Stock Kernel for HK M8 - Sprint HTC One (M8)

Hello, everyone. I'm new around these forums, but I have been following for quite some time. I have rooted my HK M8, and I flashed the CHECKM* kernel (both RLS3 & 4). I have been experiencing sporadic reboots, and I wanted to know if someone could pull the stock kernel from the latest OTA for me. I'm running official software, version 1.54.654.13. It seems as there are no S-Off exploits for the HK model as yet, so I'm being very wary of what I do.
Thanks.

Please disregard. I hadn't paid enough attention to OMJ's thread to notice that the stock roms were posted there.

you got a link to that ?

[Q] Which RUU to install for upgrading my HKG Froyo to Gingerbread?

Hi, I've read a lot of threads in the last hours and searched extensively but couldn't find the answer to my specific question:
How do I know which one of the RUUs out of this thread to install? I'm not looking for any fancy ROMs but just the (possibly stock) upgrade to 2.3.
I have an Incredible S, S-OFF via AlpharevX with Clockworkmod Recovery on it. The OS is still the stock Android 2.2.1, 20.23.30.0802U_38.02.1.11_M, 1.37.708.2
I bought the device in Hong Kong and have been waiting for the OTA to Gingerbread for months now (regularly checking manually) without any luck.
Thanks for your help and let me know if you need more info or if I missed anything.

For clean stock ROM, you can flash RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_Virgin_Mobile_AU_2.12.981.2 _R_Radio_20.2803.30.085AU_3805.04.03.12_M_release_ 185029_signed. But actually Android Revoluation HD is a very good tweaked custom ROM based on stock ROM so I don't know why you should not try it.
Just a reminder, to flash the RUU, you need to extract the rom.zip from the exe and flash it with a gold card. There should be plenty of instructions on how to do it in the development forum.
Yes, I saw several tutorials for that.
But that also means that there is no RUU/update.zip out there for my exact version of Froyo? Because otherwise I wouldn't need the Gold Card, right?
Where and how could I find such a version?

I too can't find any Hong Kong RUU from xda or xda.cn. I guess these are our only options.

I almost can't believe that since both HTC and buying stuff in HKG is pretty popular. But I guess that's where we're stuck for now unless one of us starts reading Chinese...

[Q] HTC One Rogers 4.3 ROM

Hey all!
I'm a new poster to the forums, but I've been lurking since 2010 with my Xperia X10 (rooted) as my first phone, moving onto the Acer Liquid MT (rooted, was a pain to do so however) and then to the HTC One.
I recently rooted my One. The issue I have at this moment however, is that now that the OTA for 4.3 including Sense 5 is available, I cannot install it, due to the rooted and unlocked BL on the phone. I do know how to relock the BL using fastboot, but I cannot find the appropriate RUU for the Rogers 4.1 ROM.
There are a few things I'm going to be asking for here, just out of curiousity.
First, does anyone have the Rogers RUU for the HTC One? I went onto the dev site, and unfortunately, there is no RUU file found
However, I did find the CRCs for both Rogers versions.
Secondly, lets say I just flash an International ROM onto my Canadian device, will I still be able to use the carrier I am with (Rogers).
Thirdly, if anyone knows of a Google Play Edition ROM for the One that has functional Zoe features, that'd probably solve all of my current minute post-rooting woes.
Much thanks!

This should be posted in Q&A since this is a question. Not the general section..

[Q] Update to 4.4.2 or not? Root? too much confusion here!

I just got my 4.2.2 GT-i9295.
Here's too much confusing information, can someone please answer:
Root the device now? with what? (a link please)
OR let it install the 4.4.2 OTA update first? (if the ~200MB one is 4.4.2??)
or can I just flash a pre-rooted 4.4.2?
I looked through various threads over the last 2 hours, I'm confused now... one says 4.4.2 will lock the bootloader and KNOX will screw things up, but another says that's only for AT&T versions, I have INTL... and another says everything is not a problem, KingoApp can do it. And another says I have to downgrade to 4.3 again ?!?
4.4.2 isnt out for the i9295 yet. Im in the same boat and just waiting for something definitive which will probably be OTA.

can i get the i9295 4.4.2 rooted version yet?
also in the same boat,
reading all these different threads about 4.4.2 and rooting but getting confused, Seems a lot of the instructions are for the i537.
I'm currently on 4.2.2 with I9295 unlocked and rooted. build number is jdq39.i9295vjuamg3. would like to upgrade it to 4.4.2 but absolutely want a rooted phone. looking for a straight forward guide to follow. FYI i have ti backup pro and busybox installed. can anyone point me to the correct thread.
normally i stick with the stock versions but if there is a very good and widely recognized non stock 4.4.2 version with everything working and maybe some of the bloat taken out i'd be happy to give that a try. again if anyone can post a link to the thread with some relatively straight forward instructions that would be great.
or do i need to wait a bit longer for the rooted version of 4.4.2 for the i9295?
thanks folks

Which MM Rom Can I flash?? Asking from a N920W8 user.

Hi XDA community,
I have a really stupid question to ask here: which marshmallow rom can I flash to my Canadian variant Note 5 (Rogers)?
I have learned that all the Canadian Carriers offer the same variant Note 5 - N920W8 (could someone help confime this ???) and now I am really confused about MM update since not many roms specify our variant.
I really want to get updated to MM since it offers Doze and app permission control which will improve this phone's poor battery life.....
Also, where can I download the official MM rom??
Thanks in advance!!!
My guess is we're waiting. I know many have said ROMs are safe for T-Mobile models (N920T) as they are similar, but seems we are getting Marshmallow before them do it's a matter of convincing more developers to add the W8 to the list. :/
You need TWRP for your device.
You can flash almost any international ROM, visit one of my ROM threads which have a voice fix which you flash after flashing the ROM.
That voice fix can be used on any international ROM.
Here is the direct link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995315328
Flash the a ROM of your choice then flash this fix. Reboot.
Enjoy.

Advice on installing Custom Rom on SM-G900A & SM-G900V

Hi all,
Im new to this website but not new to installing customs ROM's on phones. Its been a while but i did it years ago on my S3. Also, I know there are probably threads out there already for this so if this is just a redundant question please forward me to the right place b/c i haven't been able to find a clear answer on my own.
So here is my situation. I have a SM-G900A that I requested and unlock code from AT&T for and is now "unlocked" and I am running android 6.0.1. My girlfriend has a SM-G900V that is supposedly been unlocked by verizon and i moved over to my AT&T account and its working fine (with the exception of lack of LTE data). To my understanding it is not possible to flash a custom ROM on either of these if they are on anything post android 5.0 release. Is this true? I have not been able to find any custom ROM build that say they are made for these models and TWRP doesnt have a version specific to these either.
Has anyone successfully put customer ROM's/bootloaders on either of these 2 devices? I have really only used Cyanogenmod in the past and was very happy with it. But all i have seen is that people say that these 2 models are SOL if they have android v.6 on them.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Check the link below, the first 4 posts or so have the information on downgrading and rooting. I don't know about the Verizon version, the AT&T version bootloader is completely locked down so we can not flash a custom recovery like twrp. Flashfire works like a charm though. The custom roms are limited and pretty much lollipop variants. There is currently no root or custom Rom for marshmallow.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3516196
flashfire gives the error "Please update SuperSU to v.2.40 or newer" which I already have. I tried the older ones 1st and it gives the same error. I am not sure what to think about it except I got it to work before with the exact same files from what I recall. is there another proceedure perhaps?
