You can send it off to LG, I think it's like $130-$150 to get it fixed. Given it's just cracked in the corner, a case would probably cover that up in the mean time.

Well, in Indonesia, LG replace the broken screen for the first 6 months warranty for free, only for LG G2.
yep
I have this issue too. Dropped mine (in the included case) and it fell out of the case , gently tapping the ground and I have about an inch crack down the left of the screen. Only hairline but still it's noticeable during use. Might give it a go replacing myself as I'm not paying LG £100.

The guy is pretty damn slow but i get the idea. heat the screen, wedge it off the lcd. Clean, stick new digitser on.
what is the cleaning solution he used? Just, that is going to be a key part, as it needs to be perfectly clean before you put the digitiser glass over it, or I will forever have to put up with a sticky horrible looking screen! Any tips, advice, and your recommendations for screen cleaner would be great.
I asked LG People They told that they will fix it for 130$ and I can't claim the warranty as it's physical damage..

90% alcohol to clean the LCD and you can use a razor blade to scrape the big stuff off. Be warned I fix phones as a hobby that pays and separating the glass from the digitizer/LCD is not easy! You should look it up on YouTube there are a lot of videos of it being done with Samsung phones. The key to it is the right amount of heat (too much will damage the LCD) and going very slow. If you crack the LCD it will cost more to replace it than the cost to have LG do it. The guy in the video was a little too rough in my opinion and I suggest using a plastic pick. Be very gentle and take your time all the way through. Good luck!

When sending the unit in LG repair dept, do we need to attach the Proof of Purchase along? I've lost the receipt and don't know what I should do.

I'd just put a znitro tempered glass protector on that with a case and be done.
I replaced my screen (water damage) with one from Ebay. Cost $120 and I did the work myself. Though, you really don't need a new screen.

Hi I hit my phone and it has damage on the white part of the phone and on the speakers cover on the front. I ordered the replacement for the cover, but I have no idea how can I replace it without damaging my phone. Please help if possible.
Thanks
Apparently the top speaker cover is screwed in. The bottom one can pop off, but I've read that it can be very difficult.
Probably unlikely you can remove the covers without damaging the phone.

I think the speakers cover, white plastic and aluminum back body are all glued together in one piece so it would be very hard (if not impossible) to replace any of those separately.
I'm confused. From my understanding, the speakers are part of the unibody design. You cannot remove it unless you're removing the entire body. Look at the following image:

That's the problem right there. The rubber piece has been torn off due to excessive use. i just noticed a piece of rubber is missing on my phone too and Sony isn't going to cover physical damage cause by negligence of the owner. In short, we're to blame for not taking adequate care of the flaps. Anyway, good luck and do tell me if they get it fixed for you. Sony India refused.

Neither do i. BTW your phone isn't water resistant anymore until you get that fixed. I had a little water seep through that's when i found out that the rubber is coming of.
Edit: Just to clarify things, i asked if mine would be taken under warranty and they said no. I didn't ask how much it would cost. There's a chance that they might just replace the rubber instead of the entire flap, hopefully, so try your luck.

i have a question also to all rubber seals .Xperia Z is now like 6 month old how is the qualtiy and the snapping until now. Does it become a bad snapping feeling?
The reason why iam asking is that i want to buy maybe the Xperia Z Ultra and want to be sure that the qualtiy of the rubber seal is good.
Any luck getting it fixed guys
Mine just got torn of overnight.....i left my phone beside my bed charging it next thing you know i just cant seem to get it to lock in place then i saw the rubber piece got removed(the phone is just 1 month old)....luckily i found it and tried gluing it back but the piece got torn of so a bit of bad luck there.Any chnace the service centere could fix it i dont mind paying though (xperia z ultra)
the flap pulls right out. so just buy a new one online and pull the old one out
done, much better than spending a good chunk at a service center. and it's not like they could tell you did it so you'll still have warranty

Sacrificial? I guess that means we can easily source a replacement seal.

How hard is it to replace the flaps? And anyone have a source? My problem one is the charging one, as obviously that gets opened and bloody closed daily.
The flaps are really a poor design. My only physical complaint on the phone.

They pull out? Have you done this, or read of it being done this way? Everything I keep seeing indicates the rear needs removal for it.
Looking at the pics I've seen though, they should be able to be installed with them in place, but it'd be touch and go pulling it out without snapping it. If you had a really fine micro "slim-jim" type tool you might be able to push it down the hole and trip any clasp.
I also guess even if it did break, you could install the replacement without the thether... It probably would work better without, you'd just have to not lose them... I mean having them flapping when open is irritating, and probably the reason the rubber seals are damaged. In fact, looking at my phone now while it is charging, I can see that the rubber seal when open is physically touching the USB cable. Bad bad design...
Cheers

Hi , its repairable mean u will need to buy new glass, my glass has broken twice both the times touch and everything was working except glass had lots cracks. It costs arnd 2000/- INR ( approx 35 $) in India.
After second time my glass broke i feel like replacement part from LG service center are not of good quality. First time it was my mistake but second time it was hardly a simple fall on floor. anyways get it changes from LG repair center they can do it in few minutes if they have the part available.

There are several disassembly/repair videos on Youtube that explain the whole thing:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rXX7Rm4gnA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Po8hBaZt__o
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqr24qLuXCE
In my opinion, it is fairly easy to repair, but I have repaired some devices before. If you haven't, watch the videos and decide for yourself.
Get the right tools and replacement parts, a glass/digitizer is like 20€ on Ebay, have some glue, and you may or may not need the filler pads that go around the glass border (I repaired mine without the filler pads).
Better buy a digitizer with side bezel attached. They are a little expensive, but a lot easier to change. I ordered only digitizer and used 3M thin double sided tape to glue it, but that is a pain in the ass to fix properly.

Definitely the easiest way and I recommend it since I'm sure your frame is also damaged.
Changed my screen to a white one from eBay yesterday I bought a bezel and digitizer separately . I received double-sided tape with the bezel (or frame) which made it very easy to attach. But I hade to use the small filters and other details from my old phone. Works great!
Just make sure to not get fingerprints on the LCD itself, it's very hard to remove and also be careful when removing the LCD, it's attached a bit hard and it's easily damaged. I cracked one.
A side note: on eBay the pictures of the chinese digitizers are without the LG logo at the top. But they do have it, just copyright stuff you know.

Check with Sony first. I think the are offering replacements if the screen is one straight crack rather than a siderweb crack.
If not the replacement isn't too bad. Just did mine last night. Got the parts from witrigs. Just need a heat gun some pery tools and guitar picks along with the hex screw driver.

One thing to watch out for that wasn't covered in the videos I watch was when removing the rear glass there is a small film that covers the rear microphone port. Becareful when prying near that area at the top of the phone and don't stick the pick too far in otherwise you will damage that film which will ruin the waterproofing of it.

My Xperia T's front panel/screen/faceplate lifted from the bottom half. Phone still works fine, read all my touch controls. but it may proved problematic soon. I see black strips which assumingly is the adhesive strips/gasket around the phone.
I do not know how to disassemble the phone, nor do I want to if it's not necessary. I can find the video and watched some myself. But from what I see, disassembly does not include my problem, they showed how to remove screw to get to the screen/digitizer in one. but how to "glue" it back.
Now I'm seeing some LOCA adhesive glue on eBay, maybe I can just buy it, apply a very light layer on and around the edges/adhesive strips, and push it in and over UV light for a minute, maybe it'll stay glued. the LOCA adhesive liquid also doesn't seem to damage or lose touch effectiveness on other phones, like Apple or Samsung, but I don't know about Xperias.
What do you think? How can I fix my problem the easy way? or any way?
