[Q] custom recovery on SM-G730V ??? - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
I live outside the U.S. and I bought 2 Verizon Samsung S3 mini (SM-G730V). I planned to use them because I thought they were global ready. I want to install a custom rom but I need a custom recovery. Is there any custom recovery for the SM-G730V? I wasn't able to find any online. OR can I use the custom recovery of the Samsung S3 mini I8190 on my SM-G730V?

I think there are no custom ROMs for your device to this moment About the recovery, I have the same question = Is there a specific version of CWM or TWRP for each phone or the one I have on my GT-I8190 would work on lets say a Galaxy S5 for example?

No recovery available for your model yet, probably never. All cwm & twrp are specific for each device

can you give update on where you stand, not with the recovery but ability to use outside of US. I'm assuming you want to use on GSM network

Do you have some more details what you are looking for? Because for sure you cannot flash any S4 Rom on our S1 .

Click to collapse I saw the S4 ROM`s available for Micro-max mobile as a custom ROM.. so just want to try my I9000 can be update to firmware since Samsung is stopped the original firmware update. currently, I am using MIUI ROM custom on I9000.. it`s good & I am happy..but looking for Samsung new firmware..

Click to expand... Click to collapse Those are not ROM ports mate , it's just about theming some core apps like a Touchwiz ( SGS 4 ) rom. You can find such several ports in the development section.
What you're seeing is s4-look ROMs for s1, not actual s4 ROMs that you can flash on an s1. That's a sure fire way to brick your phone.. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk

Not even 5 seconds. I think Odin would fail almost immediately. The Micromax have rom ports that (quite accurately) resemble the S4 because they take stock 4.2.x roms and theme/mod them. The S doesn't have this option Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk

Hi, i am looking for CWM for Samsung Galaxy GT 8200. In anyone working on it? I have not found any costum recovery for this model which is a pity because it will never get an Update for Kitkat although it is a new version of S3 mini. Click to collapse At this point, if you can get root on your G870A, you can only flash some TouchWiz ROMs, like Alliance or TMS5. AptOS and the X ROM are not compatible with the G870A.
