So I flashed a recovery from terminal emulator, pressed reboot to recovery, the phone showed blank black screen, shut down and it kept on doing this for a loooong time.
After that I tried download mode, but it's stuck at setup connection. Any things I can still try before JIG/JTAG?
EDIT: The panic was bigger than the problem. Pulled out SIM, SD card, tried to boot it, it displayed a logo showing that there is a problem with the connection to the PC, then I booted to download mode and flashed a 4 package ROM, as it can override the boot thingy. So it's all good now.

Hello,
could someone please help me with my issue about the phone, as the name says, it stops booting at the glowing S samsung galaxy s logo, does the whole animation and sound before hand but nothing after...
It only vibrates for a milisecond once and three rapid vibrationg after few seconds then repeats... and screen goes black as well...
What I did: I did what the guide to get the 3 button download mode said, I tried it while my phone was fully functional and it did enter the download mode... So I thought it worked fine, also did the rooting thing as it's said in a guide here somewhere... an icon, superuser showed up...
I had my sd card unmounted when I tried to flash my rom using this guide :
Code:
well I can't put a video link here, so I guess just the name of the video on youtube could be sufficient:
Samsung Galaxy S Full Customization Guide (Part 1 of 3)
I did everything according the guide and after I first hit Start in odin, it started flashing, then phone restarted and gave me an error... and that is the current state...
I can't go into download mode
I can go into the Clockwork recovery mode tho
I tried to press the recovery firmware but it didn't work, also tried to mount sd card in clockwork advanced settings but it gave me an error...
I also get a screen sometimes when I try to access clockwork recovery mode that says forced upload by key pressing...
Is there a way to fix this ? I am really hopeless in this...
Thank you so much in advance

Here's the deal, I have a sprout8 device (the Indonesian Nexian Journey One) running stock 6.0 with some xposed mods installed on it. Suddenly the device shuts down and when I try to boot it up it only goes halfway through the bootanimation when it shuts down again. I wasn't too worried as I thought it was just a conflicting system issue and I also thought it was time to re-flash fresh stock 6.0 to freshen up my phone anyway. So I went ahead and did it.
Here's where the problems start to show up, I had a hard time booting to recovery through the power + volume up combination. The phone suddenly shuts down on its own as it boots up. I tried it a few times and finally got to recovery. After that, as I flashed stock 6.0 the phone shut down again. I thought it was an issue with my recovery so I tried wiping everything through fastboot and re-flashed recovery through fastboot aswell. From there I tried again to flash stock 6.0 through recovery and again, the phone shut down. I tried a different ROM thinking it was a ROM issue but still got the same results.
After hours of trying to flash a ROM through recovery (retrying over and over as it suddenly shut down while flashing), I finally got a ROM installed. Then I rebooted my phone, but again it freezes halfway through the bootanimation (literally freezing the bootanimation) and refused to do anything. I took off the battery and booted up the phone countless tries trying to get it to boot up. When it finally booted up, I filled in all the Google startup credentials and finally got started on a fresh stock 6.0. However, I tried to restore my previous application data through Android's application recovery on startup but everytime the device installs a new application it would freeze up and shut down. This happened countless times. Then the phone, once again, shut down and could not start the ROM. It would freeze up on the bootanimation.
Then things started to get weird, when the phone turns on it should show the "Nexian" logo in all its glory before going to bootanimation. But here the screen gets all distorted and shows these weird horizontal (and sometimes vertical) lines. Nothing's wrong with my phone screen so I assume it is a system error. From here on, the phone refused to boot. It just shows the Nexian logo and restarts over and over. The same thing happens even after I re-flashed both my recovery and ROM. I even tried using SP Flash Tool to re-flash stock but still the same results.
Now, the device wouldn't even turn on. But when I connect it using USB to a Windows computer, it still gets detected through device manager as an ordinary MediaTek device.
I'm assuming now that it may be a problem with the /system parition where we install our ROMs in. The partition may be (partially) corrupt. Seeing as the device could still boot the ROM a few hours ago but freezing upon updates to the stated partition.
If you guys have any other ideas/solutions I'm all ears.
[SOLVED: Just downloaded latest version of Odin from Sammobile. What a relief!]
Hey guys, this is my first post so please forgive me for any mistakes.
My Note, unlocked SM-960U1, was stuck on June 1 security patch so I decided to flash to this month's firmware:
N960U1UEU2CSH2 for XAR
This got me stuck in a boot loop, which is now causing me to panic. I tried going to download mode and flashing it again but then another issued appeared:
it got stuck on a blue screen with the android and "erasing" I used HOME_CSC This isn't even supposed to erase anything!!!
I tried going on recovery mode but It didn't show up. I went to download mode then, and chose restart. That led me to the recovery mode and I chose restart again, and it showed me this:
#Reboot Recovery Cause is [[odin]RebootRecoveryAfterOdinDL]#
Support SINGLE-SKU
Block-Based OTA
Supported API: 3
# MANUAL MODE v1.0.0#
Rebooting...
That just froze and never rebooted! NO other commands work now. I am freaking out. The phone is hot also. Please someone help out!
Update
I can go on download mode now, but if I choose reset it sends me to the boot screen and then I see a dead android for a split second, then I'm in recovery mode. I can do nothing useful in there and restarting just freezes again

you might have your terminology backwards. There isnt a button in download mode to reset the phone, there is one in recovery tho.
Anyways, if you can get to download mode, youre likely gonna be just fine. Just download a fresh copy of your firmware and flash it with Odin with your phone in download mode
Battery Drained

I know it's been a year, but I recently experienced the issue. So this is for...someone else? lol
If you had a PASS on Odin and yet you stuck on boot loop, chances are your battery is drained, and it might not successfully boot to run configuration and deletion. Connect it to a power source, it might prompt it to the boot loop but do it regardless. After like 15-30 mins, you should see the battery charging indicator. You should be good!
I tried installing a custom ROM and rooting my Tab A 10.1 2019 and now it is stuck in a bootloop and will not turn off. What happens:
1. I get the Galaxy Tab A screen
2. Get a message about boot loader unlocked
3. Tablet starts showing the Samsung logo loading screen
4. Tablet restarts
I can't get it to break this loop, it won't even turn off., just keeps looping. Any advice?
When you see the boot-up logo quickly use adb to reboot into recovery and re-flash
Hi. How did manage the problem.? I have mine at the same behavior. Cable was dettached while flashing with Odin.
Can you still boot-up at all? i.e. does any boot screen show up? If the screen turns on make sure its plugged in and then use ADB reboot recovery to get back into recovery if it hasn't been overwritten. From there you can mount storage if its TWRP and push files to your device for the ROM, and then flash from recovery. Also you could try to find an app that can fully restore your device to factory, I know there are apps that can do that. Good luck bro. Try drfone?
