Great work on this.
Any way to get exFAT working on this? It seems to be working fine on the version from Dees_Troy (my card is formatted exFAT).
The tree Dees_Troy put up is here: https://github.com/TeamWin/android_device_htc_m8_whl (I'm sure you already know this)
I also caught him on IRC yesterday and he said he'd look at any errors in the source tomorrow, as I was having issues building with it as-is. With all the additional updates you had to make, it's no wonder!
I'm not sure can you give mine a try and tell me if your card mounts? I have nothing formatted to test it. As for the code I got it all cleaned up and working. I also fixed the segfaults

Looks like exFAT is working fine (though external SD isn't mounted by default). And great job on fixing the seg faults.
The one thing missing is offmode charging support, which I believe Dees_Troy did include on his tree. Besides that, it looks great.
Offmode charging just needs a bit of tweaking. Im working with the init files to get them fully working. I like to do things as clean as possible
Thanks for testing exfat btw

Thanks!

Hasoon just build the one in my github.... It's not stable enough for a actual release (exfat and such) either. So I'd prefer my work stays out of a toolkit for now. Until I fix kernel bugs please don't place it in the tool

Have you considered using the version directly from TeamWin?
Or just building it from source from the github listed in the OP?

I don't know what this means.
I'm still working on getting mine to build properly. There's a version in the OP here, one on the TeamWin site, and one in my thread. I'm not sure why you'd need another one.
When I get the source all worked out, I do plan on updating the version in my thread, but there do still appear to be some glitches with the recovery, so I wouldn't really recommend distributing it outside of the threads where they're posted.
I think that's enough OT for this thread. Sorry @simonsickle.
I was going to use the one from TeamWin, but if it's that bad, I won't add it in yet. I had people request for Sprint support, but I don't want to put in a glitched recovery.
Seems to working fine for me, and is pretty official being on twrp site, perhaps just infancy and would need update soon as new one was made official

It's not ready. At all. The twrp site includes my fix for segfaults But there's no exfat yet. Be patient, and let bugs get worked out. I do not want to have to ignore people who lack technical skill because they flashed a buggy recovery.... And trust me they will complain if they just click a button to install it.

2ndinit is active straight from flash. When phone boot type command ls -al /sys/kernel/debug from terminal you will get good output
This rom is only for a possible rom base and devs could possibly build more on it.

Hey guys. My XDA pal built me a MIUI test build. I'll be perfectly honest with you guys, I'm a little gun shy after some people bricked their phones while on AOSP. I kind of want someone else to be the test dummy
If you understand that this is only a test build that has never been tried before AND that the maker of this test build does not have this phone AND if something goes wrong with the flash I or the creator of the test build will not be held responsible.
Ok, that is the first disclaimer I have ever had to write over here. Without further delay...here is the link:
Hopefully one of you guys is more courageous than myself. Logcats would be appreciated. If this build is actually somewhat functional and we provide LOGCATS I'm sure he will continue working on it.
EDIT: I forgot to mention this point: He told me that before flashing this I should delete the NFC.apk. These are the steps:
1. download the test build and confirm MD5.
2. using WinRAR or similar program navigate to SYSTEM>APP>NFC.APK
3. right click and hit DELETE FILES
4. the MIUI Test build zip should now be w/o the NFC.apk
Update: Link has been temporarily pulled until kernel issue is resolved.
Was this built for the Sprint One specifically?
This looks sweet...make sure befpre everyone downloads to check to make sure its actually sprint. Build.prop boot.img updater script etc.
Lemme download n check
Sent from my HTCONE using xda premium
Yes, it was built for the Sprint HTC One. However, he does not have this phone. He based his work off of one of our CM builds. I would imagine that any bug we currently have on CM would be present in this test build.
EDIT: I should add this to the OP but it may be overkill...please make a nandroid before attempting to flash this.

Well he wouldn't have made it for me if he thought there was NO chance of it booting. He banged it out pretty fast though so I don't put too much faith into it. If I wasn't such a big wuss I would just flash it...but alas, I am a wuss so I'll let someone more savvy than myself give it a shot first.

You'll want to pull the link. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but it seems he had an issue with the kernel. I have yet to come up with the time to fix it, as I just had a long day with the kids. I'll try to look at it when I get home.

Hey guys!
A few of you may know me from the HTC EVO 4G LTE forums... and those people will also know that I am not on Sprint and therefore do not have this device. I have the Dev Edition of the One and am testing out a few things on my own for the international variant, and decided to make a variant for you guys
The rom is called "Rage Rom", it's a very popular rom on the Droid Razr and members of Team Rage are quickly making tons and tons of Rage Roms for many different devices. I believe we are over 20 supported devices (at least according to another team member) and are still going strong. For the HTC One, it has the standard Rage Tweaks except they are optimized for the HTC One, and I have added a few goodies of my own
A short list of features that will be included in the rom (there is a lot more than what I listed):
-Aroma installer
-fully deodexed
-based off Sprint 1.31 update
-slightly debloated
-zipalign on boot
-EQS via Power Toggles app
-Pie Controls via LMT app
-performance and battery optimizations
Things that need testing:
-the full wipe option in Aroma, I don't know if it works properly (if you are very cautious about your device I would not use it, just wipe manually) PWNED
-sometimes the extra mods in the aroma installer don't install and I have no idea why, other times they install just fine PWNED
-the performance of the rom and battery life
-if it boots or not PWNED
Post below or PM me for a download link and I'll send it to you ASAP. Thanks!
Download it here
If anyone has issues downloading, I'll upload to a mirror tomorrow. I'll put the changelog up tomorrow as well but really the only changes made were that the rom is a whole lot more stable now with a bunch of new performance tweaks
Thanks tjeeeeee for the fixed up build
I'll gladly test it

Hi,
I've looked for a thread on this, but all I can find is the TF700T. So I figured I'd start one. If it's a dupe, please just point me in the right direction and I'll ask the Moderator to delete this one. Thanks!
Anyway, I'm wondering if there's any way to get TWRP on an ASUS TF701T? I have CWM on it, but I need to be able to back up to my 64GB SD Card that I have installed in the slot and CWM won't see anything over 32GB, nor anything that's not formatted to FAT32. No offense to anyone who likes CWM, but in 2014, that's just weak.
Any help would be appreciated very much! I have been looking for days all over the Internet and in these forums and simply cannot find what I'm looking for.
There's no TWRP version for TF701 yet - unfortunately. Not even a touch version of CWM :crying:

Okay, I started to read the URL, then quit, because I can't stand reading pages, looking for the purpose of it.
No offense to you. I appreciate you pasting in the link! But really quickly, what is it for? Formatting larger than 32GB as FAT32, or something to that effect?
Also, aren't you the guy that makes those way cool kernels, like the one I was using for quite a while? It allowed OverClocking and stuff?
Curious: Do you have one for:
HTC One 64GB Developers Edition
BootLdr/GSM Unlocked (MetroPCS)
Factory ROM, KitKat v4.4.2, Rooted
CWM Recovery
Also.....
ASUS TF701T Tablet 10"
Factory ROM, JB v4.3, Rooted
CWM Recovery
I don't want to install a Custom ROM or anything. I like to start from scratch and then tweak the Factory ROM to the way I want my device to be, one modification/tweak at a time.
I know you had one when I was doing my Galaxy Tab and I have scoured XDA for your Kernels, because I only use stuff that I really trust and I really trust your work!
I'm not trying to be lazy here, even though it may seem it from not reading the whole URL. But that's not it. I'm just a "to the point" guy. I'm not saying I never ramble, but you will know what the purpose is rather quickly. <lol> And as I said, I did scour XDA and Google as best I could (for 3 days now) to find one by you that will work on my device, but I just could not find one.

Hi, i gave a try a few days ago to build TWRP for TF701T; i think that my twrp.fstab is correct and that my TWRP build flags are OK too BUT the file i built was not working at all => touchscreen not working at all, dock keyboard was not working neither but recovery was correctly booting into itself... that is all because without any input method working, i got stucked into it !

The TF701 was released what one or two years ago and still no touch recovery. This is a very good device and one of the more overlooked, IMO.
Makes me wonder why no one that has the knowhow can or will make the touch drivers needed for such a recovery
I very much agree with the post above this post, it says it best.

Will reply some time after flashed!
============= Edited ==============
Have been flashing this for sometime and tested on 3DMark
The result is 20330,not bad I guess(ElementalX - Stock 2.5Ghz - Ondemand)
But compared to the score I got previously-20165
I think performancewise is just minner
So difference should match what Qualcomm said"Fixes and enhancements"
Will make further report if I feel some noticable differences
Flashing this shortly. I am quite curious if/how this will affect everyday performance.
Seems a little faster to me.

Yes,I'm on VirtuousM8 1.2.0 and using this for about 3 days
So far so good but haven't found any noticable difference yet
Has anyone got a way of confirming that these are actually being used? If you look at the files, they are not overwriting existing files... I wonder if the system even sees the drivers.
Would explain why noone says they have much change.

Idk, but op has some pretty mad skills so I'd bet it works.

If this is the case and both files are there it's a no go. Or if the old files are not being over written then it's a no go. Honestly if these type of files are not specifically for a device they can cause problems. I had a nexus 5 and we were flashing dalvik binaries from other phones and it would boost bench mark scores but in reality there wasn't a difference.

Updated with OpenCL support and other things. Haven't flashed it yet, but it should still work.

Has anyone tried to replace the files with a root browser? That would take care of the original files not being overwritten.
After flashing, in terminal emulator, su then type strings /system/vendor/lib/egl/libEGL_adreno.so | grep Branch
If you see, Local Branch:
Remote Branch: quic/kk_3.5_1
Reconstruct Branch: AU_LINUX_ANDROID_KK_3.5.04.04.02.003.325 + e03bee9 + LOCAL_PATCH[ES]
you're good.
If you see other stuff, you're not.
