Currently, ClockworkMod Recovery is installed on my Samsung Galaxy S (i9000), but whenever I attempt to copy a CyanogenMod.zip file, the transfer somewhat completes before the drive disappears, giving the error message that the HDD is no longer located in 'My Computer.'
Where does the HDD go?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
No-one has any ideas at all?

Hello, I hope someone can help me with this issue.
I currently have a rooted froyo running stock rogers rom. Recently, I've been trying to copy movies, mp3s, etc to my sdcard when connected to my computer and I get this error: 0x80070057. I also have RyanZA lag fix installed.
Is the internal sdcard corrupted or bad usb cable? I've already formatted it, etc.
I have also performed a fsck_msdos and it seemed to have detected some errors and fixed the partition, but I still get this error.
Any help is much appreciated, thanks.
EDIT: I also noticed that right clicking on the drive and clicking on format shows only a maximum partition size of 2.1gigs, but right clicking and going to properties shows it's a 13gig partition.
I will do the following steps:
1. try to use another computer;
2. try different usb cable;
3. reflash the rom;
Guys
I have a wierd problem with the usb connections in Froyo 2.2 version. Each time I try to connect my galaxy to computer, I am seeing 2 different drives on my computer but they are inaccessible. So I went to the USB connection from the homescreen roll out and then clicked "connect to usb" button. Normally, after clicking that button, I should get a pop up window to ask if I a want to mount the sdcard or not. Unfortunately, I am not getting that dialogbox and I am not able to mount the sdcards at all. Instead, I am having only the option to turn off usb. By doing this, my camera starting working perfectly. But if I restart my mobile for any reason, then both the internal and external card memories and camera are getting inaccessible.
Although I have inserted a 16gb of external memory card, because of these issues I am not able to access that as well. The mount SD card menu and is not working at all. Any help to resolve the above isssu is highly appreciated.
I am currently on Factory rom with following specifications.
Baseband Version I9000DXJPB,
Firware Version - 2.2;
Kernel version - 2.6.32.9 root-at-SE-S604 #1;
Build Number : FROYO.DXJPE
Although this is a basic problem that most of the galaxy owners must be experiencing it I couldnt find the right anwer anywhere on the net.
So Droidbraines out there - please help me.

Hi all,
I recently got a 16 gb wi-fi Galaxy Tab 10.1, still unrooted. Made a spreadsheet in quickoffice (.xlsx) and attempted to transfer to my computer via flash drive. Pulled the drive out after transfer w/o ejecting it and corrupted the file (listed as 0 kb). The file is no longer listed on the tab.
Is there a chance a data recovery option could retrieve the original spreadsheet?
If so, how? I'm on a Mac and have had success using Data Recovery II, but it never recognizes the tab as a drive that can be scanned / recovered
I'm definitely a noob when it comes to working with tablets, apologies if this seems obvious or has already been answered.

I hope you guys here from XDA can help me solving a question I have about some errors I get when trying to backup the gameloft game's data on my PC and either nandroid backups created on the internal SD of my Galaxy Tab (something that usually happened with my old Galaxy S too).
I try both ways, with the Tab connected to Windows 7 in Mass Storage or Kies mode, but sometimes I get some weird errors (the file transfer stops and the USB connection hangs out, and sometimes, when I insist in trying to copy the file that gave me the error, the file ends up corrupting itself in the internal memory), but after turning the tab off and then on again, I can get the files normally and get no errors.
Does the internal SD memory of Galaxy series get corrupted that easily, the USB connection is poor or what?
The weird part is that this only happens copying files from the internal SD to PC. In the reverse way, I get no errors, so I don't believe it's a dock conector/USB cable problem, since it's a original and new USB cable that don't show any kind of problem when flashing roms, for example. I belive that if it was some kind of dock/usb cable problem I wouldn't be able to flash roms or transfer large files from PC to Tab without the same kind of errors showing up, right?
Did someone here experience the same errors I mentioned?
Thanks!
Nobody?
Have u updated ur Kies software becoz it installs latest USB drivers for ur Tab.
Yes, Kies is updated, but I dont think it matters when using usb mass storage mode...
Rooted tab? Read-write mode enabled?
Yes, rooted, and no read-write enabled for /system.
Hi All,
My device is Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N700 using Jelly Bean 4.1.2. (not rooted). Before I was using ICS.
My problem is that my USB storage (internal memory) is not recognized (0.00B/0.00B). My system storage and SD card is fine though. If I plug my phone to my PC it also can only recognizes the external SD Card. I tried to mount SD Card from settings > storage > USB Storage > mount SD card, but it just won't do anything.
I've googled and looked within forums and read something about the different path address: ICS (/sdcard) and JB (/sdcard0). Most of the people that encountered the similar problems were rooted. And I'm such a beginner couldn't understand the explanations. I've been trying to solve this problem for nearly a week. I couldn't use my camera, download images etc.
Can anyone help and try to explain the solutions for a noob like me? I really couldn't understand most of the talks about this similar topic.
Thanks
I had the same problem as you. I read somewhere that if you re-install ICS and then JB the problem is fixed. I never got around to try this because in the meantime and when trying to debug / fix it I ended up "bricking" my phone...
If you want to give it a try, you need the ADB drivers in your PC, ODIN and the appropriate ROMs that you can get from Sam mobile.
