Motorola Milestone on iceandfire ROM gets no signal from ROGERS

Hello everyone. I recently got a used Motorola Milestone. I rooted it and was able to flash a custom ROM (specifically iceandfire-v1.8-16.03.11-milestone.zip) . Its a neat rom!!
My next step was to unlock it. I think it was locked to either Telus or WIND Mobile, but i wasnt 100% sure which. I purchased the unlock code online, and selected Telus as its locked carrier. I then got the unlock code, popped my ROGERS sim in ,typed in the unlock code, and success!!
However.... the phone does recognize the ROGERS carrier (on the main screen when u have to swipe to unlock the scrren),but does not get any signal from it. I did a carrier search in the settings ,and WIND was the only carrier it found.
So... 2 questions ,i guess: 1) is it bad that i chose Telus as the locked carrier when purchasing my unlock code? As the phone seems to like WIND Mobile (which causes me to believe it was locked to WIND after all)
And 2) or is it just that the ROM i have installed didnt come with the right radio code? Or no radio code adjustment at all?? Im not sure if radio is always a separate flash or not.

Shoot - i just learned in another forum that apparently WIND's band for 3g is 1700/2100mhz , where Rogers is 850/1900mhz.
So that may be my answer.... sorry about that.
Going to switch the milestone setting to 2g to see if that works.

mine 5 minutes...coz the slow internet speed

Solved...
This was solved by flashing the below SBF file (using RSDLite on Windows)
A853_Telus_Upgrade__SHOLS_U2_05.26.1__USASHLSMR2TLSB1B2B506E.0R_1FF.sbf
After installing this, I tested the phone with Bell and Rogers SIM cards... nice clear signal and internet on both!!!!

Hi guys i was wondering if the galaxy s 3g is able to be changed to the 4G? as i have 2 of these one on t-mobile UK and aother on orange UK and iam trying to get the wifi caling app onto both phones, both phones are not locked to the networks.
see i believe that the fone has to be 4G for this app ( please advise of this is incorrect )
also if this is possible to do could someone point me to a link that shows an idiots guide on howto install the wifi apk please.

Yes it does work or should work as it is already confirmed by HTCDEV.com in a response to an user query through their twitter account. Here is the proof.

Seriously though, like the other user asked... Do you have LTE in your area? If so, can you give comparisons of the device you had previously and the One now. Like what levels of RSRP are you seeing in places you frequent versus your previous device.

I am in the Twin Cities, MN, so I have LTE in various places. I won't be able to compare to my EVO because it's not active on my line, but I'll post speeds later tonight when I go through an LTE zone (thank you Micro Center for being perfectly placed...).
Testing now. I would like to go S-Off before I test, but I guess that can wait.

Can you find someone with a GS3 or other Sprint LTE device and show the network status screen of each?

I will see. I tend not to associate with people with SG3s... I have an Evo, so does my bro. When we get the chance I'll compare. By then they should be out though... I'll see if I can get out tomorrow.

Xperia Z(c6603) : LTE on AT&T by ZL(c6506) baseband method.

I have been following the "LTE in Canada" thread, but I haven't seen any confirmation of this working on AT&T. Is there anyone out there that has this working pn their AT&T service? Screen shots of speed tests, please!
If it is not possible to do this for AT&T like it is for Rogers and Fido, can someone please explain why not?

Need to be sure it works before I buy the phone.

I tried, so far I cannot make LTE work with either TMOBILE or ATT...
Looks like the baseband from zl cannot work on both.

I also tried baseband from C6506. It didn't work on both t-mo and at&t even though it says support LTE band 1, 2, 4, 5 and 17.

[Q] Changing model (m7wls to m7)

Hello ,
I`ve got Sprint HTC One (m7wls) , is there any way to change m7wls to m7 , m7u or whatever else ? I`ve tried to install Google Edition android , but it checks device`s model first and then installs itself but does not work on this model,
so , is there any way for installing Google Edition android or changing model ?

Isn't that what super cid is for?
While that would change certain aspects of the device it will not magically get u to connect to a band that the sprint variant doesn't support

Is the snapdragon 800 going to allow us to have CDMA world phones? I read it somewhere.
It would be cool if we could have identical hardware for all carriers, including CDMA.

This is a world phone. Just that they only put the gsm antennas for talk and 3g since that's really all u need when traveling for abit. If ur referring to using cdma else where then that's useless since the US is really the only place that uses cdma
