Has anyone installed xposed with any of the popular(G2, gravity box, exthemer) since they upgraded to kitkat?
All this worked fine on 4.2, but not sure how it works on T-Mobile 4.4
I know it should work fine, just wondering if anyone has done these tweaks yet?
thanks!
Gravity box works mostly, g2 xposed works except for the nav bar features, g2 tweakbox works for a bit then bricks your phone completely. Im using a tmobile lg g flex with kitkat.

I can confirm that xposed works on kit Kat AT&T d950. I use gravity box kit Kat version and, themer beta, and gravity has an option to color and shrink the nav bar

You can try editing the build.prop. Not too sure if this will work for ART. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2659493
thanks, but without custom recovery, I'd rather not risk messing with the build.prop at this point.

Someone asked that in the recovery apk thread and playfulgod made a joke that he'd "given up" on the device, but I think he was more referring to someone asking about an eta for what's obviously a very difficult task
I am slightly surprised there isn't a custom 4.2 Rom yet though. I know kit Kat is preferable and why build for an outdated os etc but I honestly thought we'd see one or two pop up by now.

I understand asking about the eta could get annoying. I just want to know if it's still in progress.
If development stops then I'm going to try and get a oneplus one. Cyanogenmod right out of the box for $300. Only problem is you need an invitation to buy one. The Flex is awesome, but without custom roms it's appeal fades.

I was behind on tech news and had not heard of this amazing device with stellar specifications. The whole invite thing seems really....ummm...annoying and difficult. I am an avid phone enthusiast I would buy one in a heartbeat but in this rare case of consumerism...I most likely will not be allowed to. Yeah, I kinda thought there would be a rom or 2 by now as well, but this phone is a royal PITA to develop for; look at how many talented folks have bricked this device, some more than once.
If its not fun to work on, then there wont be alot of development for this phone...
Time will tell; my first JUMP is in August, so I will be patient until then..
I was a flash whore with other phones and last one being the the G2. It's nice to just enjoy a phone by taking a break from screwing up my phone with Roms/hacks. At times I miss it but will probably get a G3. I'm thinking it will be just as hard to get Roms as the Flex. I'm tired of rehashed Samsung phones and I passed on the M8. So it is what it is. LoL

The G3 will be infinitely more popular than the Flex. I really like the 6in screen, but I might have to move on soon. If the G3 gets a 64 bit chipset(unlikely) then I will buy one definitely otherwise the oneplus one is the best deal for android.

DFuse is done building roms on the G Flex? We should petition LG to unlock the bootloader. I remember we rallied against HTC when tbey started locking tbeir phones down. HTC cbanged tbe policy as direct result of pressure from the community. Well they compromised because all devices came locked, but HTC would unlock individual phones per request. Meaning no warranty.

I for one had a love/hate relationship with my Thrill. Loved it at first....hated waiting for the updates....but over all the phone has been GREAT! I rooted, but kept the stock ROM. Just froze some bloatware. Recently updated to ICS...LOVE IT! I would like to root again to get Tethering and to re-freeze apps, but so the solutions I am finding are too convoluted for me. I want something as simple as it was to root with GB using Megatron Exploit.
My contract is up in a month. I am definitely considering the Optimus G. Not a fan of the S3 form factor. Feels like a toy and don't like the rounded edges.
I love my Thrill but LG and ATT seriously upset me when it comes to updating. And the tools necessary to to modify this phone are ridiculous. Not so bad now that I have tinkered with things, but it look a long time to figure it all out. This phone would be junk if it were not for the few brilliant developers we have that took the time to work around LG's crap. I will probably never buy an LG phone again. I want something with over the air updates and I want to purchase it from a company that actually concentrates on the phones that are already out. Don't even get me started on things like cases and invisishields which you can't even find anymore at places like Best Buy, etc.

I will never ever get another lg phone. The device itself is not bad, the issue is the service from lg themselves. Its nonexistent worst support ever. Im def going to another company when my 2 years is up.
I don't think I would probably go with a samsung s3 or s4 maybe a nexus. I would like to have an sd card though so the nexus probably wont happen. I dont even know what phones lg have out so I do like this phone though plus for a 100 buck and no data plan can't really beat it.
I've never seen such a laggy device. It's bizarre.

They really had no say so in what happened with ICS.
Part of it was AT&T's wrong doing by cutting the contract with LG for a while. They had to renew it before any decision to release another firmware/software was developed.

Hey. I remember you in the 2 forums. Yeah it's dead over here but there's a thread in general that kinda let's us flash roms. Someone just verified it working and starting to dig deeper into it to maybe get us some roms made up. Check the thread out.

It's funny that you mention it, just today we discovered that it is possible to flash custom ROMs. If you're on MJ5 and something goes wrong, you won't be able to un-brick your device. However if you're running an earlier firmware you can use Odin to re-flash stock. Can't wait to wipe this TouchJizz off the face of the earth, just waiting for that MJ5 Odin. :good:
Wish!
Good to see ya around here...Ya, I'm patiently waiting for this thing to take off. This is just upsetting that we have to deal with this nonsense with the locked bootloaders

Once your on Mj5 as of right now the most you can do is Root and theme. im Hoping we can get a Odin Package for MJ5 soon so we dont have to worry about bricks and we can start testing more things with out worrying about not being able to recover.
true..root ,theme and debloat ....You would think.after debloating this rom. And using sd read/write values that would increase a decent amount for such a early development.

Hello all.
Im new to the note 3... but not to xda. I dont post much at all. However I do have a rooted skyrocket and give all credit to Vincom. I still read through his threads regularly. I got the s2 when it was the flagship and now ive upped the grade to the next one. I think its wrong of the manufacturer and carrier to charge us a boatload for this device and chain it to the dock so to speak. It seems there is some experience in this thread so I will be checking in often. I also had the mj5 update sneek in before I knew what happened and it does seem that we are all leary of the dread 600$ brick. Thanks to all who dare. You are my hero (s).

Yea the photon turned into a joke sadly. But the good thing about the Optimus G and G2.. They may be behind on updates but both are updated by great devs with the latest version as quick as any other device with all features working nearly 100%. The G2 already has 4.4 internationally and it also helps that the N5 is pretty much the same hardware kind of like the atrix and photon.

Well, before I could do any sort of collaboration, I have to get the source I've got building upped. It's really screwey how they have this thing set up....took 3 different tries to get the right files to actually repo sync. Their instructions seem quite incomplete in some areas, and are totally GONE in others (like the links to getting VoiceCall and HiFi audio working...links are page not found).
Once I get it synced remotely, I'll be more than happy to have some others pitch in. I have a feeling it's going to take a few of us to do it any way.
But for now...if anyone knows how to write UCM mixer files for alsa, I'd love to have some pointers. Their explanation is nearly NIL...LOL

Hell half of the ones ive spoken to over the years didnt know what a bootloader was or when you refer to the OS by name ,i.e. icecream sandwhich, jellybean, they dont know which version it is 4.1, 4.2, 3.4, etc. I believe I read some where that T-Mobile has officially said that the flex will update to 4.4 but it didnt specify when. But for customer service to tell the guy above that it will NOT update, thats the recorded call that will make it into the training course of things not to say or do.

Same goes for retail. Most of the people selling phone don't know 1/2 the stuff that phones have or do. I learn more from the the video reviews from the likes of phonedog, techno buffalo, pocket now, etc. Xda is the best source to find out when the update will hit as someone will post up the news.
thats cool so t mobile said any day now. well i hope its soon kitkat was awesome on the nexus 5 and it was pretty good on the s4. I am hoping for the same results for the G Flex. but can anyone confirm about the whole battery drain. That would ultimately be a deal break if it affect battery life. defeats the point of a 3500 mAh battery.

The link I posted back a few posts was a Flex user from somewhere not in the US. He noticed a slight drop in battery life with KitKat. It does kind of suck but battery life will still be good just not as great. I'm thinking in a day or so AT&T Flex users will say the same as that guy.

I've said other wise multiple times now. The notes on AT&T kit Kat said it had battery improvements and i for one definitely notice them, when using the phone for instance i went 52min before dropping down to 98%? 2% with a screen on time of near an hour is good even for the powerhouse battery the flex has.

My friend said he noticed a drop in battery life with his S4 after KiKat and same goes for the G2. I guess will find out soon enough with the AT&T Flex. Something seems to be draining my T-Mobile Flex a little more lately. I think I read Lookout drains the battery some even when you disable it. What is a good battery app to see what's draining?

Who needs Facebook or social media sites when development takes off at a staggering rate as it is right now on XDA and for the LG G Flex.
Please everyone taking advantage of the new and great developments on here just take a few moments to stop in at all the topics you've used and have benefited you for what ever reason or another and click the thanks button on those peoples threads for taking time out of their lives to help you or to develop mods,ROMs, and apks that you're using.

Here on Rogers. Had the phone two days now, and really liking it.
Coming from a note 2, so, I'm not new to the game. Waiting patiently for the awesome mods.

I traded in my friends to on T-Mobile's "trade anything event(even your friends)" all I got for them was some lousy earbudz but hey you take what you can get oh and that was considered an "upgrade"

Yeah, but after using the flex for a while going back to the note 2 makes the screen seem wider in the middle then the top and bottom.
The flex feels like 36,24,36.
The note2 now feels like 36,45,36.

I kinda miss my note 2. Right before i left Verizon and my sammy the development was getting super sick! The devs over there were just friggin good! I haven't gotten to know some of the guys over here yet. I really hope this phone gets popular and development takes off. This phone is badass. Hopefully some sweet roms are on the way!

Note 2 on Verizon? With development?! More like locked bootloaders and prison, at least nowadays... Note 2 has treated me good but is now out of style.. I wanna jumpship to the G2 or G3, they just seem more..user-friendly. Not so workplace lookin'.

I found a replacement screen/digitizer on eBay that looks like it had no LG branding on the front bottom. It's 114 some odd bucks. Mines not broken, but it would be nice to know if is genuine AND makes the front super sexy.

When 4.3 hit a lot of people took the update which locked the phone down. Before that bootloader was wide open and there were a ton of just badass roms and kernels to play with. New roms dropped almost daily for a while there. At this point I would just like to flash anything! Its been months. I've got the shakes.

Yeah, luckily I'm the type who doesn't make decisions without reason, so I didn't take the update until news about it came out. Unfortunately since I have Verizon the bootloader is still locked for me, the Casual exploit falsely unlocked the bootloader, meaning it said "successful" and when I updated recovery it still brought me the "Unauthorized Software...take to nearest Verizon store" error, 3 separate times after restoring to stock, so I gave up. Idk what's up with my damb phone.
Enough of my problems, as far as yours goes, you can fix it with a jtag (Riffbox, $150), although you'd have to make an investment on that or send it to an expert (I've seen $30 offers). Other than that, with specifically the Note2 you can trip a resistor with a piece of solder to tell cpu to load bootloader from SD card, you can find that around the forums on here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49611038). Those are the only two methods.

My snooping girlfriend checks the browsing history from time to time. She claims that she is only looking because she can't remember a site she visited earlier. Sometimes I delete all XDA history and Tube 8. I have been more embarrassed by the amount of times I have visited XDA than porn. At least she understands why I watch porn on occasion. I never use facebook
