Quick Charge 2.0 power bank - One (M8) Accessories

since htc one m8 has quick charge and htc will release soon the 2,0 charger im wondering if there is any power bank compilant with quick charge 2.0 anyone? and link if you have one thanks

Im intrigued about this too, I have the M8 and my father has a Galaxy S5. My thought is when we go to a race and dont have our chargers we could just plug into the bank and boom charged. could be a good addition to a battery bank but even better is to incorporate it into a battery case like a Mophie case. Then you could use your phone( games maybe or surfing the web etc while charging instead of sitting at a %) and juice up the battery. Still waiting for Mophie to make case for the M8, hopefully.

Charger for extra battery

So, I purchased an extra battery from Samsung the other day(theyre so cheap! ). I figured I could carry it with me for when my first battery runs out of juice. Thing is, I'm not sure how I can charge both batteries simultaneously.
A guy at an accessory store tells me that using one of those clip style universal chargers is bad for the battery. He offered me one of those chargers that you pop a AA battery cell into and connect to your phone. Kind of defeats the purpose. What do people here use? Or can someone who knows more about this please weigh in?
Sorry if this has been asked before. I don't have access to the internet, only have GPRS access, and the XDA app sucks for search.

i use a wall charger for stand alone charging and it shows up as 100% when you turn the phone on, after like 1 min it drops to 99%
which make sense since you are already eating the battery
if you pop the fully 100% battery charged into the phone and have a usb plugged in, it will stay at 100% until you unplug it
those wall chargers from ebay like $2 works great!
deal extreme have them for around $3 free shipping

Anybody tried Solar Powered Battery Chargers?

Hi Guys,
Anyone tried Solar Powered Battery Chargers?
Looking at this one here :
source : 6000 mAh Solar Powered Mobile Power Extended Emergency Battery - Obostore
I'm looking fior the same. I bought recantly GOAL ZERO Nomad -7. Instead of charging it drains the power of my Note-2. I guess it is because of the non-standard pin-out (11 pins), so this is the one I would definitely not recommend.

I haven't seen any positive reviews about any solar powered chargers. The problem is that you need to apply voltage (bias it) in order for it to work. Like those solar power panels on the roof of people - if you loose a power to the house, they will not work So they might be draining instead of charging lol!!!
Don't know for sure how it works and if it works and how efficiently. So if anybody has any real life experience, please chime in. Most of the big name external battery vendors don't want to carry this product. I only seen it on ebay and Aliexpress.
I personally haven't tried one. From what I've seen about them, they're very fast, and can be nick-picky about the angle to the sun. On top of it, you'll probably need to check what's the output versus what the phone needs to change.
I think you're probably better off finding some kind of crank mechanism and use that to change the phone. Plus, you'll get a little work out too; you'll live longer to enjoy your phone, 8)
I have a voltaic that I use when camping or on extended hikes. It comes with a 3000mah battery. I haven't used it on the Note2 yet, but used it a lot with my Fascinate. The battery works fine as backup power, though it charges slowly and the phone pretty much has to be off for it to be effective. It takes most of a day of full sun to recharge the contained battery. It's ok if you're going to be away from power for a week, but for less than that I think just an extra battery or two fully charged would work better.
I think we just need to find or build one that supports 2.1 amps (ideally) but anything over 1amp should do something.

I have one I found at Best Buy a couple years ago. It's a single amp box, so charges my Note II very slowly. I've used it on my bike when I'm out on rides. I have a mount for it and my phone. While riding, I use bluetooth headphones. It does work, but like someone else said, there needs to be one with 2.1 amps.
I as well have a Nomad 7, but mine charges my note without issue, although I will admit, it is impractically slow.
I bought this couple of months ago, charging the phone is a wii bit slow but it works like a champ!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Opteka-4000...iPad-iPod-Android-Phone-Charger-/370665663271
I wouldn't mind if the solar power was a "backup" to a regular external battery, but if all it did was solar I wouldn't be interested.

WICKED... just stumbled across this on ebay. If you are a roll your own DIY type and want to charge a rapid charge device like Note2 or a tablet or something, this might be a great thing to look at.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-DC-5V-36...018?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c700c47c2
I, personally, don't like the mini-usb connector... seems kind of goofy. I'd prefer just two wire terminals to connect solar panels to.
But yeah, if you've got high voltage solar setup... e.g. anything between 5V and 36V and want to have a clean, regulated 5V usb compliant output, this would likely be your guy. I'd also want to make sure it really does work with note2 - in terms of negotiation of currents higher than 100ma. YMMV FWIW
AND if you don't need note2/tablet 2A...
this guy seems like about the right fit.

Qualcomm Quick Charge External Battery from TechMatte

Alright, so I have a review for the Quick Charge External Battery / Power Bank from TechMatte. I was provided a free item in exchange for my unbiased review that I post somewhere on the internet. Alas, here I am.
So, with this quick charger and my LG G4, it's pretty simple. I charge the quick charger (takes an hour or so to charge it up) and then I just plug my phone into it. It registers as fast charging, and I just let it go from there.
From almost dead, my phone charged to full in about an hour's time. The first half hour was the fastest-- it went from 10% to 60%, and then it slowed down a little.
I have been able to get 2 full charges on the power bank, and then I recharged it.
Pretty basic design; small for it's size. I can easily fit it in my purse, or if you're a guy, you could easily fit it in your pocket.
I would highly recommend check it out-- it's probably going to be a lifesaver for me in the future.
Thanks for the free sample!! BTW, I follow them on twitter-- they post stuff for free from time to time in exchange for a review (like this). It's totally worth it.
Thanks for reading, and patronize this company!

Thanks for the review! I'll check one out!! I have the S6, though, so It should still work for that one, right?
My wife has the G4, so perhaps we both can use it.
What model phone do you have? The Aukey brand quick chargers definitely did not work with my T-Mobile phone.
I saw this one on Amazon and it caught my eye because this smaller than every other 10000 mAh portable battery (who actually needs thst much juice?). I'd like something I could keep in my pocket without being so aware that it's there.

I have the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 battery. I got it on Amazon for about $25. It has a 5.2 amphour battery. It is tiny and it works well.
Using the Q-port I can charge my LG G4 from 15% to full in just over an hour. I 've also used it to charge my tablet, my wife's G3 and my daughter's Nexus 4. The standard port provides up to 2 amps which gives good charge times for any device that can use the extra power.
All in all, a nice, well made and handy device. Well worth $25

Alright, I have the charger. It takes a little longer than an hour to charge from like 20% to full. It's nice and small, and it seems like a good product. Both my S6 and my wife's G4 work well on it. It's a keeper!!

Capacity of the power bank is 5600mah.
Two charges is 6000mah. you must have charged when battery was not flat

Its not 10000mah, its 5600mah.
As to why 10kmah is needed there is at least 25% efficiency loss. So your 10000mah is now 7000mah. Enough for two full charges. Whatever figure you see, knock 30% off of the main figure and depending on which brand maybe another 20%.

I meant OTHER power banks being 10000 mAh, not this one.
I still think 10000 is more than enough. Who needs 2+ full charges in a single day? Being able to top my phone off while in the office or being able to swap to a full battery, it's not even necessary for me to ever require a full charge. I like the idea of this particular charger because it can sit in my pocket and keep my phone topped off when not in use.

I don't see the need for a power bank at all when there is the option of replaceable batteries.
There is no need for a 2 charges in a single day unless you're into heavy gaming. otherwise its handy when you're away from a power source for more than a day.

it weighs as much as the phone. a spare battery is a fraction of that and would fit in your wallet.

I agree with you on that first point. I have a power bank, but haven't really touched it since I upgraded from the Nexus 5 to the G3 and still don't need it while I have th G4. I pretty much use it only to charge my spare G4 battery after I swap or occasionally charge my Nexus 7 when I'm carrying it and it's low charge.
I'm really into the idea of getting a power bank that is wireless charging compatible, though. Have my eye on one from Mugen. I like the idea of just keeping my phone in a pocket and it keeping a charge.

in a pocket means it will move around. these wireless chargers can be quite particular about positioning.
a wired power bank would be more reliable.
i like the idea of wireless charging on a flat surface and having a number of them around, unfortunately in the market where i live the dual sim G4 variant does not support it.

External Batteries for Note 5

Hi guys,
So I am almost 100% certain that I'm going to be getting the Note 5, which as we all know comes with a 3,000 mAh battery (which cannot be removed), I'm thinking that I'm going to need to keep a power bank on me when I'm traveling. The power bank that I had for my Note 4 (which worked quite well) was from TechMatte. I got it on amazon about a year ago, and it's still going strong.
Do you guys think that it will still work well for the Note 5? I think that it will still work fine, but I'm wondering which one you guys use-- perhaps I might upgrade if a good priced one is mentioned?
Thanks!!
I use a limefuel Been using it for several months now. It works great. They did have a problem with bad batch where the USB ports would either come lose or no longer work, but since there was a 1 year warranty I got a free replacement

Anyone could do a comparison review of the two? Is Aukey battery a new released one? I had the CHOETECH one. It's a pretty high quality PowerBank good for both Samsung and Apple users, because its fast charging port is compatible with iOS devices (at fast rate 2.1Amps max).

I have seen the comparison on one of third party website between these two power banks. It seems like un-biased but I am not much sure about it: http://www.lonpower.com/aukeys-powe...neration-quick-charge-2-0-based-power-bank-2/
I do to.
I just received my Aukey 10000mah model# pb-t4. And fast charging works. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B011U0AY22/ref=ya_aw_oh_pii?ie=UTF8&psc=1
i read somewhere that Quick Charging does wear the battery quicker. ever since i read that, i've avoided Quick Charging my S6e unless i really needed the juice quickly. i just don't want to own a brick sooner than later if true, especially since we cant replace the battery. on my S6e, it fully charges in 1hr 12min with the Adaptive charger while with a regular 2.4A charger, it fully charges in 1hr 20min. i haven't checked my Note 5 Duos yet. but i always have 2 power banks with me in my camera bag anyway whenever i'm carrying it which is almost always.
i've got several branded power banks including those from Anker and Aukey, but the only one that has held up the longest and still performs really well is my Mophie. it just doesn't have as large a capacity as my other power banks.

How big you looking? I have a 28600 anker that has fast charge. They now have a USB C PD bank that should charge faster than reg USB to C. Have heard RAV are good also. Just putting that out so you can have a choice and compare. I do know one thing I got a 5k version for my son non fast charge. I took it on vacation in July invade we needed a smaller charger on the go. Forgot it was in the suitcase. I pulled it out last week and it still had a full charge. I was looking around 10Ah, else they get too heavy for just me. For when my family travels, 20-40.
What's the URL/model for your 28600? I don't see any with that value on Amazon.com (oh, the 26800 for $83?)

I have the Samsung Fast Charge 5100 mAh battery Pack w/ USB-C and it's a great little charger. The screen on charge is 1010mA average and the screen off charge is 2356 mA average. I purchased mine for $37. If it's for yourself and not a gift, you can get the damaged packaging one from Amazon Warehouse deals for $25.91. I love the small size of the charger and the build is great. I also purchased this Soft Felt Pouch for the charger.

This question for everyone. How long does the battery pack hold its charge? A week, month, longer? My main reason is power outages. My last portable would be dead by the time I actually needed it. Would be nice one held juice 2-3 months. Idk if thats possible? I live in the city. We usually have power outage once every few months. Sucks being in the stone age for 0-6 hours. Depending on what caused it and how much damage.

Heavy power consuming apps and constant usage if WhatsApp and Facebook will definitely drain the battery of any smartphone. And power bank is one of the solutions to this thing who are traveling continuously. That's why I'm using Anker 20100mAh power bank, this power bank charge 2 device simultaneously at faster speeds.
