Someone please upload the kitkat tot file for att d950 - LG G Flex

SOMEONE PLEASE UPLOAD THE KITKAT TOT FILE FOR ATT D950
SO WE CAN GET SOME KK ROMS FOR THE ATT MODEL
TO GET THE TOT FILE:
MAKE SURE YOUR ON 100% JELLY BEAN 4.2.2
THEN USE THE LG SUPPORT TOOL TO UPGRADE BUT DON'T TAKE THE UPDATE AND LET IT DOWNLOAD
WHEN THE DOWNLOAD IS FINISHED PULL THE TOT FILE
IT SHOULD BE IN YOUR C DRIVE
It will be in programdata folder it is hidden show u have to show it and the in lgmobliexa or something like that there is another hidden folder called phone and that is where the goods are.

Folks, let's stop with the off topic.
Thread is cleaned of posts not relevant to the OP.
If nobody is willing to pull the OTA, then that's fine. Just kindly move along. Not like it's Rocket Science you know. Take the OTA, don't install it when prompted. Copy the OTA file. Pretty simple I should think.
So if you pulled it, upload and post it.
If not, don't pollute the thread with off topic comments.
Thanks and cheers.

i posted the solution to that problem in the lg g2 forums.
all you do is go to your carrier and ask them to switch the sim card.
only real down side to that is a factory reset has to be done. HAS TO BE DONE.
but after the new sim and reset your phone will be fully functional.
i assume that if you went back to stock using the firmware flashtool you didnt pop your sim card out?
always take out the sim before doing a factory flash

yeah future reference remove the sim. but you still might want to change your sim cause the problem will still probably persist for future updates.

When you say they pushed you the updates, do you mean they did it over the phone, or did you have to take your device in to the store?

Captivate JH7 unroot question

Hey guys,
I'm new to android.. good riddance iPhone. I am a technically saavy I/T Guy and have already unrooted my captivate and figured out GPS and whatnot. However, I have scoured Google and can't find the answer to a simple question. "Do I need to unroot prior to the OTA JH7 update?"
Thanks for your help,
Trums

i dont think you'll need to unroot the phone but I *think* you'll lose your root once you update....please correct me if I'm wrong, though.

This is correct. All the apps will be there except superuser and the root will be gone.
I did this myself and after the update went ahead and wiped the phone (factory reset) anyway. I wanted to make sure I didn't have anything lingering..
thanks

+1, please upload if available. I dont know why att just doesnt let us download it from the website.
sorry gents.. I don't have the file yet.. will upload when I get it.
You can always re-root afterwards...
Does the original root method work with jh7? I'm not really interested in the super rooter type all-in-ones.

That's where I got mine.. www.samfirmware.com
you will have to sign up for an account but its worth it.
You will have to flash using ODIN. Make sure you get the PIT file located at the bottom of the firmware page too..
Plus once you have the account, you can always flash newer firmwares when they come out...
I know about the leaked JH7. I am running it now. I am only interested in the official JH7 update file, just to compare the two versions.

I am not sure what happened but I just downloaded the update using the check for updates on the phone, it started to install, rebooted the phone then gave me this message:
"The update was not completed.
No update was applied to your phone"
my phone is rooted, lag fix, side load and I did not try to undo any of that stuff.

The same thing happened to me, but when I go my phone settings I show the following:
Baseband version:
1897UCJH7
So do we have to flash back to stock to get this upgrade?
I wasn't too hopeful that our rooted, lagfix-ed phones would play nice with the OTA anyway.

Failed to update firmware

My phone keeps failing to update. I keep getting "Failed to update firmware due to network or server problem.Try software update via settings > Software Update > Update or try using PC Kies later". I do not really believe this. Install a JB stock release for your region with PC Odin. Or install PhilZ kernel and then try one of the available Custom Roms.
If I believe you: so you read all solutions before and I d not need to give you the links to the sticky tutorials related to this.
Good luck.

OK, I am sorry, I guess I didn't see all the solutions yet. Yes, I need links. I don't know how to install JB stock release. I don't know what PC Odin means. I basically read that I must have rooted my device and now I can't install updates and that if I wipe the device it will be able to install firmware update. I am puzzled why factory reset doesn't fix the problem but please point me to the links where I can learn how to install JB stock release and whatever PC Odin thing I need. Thank you
Sorry, but no links. You are a member since Nov 2011. You should know about the simple way of searching for sticky threads in a forum already. If you are too lazy to do this, then you should stop thinking about manual updates and custom roms, kernels etc.
But you could continue asking for spoon-feeding. There might be other members here that aren't tired of this way of being a part of XDA and they will post the links for you.

I am sorry I don't understand what a custom rom is and I don't want any. I don't want to do any manual updates. I just want update my phone as my phone keeps.telling me there is a firmware update. You talked.about some things that I have never heard of so I asked for clarification. Is it wrong to ask? Yes I have been a member zince 2011 when I got my phone. I asked some questions back then and nothing since. It does not mean I am an expert in find out about some roms. I.just wanto have the the latest update.released by Samsung on my Samsung phone.
To putnit in a simple way. Why not just bring your phone to a customer service center and let them update for you?
Since you are not sure what those terms means and your phone seems to be in stock version. Samsung will update for you.

first, try Kies.
if that fails try again.
Then we check efs
try dial *#06# and check if imei is the one you expect, it should not be 00049.
Then dial *#272*yourimeihere# and check if csc is selected. That should be the one of your phone. Maybe something went wrong with previous updates there. If you select the original your phone came with then a factory reset wil occur. be carefull, phones have bricked that way.
Now another ingredient for succesful updating is pcode, this can be found via a another code. forgot which one. Getting that back is to much work, unless you have efs backup of working condition. Which nobody has usually.
I would recommend going back via dr ketans pc odin way to latest rom for the csc found in previoius steps and in a clean way. Or earliest and update back up. Before you do that backup efs Search how.

Why don't you try a factory reset by Settings>backup&reset>factory data reset! maybe this solved the issue, and try to be on a fast and secured data connection!, 3G will work! try this if it doesn't work then more solutions by my side!

Oh gosh! Please do so...I'm a Canadian using a G900A and it is so frustrating how I cannot get the OTA's here. I hope CPA1 improves performance because OF5 is a sometimes frustrating.
Am curious am in Canada if I use vpn to mimic being in USA and I put in a AT&T sim card (not currently active account) can I fool it I to ota update? I tried this and it checked for update and said none available at this time. check again in 24 hours. Not sure if this is Cuz update is being staggered or if this is the default message when you are not on their network?
Also. If someone does provide the update after downloading it what is the process of installing it in stock recovery?

one way to block the update is to fill up the SD partition. The update is not coming to my phone fortunately with a message to uninstall unused apps or delete photos and videos to free up 713.18 MB to enable the update process

I think you might be able to use the ODIN images in that thread but you should ask. If you are on a full OTA OI5, then chances of finding PA1 OTA from someone else is pretty low since OI5 was never rooted, hence there isn't a way to get the PA1 OTA from a OI5 device.
If you are on OI5 with keep root as in the other thread then the first post has the steps; you will need to go through an intermediate step of downgrading from OI5 to NCE and root the device on NCE and then upgrade to PA1 with that image. Note that if you took the OI5 OTA previously, downgrading to NCE will brick your device (DON'T DO IT).

You really shouldn't point people looking for the stock OTA file to that thread. It's really for rooted users who want to test drive the newer firmware. Some novice user who just wants the stock update file can really mess up their phone if they follow that thread.

The ota zip posted there was of3-pa1 not oi5-pa1. I am fairly certain it won't install on oi5.

Suposed that update is enable and consecutive for OI5
If I am on unrooted OI5 where can I get OTA G900AUCU4CPA1 and G900AUCU4CPA2 updates? I cannot download them since I am not in US. Can anyone give me links for stock OTA firmwares? I would really appreciate any help or advice.

Stock KitKat & Lollipop Firmware SM-T707A

What I have here is a stock KitKat Firmware for theGalaxy Tab S model SM-T707A that I pulled from kies when I was trying to upgrade to lollipop a few months back. I have successfully reverted from the newest Lollipop BOE5 back to kitkat using Odinv3.09, and from there you can successfully root with https://www.kingoapp.com/ as I did successfully on the first try. I have looked in every forum that is available on xda pertaining to this tablet and have not found a single thread stating that anyone has successfully reverted from Lollipop back to KitKat so they can successfully root. Well here it is FINALLY!!! At a later date I will upload the Lollipop firmware, but since there is no known root for it yet I likely will not be doing so anytime really soon. Anyone can pull the firmware themselves using my guide of reverting back to KitKat and then pulling the Lollipop firmware manually from kies while your tablet is in download mode by using this guide: http://androidforums.com/threads/how-to-backup-firmware-from-kies-upgrade-process.458795/ (Assuming AT&T still has the firmware in their servers)
Now in case anyone asks, this does not trip knox since it is an official firmware signed by samsung. The process is very simple, just open up Odinv3.09 and input the 4 files within each tab accordingly. The 4 files are labeled in correlation to each slot in Odin so please use your noggin and don't ask me where to put the files individually. Put your tablet in download mode by turning it off first, then pressing the home button volume down and power button at the same time. You'll get a message that says press volume up to put the tablet in download mode, then just plug it in (assuming you have already downloaded the Samsung drivers to your computer) and press start. When the process is finished you would have successfully reverted back to KitKat from Lollipop with Knox still at 0x0. I hope this guide will help anyone with this wonderful tablet as you can do what you want now without worry of bricking your device for some reason.
Firmware version: KitKat 4.4.2
Build number: KOT49H.T707AUCU1ANH9
Baseband: T707AUCU1ANH9
Model: Samsung-SM-T707A
EDIT: 7/11/16
So I borrowed an AT&T sim from my friend and I have successfully pulled the updates for Lollipop. There are 2 updates and you have to do them both separately one after the other. I made it as a simple ZIP file for you to just throw it on your external SD and boot into recovery and select the option for apply update from external sd card. Now it has to be named Update.zip and since there are 2 updates to get to lollipop I named the first one Update.zip and the second one which is the actual lollipop Update2.zip. You have to be sure and rename the second one to Update.zip after you have already flashed the first one via Recovery. I tried updating the second package by itself from a fresh install of KitKat ANH9 and it game me a bunch of errors and just reset my device. So i think in order to take the lollipop update you have to be on the ANK1 (the first Update.zip) firmware before you can take the lollipop BOE4 (the second Update2.zip which you have to rename to Update.Zip). Please back up all of your data as this method will reset your device after applying each update. Hope this will help anyone (especially outside of the country) to manually update to lollipop if you do not get the OTA

Sorry, I mean the Lollipop ROM for SM-T707A. Many customers bought the tablet and brought it outside US, and cannot upgrade due to missing active ATT SIM card.

As I mentioned in the post I probably won't be upgrading to lollipop anytime soon since there is no root for it yet. I had to borrow my buddy's ATT sim to even get the lollipop update in the first place as I am using it with t-mobile currently. I'm thinking of replacing them with ATT sometime in the near future since i will be going on a trip and need quality coverage where i'm going. Until then I would suggest either purchasing a sim from Amazon and paying for service for 1 week at a cheap price so you can pull the update and maybe intercept it to use for your own leisure, or wait until I go on my next trip:good::good::good:

You can still root lollipop with Flashfire.
Is there a link that confirms this root method working on lollipop for the T707A?

Yes it's AT&T unit, T707A. On 5.0.2. Everything lines up but it fails. I'll try to download the files again. Maybe something corrupted. Thanks

The new Android File Host link is up for you with freshly uploaded firmware. Please let me know which download link you used (the potentially corrupted one) so I can take it down and fix it
