunshine method, if it doesn't work, you'll have s-off anyway so it will be possible to unlock using the sieempi method

HTC 612 Verizon
is there a way to S-Off this HTC device for free like the old firewater I have no problem paying Sunshine app but I need this phone SIM unlock for a customer what if after paying for the app and gaining S-Off the SD Card method don't work for this phone
then I'm out of 25 dollars again no problem with that but I only need S-Off to SIM unlock the phone for a customer

Sprint HTC One M8 Marshamallow Domestic Sim Unlock help please?

Hello, I am very new so I'm a little nervous about posting but can somebody please help me?
I have a Sprint HTC One M8 and I have the unlock code from Sprint, however when I put in my sim card the phone reads "Invalid Card". I think this is because I would like to use the phone with T-mobile, a domestic carrier in the US. If somebody knows how to unlock the phone for domestic carriers and can help me or give me instructions I would be very grateful. I'd even be willing to pay if someone could take the time to figure this out. I have tried the unlock tutorials on the forum, but nothing has worked for domestic.

Good luck with your research. Domestic SIM unlock has not been successfully done on M8 as far as I know. There were some people did the domestic SIM unlock on M7 back in 2013 and you may want to leverage their work in your try (search in M7 forums). Sprint classified the M8 as international unlock capable and domestic – non capable in their website. M9 and up series have the capacity to get factory GSM unlock to use domestically. Please share your work if you get success.

Because a friend got two sprint m8 relocked after he upgraded them to marshmallow. Is sim unlock confirmed for marshmallow? I see no posts to affirm this sir.
