You're in a bootloop. Power the tablet down. Go buy/make yourself a fastboot cord. Now use the system restore tool, choose option 3. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1951254
Edit: Jelly Bam is way outdated, if memory serves me. I don't think it's been in development for some time now.

i recommend the blackhat adapter mentioned in hashcodes 2nd bootloader+twrp tutorial. And from what i know i don't think fastboot cables are useful with an s4, i don't know much about other devices, but don't the s4's use the loki exploit to install a custom rom?

When I go to properties on the usb it says unknown device and says error 43.
I have tried 4 cables and same thing. I tried all usb ports and also diff computer.
Also I tried updating driver but it says already updated.

Try the drivers in my signature, if it still persists I would worry because typically I remember the equivalent to this message back when I was running xp, and I usually only got that if there was a short somewhere in the USB connection. Feel free to read this: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/errorc/a/code-43-error.htm

What made you want to switch from a factory cable to a regular USB? Hold the power button down for 30 seconds until it powers down. Now use a fastboot cord only and plug into tablet and computer. When you type fastboot into cmd, what does it say? Have you tried running Kindle Fire FirstAide yet?
Sent from my Amazon Kindle Fire HD running CM 10.2 using xda app-developers
it says waiting for device
plus i read somewhere to unbrick u use the FACTORY cable to go into fastboot mode only than you switch to REGULAR cable after.

You need to read some more then. There is a reason steps are listed. Your ADB drivers must be set up proper. Try to run KFFA with the fastboot cord attached in fastboot.

Can you screenshot the device manager with the error and maybe the page with the hardware id's on the details tab. To screenshot, hit the print screen button on your keyboard, open paint and hit paste and save the file.

here is what you have requested.
also if i may add when i boot up it comes to a red screen and i cannot do anything after that. it stays on that screen
Ah that is very bad, I have seen a few cases of this happening on the forum, for all I know it could be something shorted out on the motherboard or a loose solder joint on one of the data terminals for the micro USB plug on the kindle. This is how it shows up with a normal cable right? Not the fastboot cable? Because I could understand it doing this with the fastboot cable possibly, but not the normal one.

Once you bootloop or in your case , get a red screen, your device won't be readable. The USB won't recognize your drivers. Set ADB drivers up right and use a factory cord (not USB cord) run KFFA or you can try this link too. Can't post the link.nXDA app strikes again.
Search KFHS system.IMG tool. Try that.

Hi, My brother has a rooted kindle (Which I rooted for him, he doesn't know much about root, but he wanted the play store). His kindle was starting to get laggy, and random touch input, Im thinking it's happening because it's just slow. I'm not sure what app is causing this, but just to point out.. So he wanted to format. I'm not sure if it will brick his kindle since it's rooted. But I did see a forum page about someone's phone on a black screen because it was rooted and he formatted it. So should I unroot it then format? Am I missing something?
You do not want to format your kindle. Instead install a new rom such as kinology. Follow all instructions.

Thanks for the reply, but the kindle's bootloader isn't unlocked. Is there a workaround or anything from flashing a rom?

Okay, Ill try it, thanks for the info. (Ill get a fastboot cable from ebay too.)
I'm not a noob when it comes to android but this KFHD is kicking my butt. Okay, I bought a Kindle Fire HD 7 Demo Unit off craigslist thinking it was a regular unit. I'm trying to use fastboot to install Cyanogenmod but it's not working. All drivers are installed. In Device Manager, it comes up as Android Device > Android ADB interface. In Device and Printers, it still shows up as TATE-PVT-08. My problems is when I run the code, "fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product", it just skips to the next command line without listing my device. I attached a picture of my CMD below.

What's the best firmware version to use?
My Kindle Fire HD 7" is not in a good way. I will power up and allow me access to the app screen, but that is about it. Any time I try to launch an app it goes to a black screen and I have to cycle power in order to get it back. I am not able to swipe down at all to get the menu to appear, so I have no access to settings at all. I have been bumping around on this forum and based on the fact that I can't turn on the ADB, I bought a factory cable to help me access my KFHD. Now what?? I would like to do a full system restore on it to see if that will help with the issue that I have, but the thread on this forum that discusses that has dead links.
I am very new to this (so call me a n00b), but I want to try to fight through this myself. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having problems using safestrap (lastest) to install any 4.4 rom on the droid 4. I do it, like I've done any other rom, and the phone vibrates and then it restarts, I'll try to post a video of my completely process, but is there something I'm missing when it comes to safestrap and 4.4?
