I replaced my broken glass but cut the digitzer cable, as in the picture. It works with the s pen, but touch only works in one spot. Is there any way to fix that, without replacing the whole thing? Thanks so much for any help.
Unless you are highly skilled with trace repair or removing the digitizer only, no. You will have to replace the whole assembly.

Thank u very much. I got one more if you don't mind? If I buy another s pen, can I multiple touch the screen with 2 pens, or was that only designed with one touch in mind?
Honestly, I have no idea... Never thought to try it.

Thanks. I guess I will just stick with using the pen, I don't want to pay 200 for multitouch.
I tried it with a s - pen from a Note 8.0, and multi touch didn't work.
I tried last night with a display S-pen at BB. No go.

You know it could be, we have gorilla glass on our phones.
Sent from my GT-I8190 using xda premium
No, we actually don't have Gorilla Glass...
Here's a list of devices that include it: http://www.corninggorillaglass.com/products-with-gorilla/full-products-list.
Even so, Cornig mentions that not all devices where it is present are mentioned, but I'd think if it were then we would have seen it mentioned in the ads.
Someone said that it has.
I'll check with Samsung

I don't think the list is complete, though...
Yes, I already said that... I just think that if Gorilla Glass was present, then Samsung would have made a fuss about it in the documentation.

Yes it does. I've tried to scratch it using a box cutter, keys, coins, and not a single scratch. Sand however is a whole different issue, it'll scratch it in a heartbeat.
I thought also it could have Gorilla Glass, I keep my phone in my pocket with coins and got no scratches at all so I think you are right.

Weird thing that Samsung is not mentioning it in the ads.
Maybe Gorilla Glass is now standard in most phones

I think Samsung use Gorilla Glass on most screen's of new phones now.

Use sandpaper and this so called Gorilla Glass will take a crap.
Yep so I've heard, but still it has a toughened screen.

I'm sure one of my four nexus 4's will break how hard is it to replace/take apart ( similar to iPhone replacement. And how much did the parts cost.

Someone can take it and blacklist the phone so it won't work on the network
IMEI removed, you need to be more cautious sometimes
Do you have access to the sim slot? If so, could you take a close up picture and post it. The sim ejection mechanism is what is causing the rattling noise in a lo of phones. I want to find a way to fix that.
PS. How did you get your hand on a replacement screen?

"some men just want to watch the world burn"
I just noted this after taking the tpu case out of the phone. I don't know how this happened but I guess it was bent when it was in my pocket.
My screen didn't shatter but its also bent. Any suggestion to keep it like this and not to get worse?
I was thinking in buying an UAG Case or similar to protect it from bending more. A clip protector outside my pocket is not what Im looking for, I'm 16.

hmm with price $137 is it worth waiting? Samsung repair center charge around $180 for screen replacement and you get warranty on their work.
