When I'm in Google Now I should be able to say "Note to self" to make a reminder in the Todoist (or any other note app).
I have Todoist and Google Keep installed but everytime I try making a note, it tells me that there is no notes app installed.
The command itself is recognized correctly.
Any Ideas?

Working fine here. Possibly you need to change your google AND system language to english (us)
Okay I just changed my languages to German and tried it, I couldn't reproduce your error. See Screenshot. My last idea is that you have to be signed in in your google apps or establish some kind of linkage between now and keep.
Okay problem.fixed: gmail app needs to be installed (god knows why)
Gesendet von meinem HTC One mit Tapatalk
I just fixed this error by going to Settings -> Security -> Apps with usage access, and enabling Google Play Services.
This appears to be linked to an app being open that does something with system sound. I get this error occasionally and if I close apps in memory it goes away.
I have noticed this error often when I am using Google Maps for navigation, the phone is "off" (screen off, phone locked, still giving directions - you know), and I say "Ok Google.....Note to Self blah blah blah". Google Now will sometimes show "No notes app installed". But if I immediately say the same thing again ("Ok Google" trigger phrase or pressing the mic button then the "Note to self....") it works without issue. Any suggestions?
A little more info: I'm running Android 6.0.1 on a Nexus 5X on Project Fi
I know this is an old thread, but it shows up in searches...
Essential, Oreo 8.1.
Same problem, with Wunderlist.
Fixed by going to Security -> Google Services and Preferences -> Sign-in and Security -> Less Secure Apps -> Turn on.

Hi All
This weekend I installed parallel Whatsapp for my second number. I have a private number and work number so I need two Whatsapps.
Since I cloned whatsapp, I get "Communication error 16" when using Android Auto.

The problem is similar to one they had a couple of years ago on the Oneplus 3. There's a thread about it on their forum. If I remove parallel Whatsapp, AA functions normally again.
Anybody who knows about any fixes or workarounds for this? On the Oneplus forum it seems that the problem was solved by an update of the ROM so I'm afraid that this might not be an easy one.
Try using GBWhatsapp (or similar Whatsapp clone) as an alternative to parallel Whatsapp for your second account (phone number).
Thanks @mNiosu, that looks like a great workaround.
I did find a better solution however. When installing parallel apps, the Mi 9 asks to clone the "Google services framework". Because I needed Whatsapp on my work number as well, I took the plunge and recreated the parallel app, this time without cloning the Google Services Framework.
Android Auto now works flawlessly. A really simple solution but you have to know it of course.
Pls help
@ljo13
Hey. Super. I have the same problem.
You solution sounds great. But I'm not able to do it...
Mave u can make a short video or a detailed description. I would appreciate a lot.
Thx

I think they disable that option because it wasn't "smart " enough to detect if you were driving, a passenger or even on a train.
There are two options to enable DnD (do not disturb). None is a native option. First, like I do, install android auto and set the bluetooth device. The second one is an app named driving inspector.
Hope it helps.

It is possible to "copy" the native options from my S7 edge?
I want this function because I use it every day with no other app installed :/
PS: I searched "driving inspector" on google and play store but I can't find it.

Forgot to mentioned that it only happens when I'm using Google Messages as default text messages
As far as I can tell, the process `com.oplus.safecenter` is responsible for this prompt.
Even after removing that application, I get a different message, but it's similar (asking to allow Messages to send a message). Very annoying, and I wish there was more understanding of what causes this, because it's preventing me from using the phone.
Had the same issue. Only fix I had was removing Google messages using default app and installing carrier services from playstore. Texts worked fine after this

Mine was fully bugged heard it might be cause the phones on china servers
Hey guys. I solved the issue! Here's how to get rid of that annoying/nonsensical prompt.
1. Check out this guide here and prepare to use this process to remove system apps without root; you'll need it: https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/
2. remove this package first: `com.oplus.safecenter`
(NOTE: If you stop here, it will still preserve the prompt, but you can simply click "Accept" instead of having to authenticate the sending of a regular SMS via Face Unlock or Fingerprint)
3. (optional step): remove this package next: `com.coloros.phonemanager`
4. This is the important step: >remove this package last: `com.oplus.securitypermission`
BAM! You are good...now feel free to enjoy trouble-free SMS texting. Haven't noticed any unusual or undesirable side-effects, either!
One update: the process responsible for this is com.oplus.securitypermission. It appears that removing this package affects the ability to easily modify app permissions after the initial setup.
I will do a little more investigating to see if this package can be replaced with something else.
So I got official version F15 of ColorOS 13.
Until now I found 2 bugs:
1. Floating windows scale/size
- replication steps:
a) set display size in settings to Small. b) as a result floating window of calculator is wrongly resized/scaled (missing bottom row of buttons).
- workaround: set display size to Standard

}
2. Unable to pay with NFC using Google Pay
- replication steps:
a) clone WhatsApp or Line App (e.g. for work purposes)
b) setup backup options for your chat history using Google account. You will be prompted to add a new Google account (hidden, available only for cloned apps, it wont be available in your accounts list in settings). You cannot use google account that is already setup as your main account on your phone.
c) as a result Google Wallet clone (for this new google account) will be created. This google wallet has a higher priority than your main one.
d) whenever you try to pay with your NFC just by putting your phone over card terminal youll get on terminal an error and on your phone you will notice that there are no cards added (empty wallet for this new google account)
e) when you go to NFC setting you will notice double Google Pay option. Changing radio button selection does not solve the problem
f) your main google wallet tells you that it is set as default but this the second (cloned) google wallet has somehow a higher priority
- workaround: whenever you want to pay just open Google Wallet app (the main one) and put your phone over the card terminal
With the F.77 version Google Pay issue is fixed.
Hi, all of you guys, this is my first time post thread on this forum. I'm from HK, sorry for my poor English, I'm excited that I can get perfectly GMS on my Mate X2.

If you already installed native GMS before and it works fine.
look like this method:
The Guide is based on@Mobius @0NHOLD, After my test, I just change some steps, now can get notification perfectly! ! !Thanks to everyone who contributed to the notification issue on Huawei phones.
What works:
- Notifications
- PlayStore
- Play services upgradeable to any version
- Google Sound Search (Work for Google Apps

- Android Auto
- Google apps such as Youtube, Gmail etc.
- Games and apps that require Google Services Framework and Play Store
- Google location history
- Banking app
What doesn't work:
- Google Pay / Wallet (Not working for sure)
- The "Hey Google" feature in Google Assistant
- Add more Google account
Guide is here:
*I already uninstall "Google Account Manager" , No longer install any version of “Google Account Manager" *
But all map functions and sync are working fine.

1) Here download(Multi-Tool for Huawei devices)
https://pro-teammt.ru/en/multi-tool-huawei-honor/
2) Before your devices connect to PC and open Multi-Tool, you need to enable USB Debugging first
3) Plug in the cable and set the airplane mode.
4) Go to Modifications > Show > Select " com.google.android.gsf " > Disable
5) Disable airplane mode ---> Reboot the phone
6) Done! You can *#*#426#*#* on your dialer to check,FCM should connected to server
Don't check with this apps "Push notification tester", This is inaccurate and will show like this
7) Finally, If you want to receive notification when you after install any new apps, you can setup these two location.
Change the apps you don't want battery optimization to "Not allowed"
Close the app manage automactically and change the app to manage manually, app notifications will effect normally
Finished setup, works perfectly even each time reboot your phone! No need to re-do the settings after reboot
Enjoy!!!
Now it is almost the same as the factory GMS phone
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here show you the result after I tested
Before:
You can see the launch records, even I setup battery optimization and change to manage manually, some google apps are still blocked from backend, missing or never startup(such as LINE, Youtube, Gmail), No notifications.
After:
After fix notification issues, the missing or never startup apps now are working properly.
