You cannot flash or update a stock OTA through a custom rom or by having a custom recovery installed
As you have wiped your OS, your ned to reinstall the stock rom
Download from here
Make sure you install the correct version for you phone

I haven't been able to run rumrunner's o-ff yet, I won't just learned about it
what to do mean by
"You have to censor IMEI and S/N[/QUOTE]"
You have the wrong recovery for your OS version. Same mistake I made. Extract the recovery.img from this Telus RUU and flash it. It is the same OS version as our Rogers devices. Couldn't find a Rogers RUU either.
http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu-zip...157-04_release_336571_signed_2_decrypted-zip/
I'm assuming you had custom recovery and now need the stock for the OTA?

Maybe you can flash a signed RUU.. nope sorry... i didn't find one for 631 (Rogers)
Maybe try unlocking your phone with HTCdev.. you should know how to do that.... since you are relocked...
after you did that quote or mention me again
Edit:
It would be highly appreciated if you punched the thanks button..
Let's backup a bit here.
Why are you trying to flash recovery? Did you have a custom recovery installed?
What was \ is the issue with your device? Does it not boot since the failed OTA update? If not what do you see?

what's worth noting, is that with S-Off you do not need to lock/relock bootloader to be able to flash in "fastboot oem rebootRUU" mode (or RUU.EXE); this is still a small misconception some users have due some of the pre-S-Off days guides, where locking/relocking bootloader was required (due to S-On) in order to update firmware or run an ruu.
PS: the above chart obviously assumes that CID and MID match "android-info.txt"

If you look at this chart.. you'll see that in your state you can only flash things in rebootRUU mode! So since we don't have a signed RUU for you... you have to unlock your bootloader so that we can flash a custom recovery and do further things...

Re unlock the bootloader from htc dev. I believe if the bootloader is relocked custom reecovery doesn't work, I also think i've read that it may not boot right. So re unlock and your issues may disapear
When mine sat at the htc logo after the ota failed because of the wrong stock recovery. I had to restore my nandroid so that it would boot, then flash the proper stock recovery version, reboot and download the ota and run.

No nandroid backup from clockwork to reinstall on the sd card? If not I think you will have to push a custom rom from adb or sideload with an otg cable
Hello there...
I just tried to update to the latest HD revolution ROM, something ive had no problem with in the past but this time it has failed and I can't seem to get past the recovery... My phone gets to the HTC welcome page, then sticks, I can get in to recovery mode though...
can anyone help me out please?
I already have the ADB installed, HTC drivers, I did have a problem getting in to CWM recovery but flashed latestclockwork recovery via the ADB Toolkit and thats working now.. I also have a nandroid save but it is a series of files in a folder and not a zip (is that right?)..
I've tried following a few suggestions but nothing has worked so far...

edit: and yes the nandroid backup is a folder containing files, not a zip.
so flash twrp 2.6.3.3
erase cache

Thanks alray..
was a bit worried about asking a previously asked question but had spent hours staring at comments and suggestions
I'll reflash with the twrp recovery..
Hey Guys,
hope u can help me.
I have a HTC ONE M/_UL. It was rooted via HTC One Tool. Now the Update for Sense 6 was coming up. So i was trying to get it. I have flashed a stock firmware/recovery but the Sense 6 Update wasn´t install. After the half install process it canceld with an error.
Okay, i tought to flash a complete Stock Rom - and the problem begins.
I was trying to flash an Nandroid backup and copied all the stuf fto the device.
I flashed the boot.img sucessfully. But to flash the Nandroid i need CWM or TWRP. So i´ve unlocked the bootloader.. Oh wait. While unlocking the bootloader all files where deleted on the phone -.-
So i was fighting to get the nandroid back to the phone without any sucess. Nothing works.
So i was trying to do this stuff from the XDA Forum:
ype: fastboot oem lock (if your device is not relocked yet)
Type: fastboot oem rebootRUU and wait for device to reboot
Type: fastboot flash zip firmware.zip and wait for process to complete
Sometimes flashing for the first time doesn't work, so flash firmware.zip again just to make sure.
Type: fastboot flash zip firmware.zip and wait for process to complete
Type: fastboot reboot

Without any sucess.
At the moment i am unable to flash ANYTHING. NO boot.img, no firmware, no recovery, no nothing
I always get this error:
(bootloader) signature checking...
FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)
So, at the moment im very helpless, because nothing works.
Maybe you Guys are my last chance to get this phone working again? or is it bricked now and i can use it as a paperweight?
Here are some basic data from my device:
- Win 8.1 x64
- HTC Driver 4.10.0.001

Hey Guys,
hope u can help me.
Without any sucess.
At the moment i am unable to flash ANYTHING. NO boot.img, no firmware, no recovery, no nothing
I always get this error:
(bootloader) signature checking...
FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)
So, at the moment im very helpless, because nothing works.
Maybe you Guys are my last chance to get this phone working again? or is it bricked now and i can use it as a paperweight?
Here are some basic data from my device:
- Win 8.1 x64
- HTC Driver 4.10.0.001
Code:
C:\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>fastboot getvar all

You can't flash or do anything because your bootloader is relocked. Unlock again and flash TWRP 2.6.3.3
http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/m7/openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7.img
Download a custom rom, ie ARHD or Viper rom to your PC and sideload or push it to your phone, then flash using twrp

No the relocked Bootloader wasn´t the problem, because i also tried it with unlocked bootloader.
I was trying around a little bit and i have found a solution.
I was downloading the OTA Zip File from the Sense 6 Update. Then i´ve extracted the firmware.zip file from this.
This FIrmware i was able to flash. After that i was able to install a Rom.
The Most important step was to format everything in TWRP, because without this step i was unable to flash a rom via sideload.
IT stucks with a error all the time and driving me crazy
But after i waas formatting everything via TWRP it works without any problem.
Thank You
Hi guys,
I have searched number of forums but have not been able to fix this phone.
Basically I have HTC One Mini 2 which have died (run out of battery) during software update.
Now it will not boot, it will not go into recovery. I have only fastboot mode accessible.
Important: Phone is locked and I cannot unlock it it. I'd loose all pictures when doing so.
This what I'm trying to avoid.
The goal is to get all the pictures from the device.
The phone is not mine, but this is not important right now. My friend asked me for help here.
We just need to get the pictures from the device.
There was no memory card so everything should be stored on 'data' partition.
fastboot getvar all returns this:

You are in a bit of a problem. But I think it could be fixed.
First things first, that screen you see in the recovery is normal. You will have to hold the power in volume buttons to enter the recovery.
1. Next, get this file. This is the firmware image that can be flashed via the bootloader since it is signed by HTC itself.
2. Then rename it to "0P8BIMG.zip" and put it in the root of an sdcard and insert it.
3. Boot into the bootloader and keep you fingers crossed.
If it works, you will have a stock firmware installed. Please make note that the firmware is actually for the unlocked variant of the One Mini 2.
Thank you for looking into it.
I have done the steps described by you but unfortunately phone is not able to install this ROM as it has incorrect CID.
It looks like it expects CID of 'VODAP001'
Please see the message:
Good thing is that phone see the image and starts loading process.
Do you have other ROMs that might be used here?
Thanks

Do NOT reboot phone with USB cable.~
Disconnect and reboot using buttons. Try a few times.

It is a Vodafone Mini 2. So you would require this
Hi,
Thank you for this file.
I have started in bootloader mode and it picked up the file OK.
System was updated, phone is starting OK but unfortunately it has cleared data partition during the process.
So despite the fact the phone is up and running now, I have failed to recover pictures from it.
Thank you for your help, I'd not got this far without your help.
A while ago I tried rooting my phone. As memory would serve me, I probably did not do it correctly. I am now stuck with TWRP and no SuperSU, or root. Now, whenever I try to install software updates or heck even try to factory reset this damn thing outta here, it denies me everything. It won't allow me to mount the data folder (?) and I've tried using ADB, but heck I barely have a clue what I'm doing. Is there anyway to just bypass all this garbage and get rid of it (I don't mind wiping everything). I have also tried to install SuperSU, but the .zip file never shows up when I go to install.
HELP!

You might want to go back to stock using a RUU. What is your "fastboot getvar all" output? (don't post imei and serilano)

The 7.17.666.7 RUU version (Bell Mobility) is available here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/general/lollipop-ruu-zip-small-collection-t3053944
Follow instructions at post #1 to flash the file
After flashing this RUU your phone will be wiped and completely back to stock. Once booted you can go to "about phone" and "software update", you should be prompted to update the phone twice (2 ota updates)

This is what I got.
When I rebooted it was the same.
Also, in the instructions it said to rename htc_fastboot, but when i downloaded the file, it was already named "fastboot" and I already have a "fastboot" in my "Minimal ADB and Fastboot" folder located in Program Files.
Did I do something wrong?

Use the version from the instructions and rename it htc_fastboot.exe and save it where the original fastboot in your "minimal adb and fastboot" folder is (you can keep both versions but make sure to use htc_fastboot at least for the "flash zip ruu.zip" command).
