I'm looking for a screen protector that will reduce sensitivity. I'm not sure I like capacitive screens... With my previous Touch HD I can use anything with pin sharp accuracy.
I attached FOLIX-Screen protector antireflective (sorry, can´t post external links as Junior member). Bought it from Amazon GER.
Attaches easy and perfectly, no air-bubbles, gives a much better haptic response and reduces mistyping and best of all: NOW I can fully use it in direct sunlight as Navi-System on my ultralight-gyroplane.
Together with the tweaks and progs from the xperts in this forum (You are absolutely great guys !) it spared me to buy a new mini-notebook for the go.
Wouldn´t know how to live and navigate w/o HD 2 any more

I got a set of three off eBay for £3. They reduce glare because they have a satin texture, and reduce sensitivity (probably because of their cheapness!) but in this instance it's a great advantage.
My keyboard has almost COMPLETELY stopped going crazy outdoors and is now very usable. No tweaks needed. It fits well at the top but bevels off level with the middle of the keys rather than being cut out. This isn't really a problem for me though.
If you want the eBay link I can pass it on. The brand is E-cell.
Thanks for the help people.
I ended up buying the cheapo anti glare protector from e-cell. I'll let you know how it went once received.
I'm using an E-Cell one, it's great!
I bought a pack of 5 cheap one of ebay, and I now have more control over the screen as its less responsive

LOL I went around and bought from 10 different suppliers on ebay their antiglare screen protectors.
I've the e-cell ones too. personally don't think it's very good. it's very thin and it scratches relatively easily. dents easily IMHO.
Of all those I received, I prefer the ones from amor_istores.
I don't like some of the others coz they don't have a curve at the bottom. Not very comfortable with them since others provide "more" protection.
AVOID the ones from hello.6670 : They're not anti-glare at all, but they're fantastic clear screen protectors, looks as if you don't have a screen protector. I emailed wanting to change for something that's really anti-glare, but the seller's pretty rude, and I've actually opened a dispute with them.
Thanks If I don't like the e-cell SP I will give your suggestion a go.

I saw last week a shop selling the invisibleshield for the HD2 and a note that says it reduces sensitivity so need to press extra hard... was a bit too expensive for me.
Hope this helps.
Oh yes just a note. Some of the screen protectors I've tried cause my screen sensitivity to be totally off... you know there's a thread talking about screwed up screen sensitivities, where there are ghost taps, inaccuracies etc? Yes, That definitely happens for me with the invisibleshield, some of the mirror screen protectors.
of course, your experiences may vary. I wouldn't have pinned it down to the screen protectors if I didn't start off with a super good one, with no problems, and problems starting only with some of the other screen protectors and gone once I removed them.
This WILL reduce censitivity but also it will increase friction. meaning, it will be hard to slide your fingers on the screen since you're practially sliding your finger on some non-slide material.
http://www.netimes.com/shop/glarefr...tc-hd2-t8585-htc-leo-p-2466.html?cPath=80_731
I've got one of those on at the moment. Does work for anti glare and makes the screen less sensitive.
So, I keep getting a problem with ghost touches and grubby fingers and I wanted to get a screen protector. Opinions seem to vary wildly on them, so I was curious what everyone recommends. I was actually looking at the Monoprice ones (since they're under $5 shipped). Has anyone tried the the "high transparency" or "matte finish" ones from here?
http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10843&cs_id=1084307
Or is there another kind you like?
I have these http://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-Anti-Gla...7?pt=AU_TabletAccessories&hash=item3cbd6dd853 and they work really well. Easy to apply as well.

Cool, thanks. I might have to get those. .... I like this part.... "Accessory ONLY. Device not included" ....darn!
Having a spare is nice too!
I use xoskins. They have a lifetime warranty and they look better than anything else
Thanks. I ordered the ones Zires mentioned -- just awaiting shipment. We'll see how they work out, but for $3.11 I'm not out too much.
@ponyboy82,
Still good for me. The matte finish is great.
I am using the one that came with the Aegis case. After about 4 months it has started lift up around the edges so the time may have come for a new one.
Do any of those screen protectors that claim to allow for reading in daylight really work?
thanks you for the info
Just following up... I finally received and applied the screen protector that zires suggested, and it works great. The installation went pretty well -- I used the hot shower trick as well as some tape on a pen to pick up a couple stray pieces of dust. I actually failed to line it up correctly so had to pick the whole thing back up and reapply it, and it still turned out great. This was actually the best screen protector install I've done.
If anyone else is looking for screen protectors, I'd really recommend the matte/anti-glare ones. It sounds like any of them should be about the same. I actually ordered some for a couple of our phones. I haven't tested daylight reading yet, but it definitely cuts down on smudges and glare, and I haven't had ghost touches happen again yet. The NC won't magically get brighter, but just reducing glare should help in daylight. It does cut down on the clarity a little, but overall not too bad.
I really like the Monoprice matte screen protectors -- I've used them on a number of devices (including the NC) and they are extremely durable, they don't have reflection problems, and their surface feels a lot better than some of the other screen protectors I've found on Amazon/E-Bay.
They're the typical static cling type.
Check out ebay, I bout 4 for 5 bucks shipped, I bought screen covers for my phone tablet and all r great quality, they r generic but u won't notice the diffrence

Hi
Whilst waiting for my watch to be shipped to me , I had a couple of questions that I hoped people would be able to answer;
1. Screen on time - I know in Watchmaker you can change the time that a watch screen stays on, but I've heard that you need to be wary of "burn in" on the OLED screen. Is it OK to increase the default length of time to 10 or 15 secs without having an impact on this? I would like to show off some of my watchfaces and I don't want to be pressing the screen every 5 secs to display it again. I plan to change watch faces every couple of days anyway and use ones that only show hands when the screen goes dark.
2. Screen Protectors - I've seen a few screen protectors on ebay and Amazon but I've also seen tempered glass protectors which are starting to become available via Hong Kong. Have people used these tempered protectors, how do they perform? are the better than the standard screen protectors? or do people not bother with anything?
Your advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
1. this is absolutely OK, it hurts only battery life. You only need to worry about burn-in in the ambient mode (99% of the time) where you want to avoid thick bright lines - I set all my watchfaces to only display digital clock in small thin font in ambient mode. For such short periods, no burn-in can occur (not a few years anyway)
In ambient mode, android wear shifts the whole face a few pixels in different directions every now and then, to with thin lines there's nothing to worry about, but keeping one pixel bright (because it's in the middle of a thick line) is something you absolutely need to avoid.
2) I never use screen protectors - I always buy them, try them and then put them in trash, they just ruin the experience. The only time I regret not having them is after about a year when I scratch it hard with something, but I still consider that a lesser evil compared to a diminished experience with a screen protector. But that you need to decide for yourself.
I have the watch for more than a month and it doesn't have a scratch, and the bezel is quite thick and will protect the watch face. You wouldn't put a screen protector on a luxury watch, would you? Then why would you put it on this?
A whole different situation will be in summer, when most of us will end up on a beach somewhere with a watch on our wrist - don't even think about touching the watch there, not until you have no sand on your hands or clothing.
I used the skinomi screen protector which unlike most protectors is a film that is applied using a liquid spray which is applied before fitting the film.
I find that this means that you get no bubbles or dust. It looks awful at first but over 24 hours it 'straightens out' and looks and works great.
Tempered glass screen protector definately the way to go if you want to go down that route

You have one? How is it working out for you? We've been talking about them in this thread and been wanting to hear from someone who actually has it already.

Personally, I'm using the Skinomi skin. I got the full body protection, but only use the face and back. To me, the sides looked awful, so I took them off.
I have been interested in the Tempered glass though. From what I've read for the smartphone Tempered glass protectors, they work well. I'm just wondering how well they do for the "R".
The Skinomi skin has been working out great for me in terms of sensitivity. I had a Zagg skin when I had a Samsung Gear Live and it degraded touch a bit.
ordered mine yesterday, will let you know when it arrives.
Also ordered a tempered glass for my LGR yesterday. Use tempered glass on all my phones and its really great. You don't notice it and the feeling is as you didn't have it, it's also a very good protection and cheep to replace if it got a scratch
I'm also currently using a plastic screen protector - keeps my screen safe but does feel a bit off compared to the naked watch (got used to it long time ago though)
but please keep us updated on the tempered glass ones! thanks
@zvieratko: I don't use screen protectors on my regular watch, but that has sapphire glass and won't scratch (wouldn't buy a regular watch with any other kind of glass for exactly this reason - and a luxury watch has it anyways)

Hehe I wish
Don't even have this watch. Currently use a Pebble Steel, and testing out the original G Watch which is also on ebay as I preferred Pebble.
However, I'm very very curious about the battery life on the G Watch R in comparision to the G Watch (where I can't even make a day). I'm curious to know whether the amoled helps dramatically with apps like musicboss on night mode, and also with an always on clockface.
If i can get close to 2 days with my usage, then I'd definately snap this up.

if you can't even make a day with the original G Watch, than the LGWR probably won't last you for 2 full days, but one day should still be pretty safe
Alternatively, have a look at Sony's SW3, should do even better than the LGWR battery wise and the new steel model looks nice too imo
I can't give a comparison to the G Watch, but I actually just moved up from the Pebble Steel. I was going to keep the Steel as my "fancy" watch, but recently sold it. Once I moved to the GWR, I couldn't imagine myself using the Steel anymore...
battery life
I have now had my LGR for several days. I use a watch face called Ranger. It is set to 5 and 3 for the ambient setting. Ranger has several useful settings for timing, brightness, colors, line width, etc. I get just about a day. I am sure if I turned ambient mode off I would get a day and a half.
I am looking for a way to extend the time the watch stays on. It goes off pretty quick if you do not do something. 15 sec. Is all I want. I am also sure that will kill battery life too.

I'm running the G Watch R with IntersectRaven's kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-watch-r/orig-development/kernel-intersectravens-kernel-t2957728
I'm using the watch with:
- Standard brightness set to 1
- True Dark => https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.preiss.swapps.truedarkwear
- Watchmaker/Facer with whatever watchface I want (at the moment this one => http://facerepo.com/app/faces/details/green-black-led-compass-14ad0ebbf1c )
- Always on
And I'm getting over a day of usage with heart measurement ratings every 30 minutes. Or when turning those off easily 2 days.
I need some help. I wan to buy a screen protector or a tempered glass cover for my Moto Z play. It already has a few small scratches over its screen and I would like to prevent more. So please give me links to some which buy online in India. I did found some but the reviews made me doubtful, particularly the fact that some part of screen is left uncovered. so please help me.

The gap is necessary.
I think all 3 Zs can use the same one, a theory of mine, not yet confirmed.
Look at the other forums.
I too am ready to buy.
as i compared tempered glasses on ebay for Z and Z Play, the difference is upper part - they both have flash and front camera but switched between models

Incipio and Verizon (in the US) do a bumper case you can use with Moto Mods.
I use tempered glass, just that the edges are beveled and it will show a slight 'edge'. Same for other glass protectors.

I picked up a pair of Omoton brand tempered glass for $8 on Amazon. They are "meh" at best. First one I missed a spot of dust mid screen, tried to pull to reapply, and cracked the corner. Not totally unusual. Second one went on clean, but had 3 big bubbles - worked their way out after 3 days. Because of the 2.5d taper of the device screen, there's an unattached "ring" around the edge of the screen (maybe 2-3 mm wide) where the protector doesn't fully attach. Screen responsiveness is mildly diminished - rarely causes any serious issue, but missed touches/swipes do happen.
Tempted to pull and run naked, but it's tolerable for now and I like the added protection, since I don't have insurance.

I just got my Sparin screen protector on my MZP, and I couldn't be more satisfied. It's a perfectly molded glass screen protector, and comes with a top notch installation kit and tools. Patience and applying in as dust free place as you can find are key.
I didn't even have bubbles to work out after applying, and the edges stared to stick after just a few times of pushing on them.

Thanks to those of you who suggested the sparin screen protectors.
Got mine a couple days ago, and installed today. Definitely a slightly smaller coverage area than the Omoton I replaced. The sparin does give me a halo of unattached edge still, but it's smaller than the omoton, and most importantly almost nonexistent on the bottom edge - so hopefully won't hook on my pocket and peel up like the omoton.
Nicely packaged, good install kit. Install went fine - 2 good sized bubbles toward one edge initially, but they both worked themselves out after a couple hours.
Screen sensitivity is a little better than with the omoton protector, but still slightly diminished from naked.
Overall, would buy again.

I have just receive the second one.
Good:
- no halo effect.
Bad:
-Does not fit properly, the black part at the bottom is to big and it covers the screen
- Camrea and flash holes doesnt fit either, I had to sacrifice a tiny part of the flash in order to have the camera visible (not a big deal, flash works with no problem and pictures look good)
Here is a picture using a game as reference, on the right part, you can se I have 1228 coins, but in fact I have 12280 so... well a part is lost.
As you can see I tried to place the glass as closest I could to the bottom and you can also see the camera and flash holes, that part its really making me nervous because I really need that to be centered (despite it works great). I have a problem with that, maybe I´m crazy
Well.... for 3-4 euros I paid its not that bad but this glass its not for Z play. I dont know If someone tried on a normal Z.
oh! about the "feeling" its not as soft as naked or using the omoton but its OK (Im just an average user maybe someone find it worst than OK).
I wanted to try the sparin one but here on Spain I cant find it, only Omoton.
Sorry if i made any grammar mistake (I´m still learning! )
EDIT: Added game screenshot so you can see how much screen is lost, not much to be honest and now the navbar looks smaller! (you can see 100% the buttons and its fully operative, maybe this should go the "good" part )
Thats something I really miss from gravity box, making smaller the navbar, the centered clock and the traffic monitor. Im 100% stock right now.
@drvoje : Did you tried the first screen protector you mentioned? how does it look?

Like like that screen protector was made for the Moto Z/force, which have different bezel sizes on top and bottom than the Moto Z Play.
sorry for late reply, at that time that was best protector because it covers most of the screen and its not that expensive... i said that is made for z forse but it can fit at z play (ofc they are not same phones and its not 100% perfect but still better option then most of protectors - which have whole mic/speaker side opened)
now for camera glass protector, first of all i want to say when you install it it stays flat, you will never even notice its there
but when i installed it, dust was bellow and i did not do it right on first try, so now when i take pictures with flash turned on they become white...
now i ordered 2 more, and im expecting them to come soon, so i will install it again and i will let you know
there is no point to send you pictures because you will never know its there on camera
UPDATE for screen protector: I oredered this one, seems like best option:

Zaggs tempered glass revision 2 has been on the money. I've placed this thing on twice. Once when I got it and, the second time, I removed it from my old unit after a screen burn-in replacement, and place it onto my new unit. No air bubbles and the glass feels high quality, comparable to Whitestone sans the complex installation. It sits on the screen only slightly curving to the edge, and it does sit flush without interfering with the edge tab if I choose to use it. It is quite expensive ($50) but imho, it's quite worth it after successful installation. Highly recommend it!

While I agree with you that it goes on nicely you didn't mention that since it doesn't cover as much screen as other protectors and also has black side bars you get a weird effect where there's screen, black bar, rest of the screen which is quite annoying.

yes there are black borders around SP which the top and bottom part aligns with the phone borders, so no issues there. Depending on an individual's taste, the side borders may be of concern. However, I made no mention of any weird effects as a result from the blk borders and / or the edges not being fully covered because I haven't experienced any negative effects thru general use of the phone. I must also mention, that in some apps, i.e. flipboard the first letters of words that display close to the edge of the screen may be partially blocked by the SP borders. But for me that's not a problem, as i don't experience this issue with most of the apps I use on a daily basis.

No I agree with you, I just thought people should know in case they're looking to purchase it. Like you said, 50 dollars is a lot for a SP especially if you didn't know the bars did that and it bothered you. I'll be keeping mine on until something better comes along, if ever.

Agreed!
They at least have an all clear one here with no black bars if you go to the select page, still doesn't look like it goes all the way to the sides https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32852...00_0109&spm=a2g0n.search-amp.list.32852741886

i have tried these, good product in terms of clarity and touch sensitivity. the issue i had was that the vertical edges would easily crack with a bit of pressure as they dont seat on the screen as well as they should.
my current solution for using these is to remove the adhesive backing and reapply with loca adhesiveand cure with uv light.

Tested these a month ago. Cracked two working out bubbles. Glass quality is very bad. One cracked on the right side. The other on the bottom using a fingernail to work out a bubble. No chance that this is good 9h tempered glass. Opened a dispute and got both refunded. My opinion, not recommended.
Not recommended too, to narrow, covering edges with black bars completely.

Not recommended too, same bad glass like the one posted and cutting display on the bottom

ok so i purchased one and it arrived yesterday
while applying it i got some dust stuck under the protector, tried to take it out but it wouldnt move
applied it anyway and its pretty good except for the air bubbles near the curved sides of the screen (and the dust particles)
the protector is really fragile too, it chipped and cracked a corner while working out the bubbles - others have complained that theirs cracked for no reason
other than that it actually feels amazing and is compatible with the ringke fusion
ive contacted support, hopefully theyll send me out a new one
I wonder why they disabled comments in their video?
What's the best between this one and Dome Glas ?
I don't like the cut around speaker - face camera ...
A real full cover for front face is the most beautiful but may be not very good for quality of face camera ???
