Your problem is not from rooting. You may have inadvertently messed up something in your system partition. Try to lg flash tool back to stock.

⬆⬆⬆⬆ Rooting cannot break knock on. I would try
1. Make sure it's on and toggle it either way
2. Factory reset after making a LG backup and dragging that file over to your computer. Then reset and drag the file back To the LGbackup folder on your phone. Restore from backup and the whole process shouldn't take more than 5min and you're phone will be exactly the way you had it setup still.

Did you by chance downgrade from 4.4 at some point?

Yeah def try these first before restoring back to stock. Also some xposed modules can break features
You need to update your touch firmware in the hidden service menu. I could provide you with how to get there if you had mentioned what variant of the flex you have

I'd LOVE to know how to fix this issue on AT&T 950 variant. That's the only thing keeping me from flashing back to 4.2.2 so I can install custom recovery. If you know how to fix it when I downgrade from KK to JB I'd be forever grateful.

Like justinwidebody suggested dial 3845#*959# then click "Settings" then "Update Touch Firmware"
or in Geners case I think you have to dial 3845#*950#

Actually the hidden menu on Sprint does not have the option to fix it. The work around is go into the general section and download my Sprint unlock Rom which is a att Rom. Then use the att dialer code and get into the hidden menu. Then go into recovery and run a back up. You will have knock on again.

I have flashed the LS995 Rom that you provided to return to stock, and yet the knock on is not working. I dont know why.
Yes, the ATT Rom that you provided is great, it can repair the Knock by access the dialer code.
After I fix the knock on, and I use TWRP backup to restore System, Data, Cache, EFS, Boot, but the knock on is gone again on Sprint Rom.
Do you have any guide to restore back the knock?Or I perform a wrong way?
Or perhaps there's a way just to get the touch firmware from AT&T or AT&T Hidden menu LoL and install it to Sprint LS995 Rom.
I would appreciate your help.

Pretty sure I just bricked my phone for the first time.
Installed SS, rebooted the phone which brought me right to SS, did a backup, clicked the boot options and clicked Slot-1 and waited for it to finish doing what it does, installed KN0XRAID ROM on there, rebooted, now it sits at the Main Samsung Galaxy NOTE 3 splash with the padlock and won't ever load. The factory recovery does nothing for me and I already tried a reset. I can get into download mode as well.
Does anybody have any ideas as to what happened? Possibly due to my 64gb SD? Did I miss a step?
Thanks.
Press and hold the power and volume up, that should get you in recovery, then restore.... Hope this helps

If you have mj4 I don't believe a downgrade is possible
Though you can downgrade from mi5 no problem.
The stock mi3 file is still up at the Samsung update website. I don't remember the link at the moment.

Yup I knew that was previously the case, and was pretty sure there was no workaround.
I hate when they do cap like that to the bootloader.
I'm going to take that as confirmation, as I knew back when mj4 first came out and I was maintain a Knox safe root thread. There were a few issues of people tripping Knox Even on a complete stock uprooted phone attempting to downgrade to run the Vega files.
Just hadn't looked into it since then wasn't sure someone hadn't worked around it.
Though why you would want to go back to mi3 is another question.

Yup, there are a few stock mj4 options (with or without root)

Just to go Security>Permission control > disable root permission
If you are using any third party root permission managers like SuperSu
Just uninstalling them would work.

Without a custom recovery working and prepackaged Roms to flash this seems very risky. Usually flashing another carriers files into your device results in problems if not a total brick. Do you have insurance on the phone? Can you wait until there's a recovery which is around the corner hopefully? This is just my humble opinion

I know this thread is a little old, but i had the same problem after rooting my T-Mobile Flex. I'm telling you, the guide to restore stock firmware DOES 100% work. The problem is that it's not clear on what state your phone must be in. I had to manually enter Download Mode in order to get the thing working. I have been reading that some people were able to fully restore their phone by using the LG Suite program, which can be found on LG's official support page. Make sure your computer actually "registers" your phone being connected to it by installing the appropriate drivers.
