I have an issue with my Bluetooth while connected to my Jawbone heaset. My vehicle keeps asking to connect to the phone simultaneously with the headset. It drains battery like crazy! From 100% to 40% in just 2 hours! My old Sony Ericsson had an option for Bluetooth powersave mode. It just allowed one connection in that mode. I'd really use something like that... Any idea's?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
With my previous android phone I was able to switch on bluetooth and it would automatically connect to the bluetooth hands free of my car, but with this phone i have to go in settings and click on the hands free, which is annoying.
Anyone having similar issues and solutions?
Thanks
No sir mine connects automatically once it paired to my car stereo. Maybe you need to delete your old phone from the stereo settings. I believe it only stores up to 2 devices simultaneously from its memory. Try it.

Soft ver: P88020a-EUR-XXX
Baseband ver:L6260_MODEM_SIC_02.1233.00
Had the One about a month with no issues. Then today Bluetooth is repeatedly disconnecting from my car stereo.
Can't get it sorted. Tried disabling power saver and wi-fi etc with no joy .

So my problem is that I only get a downstream of ~50kb/s when I am using Bluetooth. Like connected BT headphones and Youtube. If I switch to 3/4g I get normal internet speed. My router actually tells me that the device is limited to 1mbit while every other device gets their full bandwidth. If I disconnect the headphones, everything is normal as well. Headphones work fine everywhere else, even on my laptop (Also WiFi + bluetooth) I tried like everything I could do routerwise like switching channels, changing encryption. What else could I do?
I recently updated to 4.3 (from 4.2) and the problem still exists.

Does your router have a Bluetooth coexistence mode? Bluetooth and WiFi are in the same frequency bands and can sometimes fight. No matter what WiFi channel you use, it's still the 2.4G spectrum, which Bluetooth stretches almost all the way across (2.4 - 2.48). Encryption is irrelevant (and maybe make speeds worse).
It does seem more like a device specific issue, though, so I would recommend setting factory defaults. If that doesn't work, you can try re-flashing an FTF, but it may actually be a hardware issue.
Fun thing is, the it works on my laptop. It's connected via wifi and I connect my BT headphones and I get full speed on wifi. On my phone it works like a few seconds and then it switches to 1mbit. My router has no functions for BT and unfortunately it doesn't have a 5ghz mode.

It's probably just related to your phone specifically, then. Try the steps I suggested and see how that pans out for you.
Ugh I hate reflashing or resetting stuff in general. Well since there us no obvious solution I'll try to find a solution. Thanks for the help though. I'll report when I found the solution.

Hello everybody,
I hope this doesn't repeat an answered question.
I have a well maintained p880 (stock JB, rooted, frequently factory-restored).
I tried to connect to a bluetooth audio receiver. Connection is easy but the sound breaks very frequently. This is clearly not the receiver's fault because sound transmission from an iPhone or a laptop is perfect.
I have no reference to the phone's bluetooth capacities because it's the first time in 2 years that I try to use it.
EDIT: I just found out that turning off wifi solves the problem. This, however, is not really a solution.
Does anybody have any experience with it? Is there a way to improve bluetooth performance?
Thanks!
Im on Beanstalk and the Bluetooth connection with a car radio does break as well very often (about every 20 secs), WiFi is turned off always. Maybe it's the Bluetooth chip itself that has such bad connection.

I notice sometimes that my volume is much lower after using BT. A reboot fixes it but it's a pain to have to do that.
