HELP! Accidentally wiped OS, USB not recognized - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I was gonna flash and prior to doing so I accidentally wiped internal memory. When trying to reboot I received a message in TWRP saying no ROM found. Phones does not boot since the OS was wiped.
I'm able to get back into recovery but there is no ROM to flash and Unfortunately there's no memory card slot on the phone. If there was I could have transfer a ROM over to sd card and installed it.
I've tried installing from a RUU file using a windows 7 laptop but I get an error message 170 USB not connected. I'm not sure why its not recognizing my phone. I have htc drivers installed. I have also unistalled the htc drivers, rebooted laptop and installed drivers again with no luck. I have also tried ADB side load in TWRP but adb is not recognizing device, Im unable to push a rom. I just do not get why it is not recognizint my htc one. I'm able to charge it so I assume the usb port on the device is not the issue. Strange, My other devices get recognized through usb.
Any suggestions on what I can do to install a ROM or get my laptop to recognize my phone? The last 2 days I have done reasearch without any luck, I hope someone here can help. If only if this phone had a SD slot, then this wouldn't be an issue as I'm able to get into recovery.

You can use adb to push the ROM to /sdcard/ while in recovery and you should be able to install it from there.

i also had the exact same problem with my sprint htc one... while installing an RUU my laptop showed an error that device is not connected (it was running windows 8.1 x64 i think that was the problem) then i disconnected and connected the phone again it showed "USB device not recognised" and even fastboot could not detect the phone ....
when i switch on the phone it would go straight to TWRP... i tried adb push and flashing through USB-OTG cable with no luck..
but when i connected my phone to my friend's desktop running windows 8 x86... it did not show up in my computer but fastboot detected it and i was able to flash this RUU http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=22926241640219526 ... and now my phone is up and running...
now first try USB-OTG method, if it fails try flashing RUU.zip from other computer it might get detected...

[Q] One has no SD Card - no mount in recovery - no rom installed

ok, so my phone is screwed.
Been trying touse this thread to recover it - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2325853
I have no SD Card, I can not mount SD Card in Recovery.
I have from what I can tell installed the Android SDK and when doing 'adb devices' I get 'error device not found'.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled HTC drivers and sync, does not recognise my phone. Device manager shows my One but can not find any drivers for it.
I have tried the All In One Tool to sideload, does not work, does not reboot to bootloader etc due to drivers not working.
Basically my phone is dead as, what can I do? Take it to HTC, how much would it cost to fix?
Cheers
EDIT: If i reboot system from Recovery it tells me it does not have root, do i want to root it? I say yes and it reboots to splash screen, nothing else
What operating system are you running?
If you're using Windows 8 search for the thread with the windows 8 drivers.
I accidently formatted my SD card while I had no rom installed. It took a while but eventually ADB picked it up and I was able to push the rom to my device using ADB push (I was also getting the "No devices found" message). This was before I found the windows 8 driver thread, it just randomly started working after many resets of both my phone and computer.
What recovery are you using? Do you happen to have a flash drive and a usb otg cable? This is an other option.

that is easy dont panic
1- if the drivers is not installed properly you cant do anything from PC and send it to the device
if you are using Windows 8.1 there is NO drivers for it,
if its Windows 8 there is NO official driver yet but you can install Windows 7 drivers
if its Windows 7 or earlier make sure its installed correctly if you dont know reply to my comment i will tell you anything you want
2- it happned to me too No Root and NO Rom installed, i simply copied the ROM to a USB Stick and using a USB OTG cable ($1) i plugged the cable to the phone and mounted the cable and then installing it from there,
tell me more about what you have and i will help you
Spent a few hours last night working on this with the help of Matt from here
I have CWM Touch (latest) and he was able to fix the driver issue, and we got sideloading working.
Will push the rom to phone, install, start roms splash screen but go no further. Still no SD Card or missing the mount points to show SD Card.
Attempted to S-Off, failed, unsure if CID 11111111 was successful. (Not CID11111111, was HTC_039 now VODAP21 or similar)
I has told/read an article that if you flash a differnt base (eg ICS to JB) that it will replace a script that handles/writes the mount points..
That worth a try but I believe all roms are JB. Any idea of any ICS roms for the One??
I can not find a RUU for 1.29.980.2 to try, only Nandroid Backups that I can not use as no SD..
EDIT: what does a flashing red led mean too? Cheers

[Q] ADB device not found

Hey guys!
In advance I'm sorry for asking something that has probably been asked many times before, but I'm unable to find the right answer.
Okay let's start at the beginning. My HTC one with an unlocked bootloader on stock started to display a very irritating bug in that sometimes the screen would not rotate and was stuck in landscape mode. Nothing would help nor rebooting, nor calibrating the sensor. Only booting into the bootloader would somehow help.
Until it did not.
I tried a factory reset, which did not help and then tried just wiping Dalvik and Cache, which did not help too.
Then I tried wiping Data and System, which I now know was very stupid.
The current problem is that I can't figure out how to send a new ROM to my HTC one using adb, when typing adb devices the device does not show up.
My computer does see the device, listed under Android USB devices ad My HTC. I think Fastboot too, recognized the device, because I am able to get the Identifier token.
I have installed the drivers and installed HTC Sync manager. I have restarted my Pc multiple times and changed the USB port the device is connected to.
I too, tried mounting the USB, but either I'm doing it wrong, or it does not work.
Hope one of you can help me! I've been at this all day long...
Adb commands only work when you're booted in the rom or recovery. Fastboot uses fastboot commands. Do you have a custom recovery? If so, you can adb sideload a rom. If not, you can fastboot flash a custom recovery assuming your bootloader is unlocked. You may have mentioned it in your post I just can't remember. Good luck!

Thanks for the help!
Yes, I unlocked my bootloader and have twrp installed.
I think I have narrowed down the problem: that my device is not recognized by the computer in twrp.
When in fastboot, My computer does recognize the device, listed as an HTC one, so the drivers are not the problem.
When booting into recovery, me computer only recognizes the phone for about 3 seconds, when it dissapears.
I have been able to see the device in Adb (using Adb devices).
What could I do? Adb sideload does not work because the computer does not recognize the device.
Hi,
You're on Windows? If yes which version?
Windows 7, but if needed I do have access to a win 8 PC as well.
All x64 by the way.
Ok, maybe take a look here if you use USB 3.0?: [FIX]Fastboot problems on Windows 8 x64 with USB 3.0? Solution inside.
It might work on Windows 7 too, there is a link for the drivers for x64.
Maybe using a toolkit to use ADB/fastboot? Take a look here:
[TOOL]HTC One (M7) All-In-One Toolkit V3.1
[TOOL]HTC One (M7) AIO Toolkit | v1.4
Okay, from now on I'll only use USB 2.0.
I tried these two toolkits, but they suffer the same problem as me in that in order for adb sideload to work the device has to be recognized for longer than 3s after booting into recovery.
I just bought a female-female USB adapter, hopefully installing a rom from a usb stick will work
Ofcourse help would still be greatly appreciated as i will have to wait for over a week till the USB adapter arrives.

[Q] adb error: device not found

I am currently getting error: device not found
i am on a windows 7 64bit pc that has been formatted since the last time i installed a new rom
i am also using a usb-otg cable with a 7gb FAT32 thumb drive
after a complete wipe in recovery I cannot get my phone to recognize my usb-otg and after trying to do an adb sideload adb will not recognize the phone.
I need to either get usb-otg to work or adb to recognize my phone. I think my problem with ADB is a driver issue on the pc, I have tried various driver instillations from http://adbdriver.com/ , http://www.htc.com/www/software/htc-sync-manager/ , and the driver download link in hasoon2000's AIO kit, as well as the xda guide at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2232799 .
however i am always left with M7wls under other devices in the device manager
I have also tried restarting the adb server and checking adb devices, but the phone never shows up
update: I was able to install cwm in fastboot usb hoping i would get the usb otg to work, but usb otg still will not mount
2nd update: the phone is now recognized as My HTC in fastboot and seems to work fine with fastboot commands and is now recognized as One in CWM still unable to sideload
I suspect my problem might be that i never had my phone connected while it had a rom installed so it never discovered it properly, instead it is trying to discover it as whatever the recovery says it is?
I am also still unable to get my usb otg to work CWM says "error mounting /external_sd!" if the usb otg would work my problems would be solved, can someone tell me how to prepare a thumb drive to work with usb otg in twrp or cwm

i was having the same problem what i did i uninstall the sync manager and drivers, rebooted my computer then redownloaded the sync manager let it install the htc drivers then connect the phone to pc let recognized the device and boom it was working for me.... hope that helps
that did change the phone name in the device manager about a minute long enough to sideload once, but when trying to sideload again the cmd said the server was out of date and closed, and looking at the device manager the name reverted back to M7WLS
do you have the sdk tools up to date on your pc?
Sent from my HTCONE using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
i have nothing installed besides the htc one drivers/sync and any fastboot or adb commands i do is through hasoon2000's toolkit which i have used in the past without any problems
i have now connected to and installed the drivers on 3 different computers and they all leave the phone as m7wls in the device manager unable to show up as an adb device
i also am still unable to get my 7gb fat32 thumbdrive to work as usb otg
M7wls driver
can anyone help? i am completely stuck with the phone all because i cant get the driver to recognize the phone properly
or is there anything i need to do to prepare the usb otg thumb drive to work in either cwm or twrp?

what root folder are you placing the zip file to sideload?
I believe it will not sideload because your rom zip isn't in the correct folder on your computer. With the sdk installed it would have to be in the platform-tools folder with hasoons toolkit I don't know.

How did you fix the recovery? I'm having the same issue you had but I'm using PhilZ Touch 5 recovery. This is why I hate HTC for not adding a SD card slot in this phone and its the last phone I will ever get that doesn't come with that option. If this were my EVO LTE I'd be up and running in minutes. Its been two days now and this damn iphone wannabe crap is making me sick. I regret this phone so much but you live and you learn. Anyway can you please help me figure this out for PhilZ Touch 5. I don't see how it wouldn't work any different than TWRP.
I use this video to help me but when I get to adb devices my phone isn't found.

My problem has been solved. Ends up it was an issue with my TWRP version and I completely blame myself for the complication.
P.S. sorry for the late reply even though so many of you were quick to help out, my time is very limited during the weekdays.

[Q] HELP - Bricked HTC One m7vzw (Verizon)

So I got carried away with trying to get rid of that three dot menu button at the bottom of the screen and I've slowly managed to work myself into a really bad problem. I'm not necessarily new to this, I've rooted my Droid 2, Droid 3, and GS3, but this has been more complicated for me.
Anyways, my problem is, I was trying to wipe my phone so that I could flash a ROM. This is because I couldn't access my settings (I overwrote the original in an attempt to get rid of the multitask button). But while I was in CWM I factory reset it but I also accidentally deleted the system. My bootloader is unlocked, but now my phone is on and I can't get into recovery, and I'm assuming it's because the whole system is gone so there's nothing to boot.
Another problem I had (while my phone was able to boot up completely), Android File Transfer wouldn't work, I downloaded a rom for the settings.apk but it wouldn't let me transfer files between my computer and phone. I emailed the .apk to myself but since I couldn't access settings I wasn't able to pick my usual email (although now I'm thinking I should have just used the email I first signed in with). Not as much of a concern but input is still welcome.
I've looked up RUU but it looks like it's not available yet for Verizon. Any possible solutions would be MUCH appreciated.
Don't worry, your device is not bricked.
If your bootloader works well, you must select fastboot and flash the recovery via fastboot.exe in the command line. Now you should be able to get into recovery.
If you wiped your partitions, you can have a trouble with mounting /sdcard. Then you should get an OTG Micro USB cable and put ROM on your USB stick, but I'm not sure if TWRP recovery for HTC One supports mounting flash memory from USB host.

I tried flashing into recovery via fastboot but my computer doesn't recognize my device. And I'm pretty sure I had drivers installed since that's how I unlocked the bootloader in the first place..

Install the latest drivers and try from a windows 7 pc (or windows 8, win 8.1 doesn't work well)
Reinstall drivers if you haven't already and try the correct file for your 'Modelid' here. It's the only way I got mine to work again after i did the same thing.
Note: The file i used had a different software version but it still flashed ok.
After that, if you can find the right Nandroid you now have the ability to flash that

I was finally able to boot into recovery and thank goodness had a CWM backup. Thanks for your input guys.

Help. Nexus 6 not recognized via adb, fastboot.

Nexus 6 running android 7.0 developer preview. I tried to flash something and the device went haywire. Booted into TWRP to try to restore a backup kept getting unable to mount storage error. Decided I would wipe everything and boot into bootloader and flash a factory image via fastboot. Always a very easy way to make sure everything gets fixed! The device will not not communicate with anything. Let me preface this by saying I have searched all the various threads regarding updating drivers etc.....
When I say my device won't communicate with anything I mean AT ALL. Device isn't detectable using ADB while booted into recovery, It isn't detected using "fastboot devices" command while booted into bootloader. Keep getting the "waiting for device' I tried to update the drivers in windows, but the phone no longer shows up in the Device Manager on my Windows laptop which makes it impossible to update the drivers. I also know my drivers are not the problem. I have a Nexus 6p which communicates perfectly on my Mac, on my Windows PC, via ADB and Fastboot..... I tried to see if my mac would recognize the device, so i tried all of the above on my mac to no avail. I also tried to place a rom file on a usb drive, use an adapter to connect the usb to the phone and jump it onto the phones internal storage. No matter the size of file I place on the usb, it always shows as 196Mb, TWRP lets me switch to OTG usb to install the file, but the shows no files on the jump drive.
So I have a phone that will boot into TWRP, but I can't move any files onto my internal storage in order to flash them. I can also boot into the bootloader fine, but the devices isn't recognized so I can't flash a stock Img.
It seems I am screwed at this point. Tried Wugfresh Nexus Root Toolkit as well and get the same "waiting for device" error.
Anybody got anything I can try to bring this thing back to life?

Sounds like maybe a wonky usb port. Maybe dirt stuck in there? Maybe replace it (there are videos out there). Maybe just pull the back and push it gently to see if it works then.
