This is mostly for entertainment, but I was so annoyed at the speaker grill lifting up on the top right next to the camera that I lifted up in order to glue it down again. In the process, I confirmed that the grill is indeed plastic rather than metal (which I was already pretty sure about). Since I'm at work, the best adhesive I had access to was actually Liquid Skin from the first aid box! It's basically a thick super glue. I lightly applied the adhesive it and applied gentle pressure while it set. It worked pretty well, except the plastic shows a darker outline of the glue behind it where there wasn't originally any adhesive. Pics attached. At least the grill is flush to the screen now!

Mines doing the same thing..... Pathetic build quality in my opinion.... It's not nearly as tough as my EvoLTE was, nice fix though

+1, we should not have to even deal with this.
I've been tempted to attempt the same fix, don't currently have a decent adhesive on hand. Thanks for the pics

Does anyone have experience with dealing with small chips in plastic? I have some small but noticeable chips on my Bezel. You can't really see them but you can feel the tiny bump. I was thinking of sanding it down... Would this damage it further? Is there some special sandpaper I should use?

I don't think using sandpaper is a good idea. I could be wrong but it would definitely remove the smoothness from your bezel and make it even more rough, and might even cause more damage. I know that in order to get rid of scratches on CDs one method is to use toothpaste (it has very, very fine grit) to 'sand' them out and its worked pretty well for me but you can definitely its been done. If you're worried I'd get a good case man, that'd protect your bezel and hide whatever damage has already been done.
Carefully use a little bit of acetone or MEK on a qtip.
CAREFULLY!
Chance of you ruining the phone are pretty high if you take sandpaper or acetone to it. Just deal with it, IMO.
accidentally scuff your screen or drip any acetone on it, and it will look like crap
I never use phone cases... makes phones too fat lol.
I would strongly advise you not to sandpaper your bezel. It'll just make things worse. Put a case on it and forget about it
In case you are planning to work on it, remove the benzel first. I know it can be done cause I partially removed mine when some paper got stuck in between the screen. It is clipped there.

Use a pouch for it for when your not using it.

Despite what people have said, you can use sandpaper, it just has to be a very high grit. If you want to remove scratches in plastic, I suggest you buy a pentair acrylic scratch removal kit. I have one and use it to remove all kinds of scratches in practically any type of shiny plastic, and I've actually used it to remove scratches on my SNS bezel. I would be very careful using any abrasive around the bezel because I would assume the screen coating is very easy to scratch.
Does that kit actually work? My vibrant tpu case let grit scatch the back and bezel and it drove me nuts. The nxs does easily but I ghost skinned my latest one and not a scrach yet. The full body kit looks great, and covers all but a tiny part on the front of the bezel. Due to the vinyl on there, the bezel is almost recessed so it doesn't seem to get the exposure to scratches that naked did too. If that pentair kit actually works id love to pick one up just in case and have someone do a detailed guide on how to do it right.

Just thought I'd say... It's more of an actual chip in the bezel than 'scratches'.
Guess I'll just wait for global direct parts to start selling some bezels. Easy to replace...
Hey all, ordered this before I got my N7 finally came in today. Fit is pretty decent but I think I'll take an exacto knife around the screen rim as it has a SLIGHT overhang. You'll definitely want a heat gun, a hair dryer might work but it will take quite a while to heat up. You want to peal off part of the bottom and cut the paper off. The only way to tell if you're lined up is by the speaker cut out so I lined that up and went from there. After I had the back laid on I smoothed the edges around sides and then worked on smoothing the corners. I then heated up the whole thing to activate the adhesive giving a lot of attention to the corners. It looks decent but it could be a little better cut.

I saw a video for the application of the skin that hinted to use a hair dryer on the corners to let them set better. I am just throwing that out there. I noticed that one of your corners was sticking out some. I saw the video on YouTube. You might have already seen what I am talking about.
Great job and the skin looks awesome.

Hi, i was wondering if you guys have any nicks or little pieces missing the polyamide frame? When i open the flaps i think my nail digs into the frame and acts like a knife and cuts it. There is plastic underneath the rubber layer of the frame. I wonder what i can use to fill that nick up and bring it back to normal it's actually bugging me. What's your Xperience? and any idea's on patching it up? lol Thanks!
if you're a real badass you can use some metal glaze then sand it down till it's flush with the frame again.
but that would take some seriously dextrous fingers.
Same here a little dent or nick, but nothing to write home about luckily. Hope you can make it acceptable for you again.

Skinomi screen protector. Scratches will not show unless they are really deep.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that... That's why on my second Pebble, I put a screen protector on right away.
I've read people advise using toothpaste and soft cloth to try to buff it out.

Use DISPLEX Display polish! My scratches are away. But it need much time to polishing!
Done with Tapa and One
I've read you can buff out scratches but that it has an anti-glare coating. I'm wondering if this will be effected?

Think of buffing as really low grit sanding. You're just sanding down the area around the scratch to remove it, for instance, with abrasive toothpaste. So yes, you would lose any coating if the scratch went through that layer. You would need to buff the entire surface, otherwise the area where the scratch was would look matte whereas the rest of the watch would be glossy. The only alternative, aside from a screen protector, would be to fill the scratch with something. I've heard that gel toothpaste absent breath enhancing flecks or whatever would work for filling.
I agree with everyone else here. I bought this

And a skinomi screen protector right after I polished. I didn't have deep scratches but it definitely got the little ones I had on there.

Rubbing Compound
Sold a second pebble I bought this morning. Put some rubbing compound on it with a tissue and then rubbed it off with an old clean shirt sleeve. The face looked fresh out of the plastic. Doing it to my daily watch tonight!
I use a product called Liquid Armour, just have to place a new coat every six months. Use it on all my phones as well...

Does the old coat peel off easily when you want to apply a new coat, or do you just add to what's there?

I just re-apply a new coat on top of the screen...
Toothpaste - must be slightly gritty, can't use gel-type .
1: Examine your Pebble and look for the area with the most scratches. It is best to hold it up to a bright light at an angle.
2: Get the toothpaste of your choice and squeeze a small amount onto the screen.
3: Rub the toothpaste around in a circular motion while applying gentle pressure. Focus on the areas with the most scratches.
4: After rubbing the toothpaste around for about 2-5 minutes, rinse off the Pebble with water. Examine the screen and repeat if necessary.
Anyone else getting dust in between where the screen meets the bezel?
Just a small amount but doesn't bother me. I can clean them out using a compressed air can.
Yeah frequently. There's a small shiny piece of plastic there and the gap is large enough to get dust. Also getting dust and pocket lint around the speakers.
