4.4.2 updated over night now can't connect to google - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Not really sure what to do so any help is appreciated. The other night my phone updated. 4.4.2 so of course I lost my root. Now I can't log into Google. Every time I do says can't establish a network connection. I know back in the past while I was rooted I could edit the ect file. But now I don't have root am I am lost. I try to do a factory reset and no luck. So I have no apps now and lost all of my contacts. I was rooted with kingo so Knox was never tripped. Not really sure what to do. Thanks a lot

[Q] Update Broke Root, Note 3 is now not rooted, but root is installed

So, the situation is a bit weird. About a week and a half ago, some update came out for my AT&T Note 3, and after declining, later it forced me to install it. After installing, it seemed to have disabled root, but I still had the custom icon show up when it booted, and root functions were disabled. It was as if root was not uninstalled, but disabled. I've tried re-rooting the normal way, but that gives a fail when I try to use the OneClickBin application. I haven't tried skipping that and installing root for fear of bricking the phone on some incompatibility. If someone else has this problem or has solved it, please let me know what you did or give any advice you can. The ideal result would be for my phone to end up back in the stock firmware, updated and ready to root as if nothing was wrong. I'd also appreciate it if anyone can give me info on the update that broke it, so I can check for a root method which is compatible with it. Thanks in advance.

You got the update to MJ5, try using Kingo Root.
I'm noticing that Kingo Root's version page does not list the SM-N900A model. We're sure it's supported, right?
Yup! I used it on mj5 update

Lost root and gapps wont work!

So my G5 Active was rooted and I had all of my mods and root apps etc. but then one day an at&t update appeared so since i had safestrap and multiple backups i wanted to see if supersu's survival mode worked... Well it did not work so the i went to reboot my phone and the safestrap boot screen didn't popup nor can i go into the safestrap recovery installer and boot into safestrap by clicking "boot into safestrap". So not the end of the world i don't desperately need root (even though i would like it back) but the playstore cant connect to the internet. I have tried re-installing and uninstalling updates. So this is really annoying and in my opinion a big problem but when i went to my workplace the next day and i connected to the Wifi at my workplace it worked again so then i realized that the only difference between my wifi and my offices wifi is that my offices wifi uses a proxy. So then i though it was the host file since i was having this problem right before i lost root and updated gapps and i had adaway. I cant access the host file without root and i tried using ADB push/pull and when i try to push it back it says read only interface so now I'm really stuck and help wold be much appreciated. Thank for taking the tome to read this.
I believe you have to ODIN back to before the update and then block the update, I haven't seen anyone say this is successful but what I understand it should be.

I did exactly that last night. I used ODIN to downgrade to Build ANE4 after the OTA update installed Build ANG3 on my Galaxy S5 Active. I had to do a factory reset afterward because my stock email app was repeatedly crashing. But towelroot worked and I'm back to normal with the OTA update frozen by Titanium Backup.

[Q] Google Account Login not working

Ok, my Google services started to tell me i couldn't establish a connection when i was rooted, so i removed hosts. It started working again. Then I unrooted my SM-N900A (Samsung Galaxy Note 3 AT&T),4.4.4, using the unroot from supersu. I backed my phone onto samsung kies and then factory reseted it. However, while setting up my phone, I plugged it in to my computer to restore my data. Now I cannot log into google, and I want to try to avoid root.
Hi there,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum.

I would recommend flashing the stock ROM. I haven't checked on available resources for the Note 3 in a while, but is 4.4.4 available for download? If not does anybody know if flashing any version of KitKat will work?

I don't think 4.4.4 is available for download yet, so I am going to take my phone to AT&T to get it checked. Sorry for being such a newbie if there is a easy solution.
Is there anyway I can root my SM-N900A 4.4.4? I've tried towel root and it's not supported yet.

Restore to Factory Settings for Galaxy S5 OC4

I have searched all over this site for hours, and all I find are old descriptions to restore S5 to factory default. Most of them I know do not work any more.
The guides that I have found to do this are old, and we need a specific guide. Like some mention to use Samsungs old app, Kies. It is now Smart Switch. And Kies wouldn't install factory settings on certain phones including the Galaxy.
I know that with Super SU, I can remove the root from my device. But if my the OC4 is something I downloaded from here, with "rooted" in the title, then I probably shouldn't just use Smart Switch to restore to factory default.
What do I need to download besides Odin? Or if there is an updated article on here for OC4 that I am somehow missing, please give the link. I used FlashFire for the rooting.
Thank you!
Lets say I want to not void my warrenty. How do I get back to factory settings. I want to wipe everything.
My phone is getting too slow, and most of it has to do with rooting. Apps crash, phone camera is almost unusable, and getting back to the home screen takes some time, and major delays in switching apps. I don't want to do this and find I bricked the phone by unrooting with SuperSU, then doing the regular method of restoring factory settings.
Thanks.

Need Help Recovering Deleted Contacts and Texts

Hello all,
Does anyone know how to recover deleted contacts and their text logs from a Samsung-SM-G920A, using Android Version 5.1.1 , Baseband version G920AUCU3BOJ7?
I've already replaced the phone so I honestly don't care if destroy the phone to get these files back. My only fear is permanently losing the data. Every recovery method I've come across so far, requires a ROOT which is not yet available.
Would greatly appreciate all the help I can get
root it using kingroot or pingpong root
