....for my H/K m8 to arrive via mail I found this 64 gb class 10 micro sd card on Ebay with free shipping if anyone is interested. It is from a reputable memory maker and seller has 100% positive feedback rating (over 4000 reviews). Pretty good price with free shipping. Here is the link if anyone is interested:
This is the link. Not sure how long this price will last! ($24.99)
PS. I don't have a performance review because I just ordered mine on 5/12/14. I will update thread with performance review once I receive it.
Sharing is caring!
*Update: Card never shipped and I am awaiting refund.
*Update: Received refund, lesson learned. Thank you @aer0zer0, @MindfulSheep and @redpoint73 for the scolding and valuable info.
It's fake, I bought the same one. Got my money back though.

Here are results from that card, I bought from the exact same seller 3 weeks ago
I thanked for refund
Your pictures do not show manufacturer or anything that says your test is on the same card. I will let you know if it's fake when I get mine. Seller does not have 1 bad review related to this card. You just posted three times in a row with no proof of this card being fake lIke you claim.
Rule of thumb: If it sounds too good to be true, and Ebay is involved, it's not legitimate.

eBay just has too many counterfeits. The eller does have a really good rating. But its still not worth it to me, when I can buy from a reputable seller (NewEgg, Amazon) for around $10 more, and be positive its legit and a vendor with a highly reliable return policy.

So, i work at a company where i have to work with alot of conformity marks. We got dinged a couple years ago for having a CE logo that wasnt to dimensions (they are REALLY tough on this). If you look at the package on the back where the conformity logos are, the CE logo is all messed up. STRIKE1
I put the SD card in my laptop before it even went into my phone, it registers 62.8GB free EXFAT...... Thats definitely not right for a 64GB, should be around 59 and change formatted properly...STRIKE2
Then i ran H2testW on the card, and you can see the results from the pictures i posted STRIKE3.
Its pretty impressive for a knockoff, the screen printing is nice, packaged well etc... but it is what it is

Yeah, I've seen far to many reports like this on XDA. Its unfortunate that so many knockoffs have polluted eBay, as I'm sure there are plenty of legit sellers. But for things like SD (easy to counterfeit and make it look like a much more expensive version), I only buy direct from a reputable vendor (Amazon, NewEgg, etc.).
I know it sounds to good to be true but memory is fairly cheap right now. I will take my chances if it does not test good I will file a claim and hope to get my money back.

FYI you should never buy Kingston. They're re-branded "A-Grade" SD cards (They have slightly more defective sectors/Not the best of the batch), and you never know what the factory making them is. (Most of the time they're Toshiba or Sandisk) Stick with Sandisk/Samsung/etc
Op is going to get a fake card. This has been going on for years now, I can't believe people still fall for it.

What does "working perfectly" mean? Did you test it for speed and capacity?
Speed class might be hard to tell the difference without testing apps depending on what you are saving to the SD.
Capacity on the fakes will falsely report to the phone (so it will show up as full capacity) until you hit the actual capacity (i.e. an actual 8GB card faked to look like a 64GB), then it won't be able to right any more filees.

Sorry mods about the thread that could go in another thread. But people should see this deal before it is gone. After that feel free to merge it with any thread you feel it needs to go to.
OKAY EVERYONE! READ
Just got this deal too amazing to pass up!
Go to:
http://www.jr.com/order/basket.jsp?...Hash=0a2ace30df7d42028f38788bbc64e14d7ffee550
There will be a 16GB Nexus 7 in your cart with free shipping!
Don't forget to add the July4 promo code for $15 off!!!
Now the Tablet will cost you a total of $234 (unless you live in NY, the tax NY sorry)
Also, the free shipping uses UPS to ship to your USPS post office, THEN Usps delivers to your door. It happens all the time buying from amazon. Just sucks if your mailbox is too small. Then USPS will leave you a slip to go pick it up.
So the shipping may be slow, but you can upgrade to 2 day or 1 day for a much better shipping rate than google was offering!
I was going to pre-order from gamestop today, GLAD I WAITED!
OH! Also note: They will only ship to paypal confirmed addresses, so if your address isn't confirmed, you will have to pay with a credit card and manually type your Shipping info.
ALSO: If you use a MASTERCARD credit card (not debit) They will not charge you until it ships. So A) no balance as of yet, and B) when you are charged you know they shipped.
Do this now! Because they already took the Nexus 7 off their main page! Only a matter of time before they fix this link too!
Not sure when it is shipping, because I never saw the actual listing, but for this price, I could wait a week or two.
Happy hunting!
Oh and act now, because this deal could be gone in minutes or hours.

It's tempting. This would be cheaper than the 8GB model in the Google store. Gave OP a thanks even though I'm not the pre-ordering type. If discount is available from one vendor, it'll be available from another down the road. We appreciate tech toys, but they can only depreciate.
A bit skeptical about this given that the actual item is not currently listed on the site.
I pulled the trigger... worse case they cancel it, I've ordered from J&R before (my laptop) and didnt have any issues with them
ganna see if i can get another 5% out of it via shop discover on my CC

Well this is probably not going to drop lower than this until used/ refurbs come out.
Google is already losing money on these tablets so there isn't much leeway in price. The only reason it is cheap through this site is because the site always offers free shipping. And the coupon code is site wide, so it was a fluke it was useable for the tablet (also probably why they took the Nexus 7 off their site, so they can wait for the coupon deal to end.

Not sure when it will ship. Because they took the listing down. But it should hopefully ship mid July (when Google ships) or end of July (when Gamestop ships them) Either way, I am willing to wait in order to save over $40.

The Item ID does have a 16 at the end, but no proof. I'm going on the OP of the thread that provided this link they said the original description (when it was up) was for a 16gb.
So I'm sure it is a 16gb, but if they run out maybe they will send 8gb and say, well we never said.

It's definetly the 16gb model. I Googled the model number the J&R listed for the Nexus, ASU NEXUS7/1B16, and found the same model number, and pre-sales online at B&H Photo, Frys and Adorama. All three online vendors listed the model number as 16gb. B&H's pre-sale price is $249.00 and the other two vendors are charging 99 cents more for their pre-sales.
I hope this puts some minds at ease.
lol @ $21 NY tax.

One of those could have been mine. Instead, some f&$king a#$%ole decided they would turn a quick buck and resell it on ebay/craigslist for more. To me this was the one thing Google should have prevented, at least initially. No one should have been able to order more than 1 or 2 in the 1st wave. I know they did this when the GN came out....was like a limit of 5 per person I think. There certainly shouldnt have been anyone allowed to purchase 200+ on initial launch.

Google is subsidizing it on the Play Store.
People do that all the time at launches, Google mistake was allowing more than one device to be bought per person. Others are selling it because the mess that happened and they ordered more than one by accident.

200 isn't that much considering how many were sold to legitimate users. I think google would have done better with a strict limit of 2 per order but they went with a higher number.
As an aside I remember when the ps3 came out and resellers got pwnd because there were plenty of supplies.

Ebay is ok but make sure it's a reputable seller and it's not imported (to avoid warranty issues)
Ideally buy the device unlocked - if you can.
Retailer wise, Expansys (owned by Dragon Peter Jones and based in Marlow, Bucks.) is a good retailer but at full retail the device is £519 - ebay 'unwanted upgrades' go for £370 or so.
I've just bought mine from someone local to me, and insisted on seeing it working with my choice of network. As it happens, he couldn't show this due to a handset fault so i've made him RMA the phone to Sony before i send any money. Just be careful if you're new to eBay.
Tesco Mobile offer the XZ so you can goto a Tesco Extra store to see one in person to have a play before buying - if needed.
Good luck and just make sure you're confident with the sellers reputation on ebay before buying

I see, is there any risk with sealed units on ebay? I'm orange pay as you go.
Also if I get it from someone as an unwanted upgrade from Orange is there a high risk that the company blocks the device if he doesn't pay the contract or is it quite dangerous for someone to do that? Also what happens to the warranty when I buy it like this do I need anything from the seller in case I need to rma?

If you worry about all of those things then I'd recommend buying it from a real shop.
But most of the times when you buy it from someone with a very high rating, you won't have any trouble/problems, not even when it comes to warranty. If the phone breaks the chance is very big that you have to pay either way, it won't matter if you bought it from a shop or a reseller.
You are right, so now the thing is to pick the right seller. So I should pick people with 500+ ratting then?
edit: Also you said something about the phone not being imported? so should I ask the seller about that? It needs to be from the UK or europe?

Uhm I don't think that matters.
I'm not sure which version you need in the UK, I think C6603, as long as the version is ok, there shouldn't be a problem where it from since it's an international phone.
People from the states also buy the phone imported because it's not being sold in North America (Not by carrier that is)
And no 500 rating is way to low imo.
This is a good rating
Link
(Not saying that you should buy that one, but just giving an example of a good rating.)
P.S. Please remember that when importing a phone you will have to pay VAT once your package has arrived.
I think you had to pay VAT when the device is from beyond Europe, but not when it's being send from another European country (Could be wrong on this one though).

Don't limit yourself to Ebay. I am selling a XZ on Gumtree because there are no charges and you get to deal with the person face to face. I am sure there are lots of things to be wary of. I don't buy or sell many things so I am not aware of all the pitfalls, though I am sure there are some.
Get more advice from other people if you are thinking of buying from Gumtree, but from what I have seen, (through watching my son-in-law), you show the buyer the item, the buyer gets to see it first hand, and they decide whether to hand over pound notes for it. If the seller seems genuine and the phone is as described, fair enough. If you don't feel right go with your instincts and run.
I personally am very wary of Ebay, but lets be honest, if everyone had a bad experience it wouldn't still exist.
phones 4u are cheap and unlocked
Dont buy it.. Screen is ugly and gets alot of dust also the buttons are very annoying. You have to remove the protectors each time to connect to power and headphone..:good:
Phone is amazing buttons are fine and use the dock and bluetooth then no need to remove flaps

You think I'm going to spend 400£ or more without researching every single aspect of the phone hehe. Thanks for the advice though but it's still the best option for me.

Thanks but if you buy from eBay PayPal feels more secure if something goes wrong but I'll check that site just in case.

I bought mine from 3 mobile for £450 and they unlocked it for £15 although I do not believe they charged me lol.
I wouldn't buy a phone anywhere but a real shop to be fair, although the Z seems pretty robust and I doubt there will be too much to worry about regarding repairing it.

Ebay are biased towards the buyer. If you get no refund from a seller within 14 days, ebay will give you your money back due to distance selling regulations.
Only issue i've encountered with the phone unlocked, is that with every wipe of the phone with SEUS , I have to add the orange APN for internet access. That's easy though.

I see some of these 64GB PNY MicroSDXC cards on eBay and I'm wondering if anyone has bought one and if they're legitimate or not.
I'd sure love 64GB of music on my phone but I simply don't have $60 for a SanDisk one...
Think I should just go for it?

At less than $30 its worth a shot! Just remember to format it to fat32 than pop that sucker in and if its legit, it will read around 59gb external storage.

There's not really any way you can lose here, unless you count your money being tied up in paypal for a few days a loss. eBay/Paypal will pretty much always side with the buyer in cases like this, and the seller is in the US so it will be less of a pain in the ass to get refunds.
Buy one and let us know if it's legit
Ill probaly buy one as well on thursday and let you all know how it goes when I recieve it. Been needing another 64gb card for my secondary phone anyways.

I just purchased this Card just now from the link you provided. I will report back ASAP once i get it the card in the mail
Ordered that 64GB SanDisk for $33... seems like they're all out now.
Aha, yea I ordered one before I posted it just to be sure it wouldn't run out. I asked the seller if they're genuine and he replied saying Yes. So, if it's not, I'll just take it up with eBay.
Did anyone offer a lower price and got it accepted?

Got two of them. One cannot be formatted on PC or Mac. The other one corrupts photos and videos taken with the G4. The 32gb card works just fine. Thanks for nothing...

I'm curious to see how it goes with anyone who uses linux to format the sdcards. I would test, but I'm on vacation, and while I have my laptop, I do NOT have the sdcard (came the day after I left home for a month).
If anyone can test, it'd be great.
The free 128gb card, right?
I can't get mine to mount at all.
The phone says it's either empty or unformatted, asks to format it, tries, and fails. I don't have an SDXC reader to try to format it with the computer.
I just did a chat session with T-mobile, and they referred me to LG's support line...
I'm having a load of other issues as well that I'll put in a separate thread. I'm really not happy with this phone.
Have you tried contacting SanDisk for warranty exchange directly? It might be smoother going through manufacturer than retailers/partners. Maybe they will accept promotion status page as proof of purchase.
Sent from my LG-H811 using XDA Free mobile app
Wow mine works fine didn't have to format or anything. SanDisk is usually very reliable. I would most definitely be pissed and would contact both T-Mobile and LG. Especially since it took so long to get I really feel for ya.
I just used my phone to format the SD card before I started using it. Haven't had any issues.
Well here it is boys.
Contacted SanDisk about the defective cards, was told they are not authentic... both of my 128GB are not authentic.
Based on the pictures you provided, we have determined that this is not an authentic SanDisk retail brand product. Please contact the seller to return it and request a refund.
We can also forward your request to our Brand Protection team so they can investigate and take action against the seller.
Please attach the following additional information in response to this message to assist with our investigation:
Invoice from the seller
Clear Pictures of the product (front and back)
Clear Pictures of packaging (front and back) if available
Please note that the best way to ensure you are purchasing an authentic SanDisk product is to buy from an authorized SanDisk reseller. You may view our distributor/reseller list to locate an authorized SanDisk reseller in your area:

Please respond to this email if you need any further assistance. Thank you for your kind cooperation.

Edit:
SanDisk does not make non Ultra 128GB microSD cards. We got fakes boys
I highly doubt that LG and T-Mobile are sending us fake products. Have SanDisk to forward your message to brand protection team. It could be OEM product that LG pulled from their warehouse.
Just like external HDD. Serial number on the case and the drive usually don't match. If you crack open and submit RMA on the drive alone, they won't see it as authentic.
I won't jump to the conclusion that we got fakes just yet.

I have been searching for an SD card like we all got:
I cannot find one that looks like the one we got. I think that the SanDisk support person was right, these may not be legit. As far as brand protection dept, not sure if that is something that they have. Unless you have some other info...
These are not fake boys.. These aren't the retail version either... Just like hard drives or anything memory these are the mass-produced microSD for specific customers.

if you go to your promotion web page where you submitted your form, there is FAQ
Where can I reach out to if I have any questions regarding this promotion?
You can send your inquiry via email to [email protected] or call
1-800-793-8896.
by the way, both of my 128GB SD card they gave me are superb.
Do not call 1-800-793-8896 as that's just LG's regular support line, they have no clue about the promo. The promo team is a contractor and not employed by LG. LG support will just put you on hold and then just tell you to email the promo team.
Email [email protected] and politely explain the issue. My promo battery arrived dented (since they threw it into a pouch with the charger that pressed into it during shipping), so I sent them a picture and an explanation and they shipped me another one for free, didn't even ask for the dented one back. Just be polite, it goes a long way.
Here is an update:
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you however the cards being used by you are OEM grade cards and do not look like Retail grade cards. As of now I would request you to try formatting the cards using SD Formatter and if that does not help you may get the cards replaced from the place of purchase as the process of replacement may be faster with the original seller or you can reply to this email and we will replace the cards with Retail Ultra 128 GB Micro SD cards. Please refer to the link mentioned below to download SD Formatter.
Got an RMA setup for both cards from SanDisk.

Doesn't SanDisk supply codes with their products that let you know if it's genuine or not? I bought a 16GB ultra 10 not so long back and it's been flawless, I'm sure it came with a little piece of paper with a genuine code thing on it? Or was that Spigen? I forget, lol.
