well your phone never went in sleep mode and neither your wifi. You probably have an app which prevent the phone going in sleep mode. Also set wifi settings so the connection is turned off while screen is off.
you could try to find which app is causing this with gsam battery monitor from the playstore.
you could also enable power saver mode

Well my Wi-Fi is mostly switched off for the better part of the day. But ill give the app a shot and let you know.

Battery percentage problem

My SGT is having a strange battery percentage problem. The battery was at 95% and the unit was on flight mode last night with no apps running. This morning it was dropped to 78% (over about 6.5hrs). So I turned it off and restarted, the battery percentage was back to 94%.
For some reasons, the battery percentage is dropping way too fast until I restart the unit, it seems like android is reporting a wrong battery percentage. Or could it be the battery? Does anyone experience the same problem? Any solution? And what is the normal power consumption under flight mode for other SGT user?
I just did a hard reset (wipe cache/data and reset to factory) to see if it helps and I am not installing any apps just to keep it in stock condition.
Thanks!
Generally, about 3% lose of bettery during the whole night with mobile on, while power meter may go wrong on Android devices, for example XT701 is.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
So the XT701 has the same problem? How do they resolve this?
I start to think if I should take it to Samsung for repair.
Any help guys??
Would flashing a new firmware help the situation? I am tired of rebooting the tab so often just to get the right battery percentage report.
Other than this issue, the tab is PERFECT. I just wanna get this over with and enjoy using it.
Still looking for helps.....
Galaxy Grand Quattro: battery is fine, just the prob is with the indicator
Galaxy Grand Quattro : while charging it suddenly jumps from 78% to 100% and asks to unplug the charger. When i unplug it it shows 78 or 80% back again !!! I believe that this is related to software issue. So i have done a factory reset, but no use. someone pls help if this is a known issue.. Googled abt it but dint fine anything there.. Thanx in advance.

Battery discharging very quickly due to NO Deep Sleep

Hi,
I have been struggling with my battery lasting not more than 15 hours once it has been fully charged, so I decided to investigate and found out about the deep sleep issue that a lot of people are facing. I would be attaching screenshots of CPU spy and better battery stats.
Most details are in screenshots, i would be glad to provide whatever else might be required !
I hope someone would diagnose and help me resolve the issue.
Thanks in advance

Try the fix in the link, below, also turn of account auto syncing.
also you could try the free version of watchdog, to see which apps/processes are using your cpu.

I had applied this fix .. and i had managed to get healthy deep sleep upto 70% of time in last charge discharge cycle, but in this cycle the situation is back to old one .. i.e. No Deep Sleep .. and i dont know what caused it, this time around. This fix works but it might sudeenly stop working for no reason.
Thats why i am posting the screenshots so that people can look at them and suggest me what caused it ...

This will only work if the root the phone ... well i didnt want to do that for as long as possible.
Ok not sure about network locator, audio1 is I think about a bug of android which you can test by going to sounds and turning of the options in bottom. Especialky the sound when touchscreen is touched. Its sucks but should fix that.
Network thing, again not sure but could be fixed by turning off network dormancy in *#9900#.
Next to this test strange route: turn on airplane mode, turn off phone, pull battery for 30sec then tunr on phone and turn off airplane mode. Dont know why but some reported it works. Could work in your instance.

[Q] battery drain - can't identifiy despite bbs

hey guys,
i have a problem with my i8190 since i've bought it... the os is draining battery and i'm loosing about 20% battery over night...
i've tried several things:
installed newer official versions from samsung
deactivated nearly every app
calibrated battery
tried benzrom
tried juicedefender
but still no success.
can you identify something in my bbs??
thx in advance
I have the same problem, i had a full charge at night, then i woke up and the phone had 50 % battery, GPS, Bluetooth, Wifi were off and it drained half my battery, also installed CPU spy, and i notice that my phone is not going into deepsleep, i only have 5 hours of deepsleep and dont know when that was, i have the latest firmware, anyone else having this issue?
It's normal for this phone. Put the phone in airplane mode at night helps me with battery drain, just 2% juice gone.

install adaway
should decrease the battery drain and free up some memory in the process
Well for mine it was an app called Jango, for some reason this app after quitting it wouldn't let the phone go to deep sleep, removed the app and now its going to deep sleep.
Use JuiceDefender or or try to change your brightness level.
Please reply to my better-battery-stats...
I has nothing todo with screen brightness
thanks for the tip with adaway... i'm already using it... but no success
@kicker63: this can't be, when i see people having the s3 mini with up to 4 days usage

Your battery might be defective i guess, if deep sleep is that long and you're losing battery, i guess u have to blame the battery
I don't believe people get upto 4 days usage, if they do they hardly use the phone. Most people on here say about 1 days usage is common. Screen brightness on full will drain your battery more quickly.

It's a long shot, but I also experienced a lot of problems using Viber.. JuiceDefender etc wouldn't solve it, betterbatterystats wouldn't detect it, ...
Just noticed after a while that my sudden battery drains were triggered as soon as I received a message on Viber.
I also heard about facebook apps draining the battery.
Maybe you should first try to reset it to factory settings before asking a new battery?
Good luck with your phone, I know it can be frustrating..

If you're rooted, use greenify to stop facebook from running in the background during sleep
resetting the phone wouldnt help since he is getting almost 99% deep sleep reported in BBS

Viber was the culprit in my case. Eating battery like a hungry monster :silly:

PROBLEM - Heavy battery drain (standby) - 10% per hour.

Admins, please move to corecrt Thread (One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting)
Hy all!
Im having major problem with my HTC One battery.
In the begining, battery works realy good (2 days of light usage) and then of the sudden starts draininig 10% over night (standby, wifi off, sync of, hard reset is done, only GSM).
I`ve noticed that sometimes, back of my phone got warm (even im not using it)
Yesterday, i turn on airplane mode and battery lost 30% over 8 hours.
WakeLock says 98% deep sleep.
GSAM says 30% use phone radio, 70% apps (system and kernel)
I cant post pictures cause im writting this from work.
Stock android v 4.2.2.
T-Mobile carrier (M7 version)
Can anyone help? I tried almost all solutions founded on forums...
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english.
Try Greenify on the Playstore, it show you all the wakelocks and allow you to hibernate them
hooh! that's bad. maybe you have a lot of apps running in background.

I have WakeLock Detector instaled and 98% is in deep sleep. I disabled all apps i dont using and that can cause such a masive battery drain.
My mobile radio is big power consumer (switched to GSM only with very good signal).

My phone is stock (not rooted) so i dont know if Greenify is going to work?
Here are some screenshots.
Here are some new screenshots (before sleeping charged to 100%).
Phone was not used before taking the screenshots. Setup was the same as in the first post.
Could it be a bad battery? Should I return the phone?

High Battery Drain

Can anyone help me with this?
FYI, I just rooted successfully with vroot.
The battery level is 97%
I have tried clearing the data of eco mode controller, but standby time still remains very low.
I trier better battery stats and.found no particular wakelock.
Battery life was amazing.before rooting.

Try to re flash the stock ROM and then root again using doomlord easy rooting toolkit or use custom ROM
Sent from my C5303 using xda app-developers app
Do not reflash stock ROM it is a waste of time.
Do the following:
Open settings > Apps > All > Eco mode controller (delete data)
Reboot your phone. The data of the Eco mode is messed up so it is a waste of time to reflash stock rom and lose all your data
google location settings

Don't mind the estimate. If I switch on Stamina Mode it shows 11 days (!!!) and when switch off shows 6 hours(!!!)....
Use your phone for everything as much as you can (instead of looking at it ) and if phone is new give it a week or several charge cycles.

I would love to see a screenshot showing 11days as standby time.
Btw, standby time is amazing on SP. It loses 1% /8hrs. But WiFi takes up alootttt if juice. :/

Well, it showed me 11 days when Stamina Mode was ON. When switched FF showed 6 hours. But I had issues with my phone (very fast battery drain, extreme overheating), so cleared Eco mode data, and disabled/uninstall few apps. And now, when turn ON Stamina it shows 1 day 10 hours (example), so looks its back to "normal" . I think something was messed up in the system as now phone performs perfectly. Better than my previous phone, the mighty S3 LTE.
And I have to admit, I didn't like Sony (had only SE X10 which was a disaster), but this SP impressed me so much, that I ordered Z1 as well.
It's a good experience and refreshment from Samsung

A yeah, will stick with with Sony for a while. At least until Samsung S5 is out. Then will see ...
And btw, the Snapdragon Guru app does a good job as well.
Also I find out that AV's and task killers doing more harm than good.
Disabled most useless apps (GAPPS,FB,Whatsapp etc) and I am really happy with my SP now.
One thing did a magic : in the Settings I switched Off Animation, Transition and one more thing and phone performs absolute perfectly.
