[Theme] Carbonite CM7 7.0.2 Nightly #55 (04/25/2011)

Updated with Stable Release 7.0.2!
This is the new home of the Carbonite series theme for CyanogenMod 7 for the Nexus S. I do not have a Nexus S, I came from the Incredible forums, but I thought you guys might like this. I will update the nightlys as I can. I also have an apk for people who like to use the theme chooser app.. If there is anything you would like themed just comment in the thread or send me a PM and I will work on it.

I am also looking into adding a custom bootanimation in the future.
I do want to thank djdarkknight96 for giving me a boost into theming and helping me get this going!

You may find updates quicker by visiting Carbonite for your Android​

There are two ways to install my theme.
1. Carbonite.apk must be installed through astro file manager or like file manager, once installed it must be applied through the theme chooser app.
2. Pick a theme appropriate to the version of CM7 you are running (RC or Nightly) This must be flashed through recovery just like the Rom and must be flashed after flashing the Rom.
If you are having trouble you might need to wipe dalvik cache.

let me be first to thank ya! looks great will give it a shot and report back!

Very nice. I used the apk to apply via CM theme manager. I only found one problem and that is it doesn't apply the theme's default wallpaper by default. Dunno if it's actually a problem, but just mentioning what happened when I applied it.

This looks really promising. About to try it now.

After much consideration I have decided not to make flashable themes anymore. The apk for the T-mobile theme engine will be used from now on. It has been a concern by some people how this will affect the lock screen theme as well as other things. I will include a metamorph theme to apply to fix this too.
The advantage to using this method is that I can include things like inclusive skins for paid apps such as Fancy Widgets, Launcher Pro Plus.
The other advantage is that from now on if you update CM7 you do not have to wait for me to update the theme since you already have it, the only extra effort on your part is to re-apply the MM theme.
I hope this will be good foe everyone. At this time I have a few issues I am trying to work out. The main one being the dialer. The theme engine doesn't like to resize the images so it looks bad. My proposition is to add a poll for now to get your ideas. Please vote HERE so I can know what you would like best. For now try the apk and let me know what you think.

it works fine on my atrix 4g. there is no preview showing.

Same for me on my droid pro. Maybe this is hdpi and we have mdpi?

Can you take a screenshot? Not sure which part you're implying

Got it to work somewhat on my Droid Pro (MDPI)
But I had to go through the kitchen. There we can upload and select mdpi. Then install the modified zip.
It's not a fix because we can't use everything but atleast the notification bar and icons and such do work.
So thanks for this m8, looks nice.

How to Apply Cobalt Donate – CM9/CM10 Theme
Download and install Cobalt Donate – CM9/CM10 Theme
go to settings/themes and APPLY THE SYSTEM THEME AND REBOOT.
Now select Cobalt Donate – CM9/CM10 Theme & apply.
You may get an error: ‘Sorry, this theme is missing assets for your device’s screen size’.
Ignore that and apply it anyway and REBOOT.

I just wanted to ask a question
Why is that there is no much difference between looks of cm cm 4.0.4 or 4.1 or 4.2 i mean all look very same
They look different from cm 7.2 but same after that and 4.3 also looks same so why there are no changes by cm community

Base design is given by google.
For themes you have theme engine and with that you can let it look like you want it to.

You should ask this question to Google, we don't work for them so we don't know. Go to mycolorscreen.com and see how to customize your phone. These kind of questions are totally useless and nonsense. Also fills the forum with junks

I think google dont wanna waste time fo new design because they are all android 4.x . maybe in android 5.x we'll see a new design. I also thimk android 4.4 kitkat will have the same base design but we'll see.
