Wipe data in recovery that should work for you.

Restart your phone and whilst it's going off hold down the volume down button, this will take you to the bootloaader, once in there, select factory reset using the volume keys and power to select, let it do it's stuff, you will need to set the phone back up once it's back on.

Hard reset cant restore Factory setting

Hi all,
what can i do?
You sure that what you're trying to perform is a hard reset, not a mere soft-reset?
If yes, this is really weird. Try flashing your ROM again.

If you are trying to perform a hard reset and it doesn't work and phone won't reboot, then only other option you have left is to put phone in bootloader and flash stock/cooked rom.
Does phone reboot ok? Are you actually performing a hard reset i.e. turn phone off. Hold down vol up & vol down and then phone on while still holding down vol buttons. You will then be presented with a white screen with text asking you to press vol up once again to restore factory settings.

Have you tried a Hard reset?
As Fallen Spartan wrote : Are you actually performing a hard reset i.e. turn phone off. Hold down vol up & vol down and then phone on while still holding down vol buttons. You will then be presented with a white screen with text asking you to press vol up once again to restore factory settings.
If it doesn't help try to flash a cooked or stock rom but I recommend you to first try the hard reset.

Bootloader is the tri-coloured screen you are getting
If you can get phone in bootloader then you can still flash new rom.
First of all try a hard reset by doing the following:
1. Turn phone off
2. Hold down vol up & vol down
3. Continue to do No.2 and turn phone on
4. You will then be presented with a white screen with text asking you to press vol up once again to restore factory settings.
Once complete if phone still doesn't reboot you will need to flash new rom by doing the following:
1. Turn phone off
2. Hold vol down button only
3. Continue to do No.2 and turn phone on
4. You will be presented with bootloader screen (tri-colour screen)
5. Connect phone to pc and bottom of screen text should change from 'serial' to 'USB'. If this doesn't read cRaCKwHoRe's guide (see link below) as you may need to update pc drivers.
6. Now flash original stock rom from which you have downloaded from wiki. You can find stock roms here. To flash rom you will need to run ruu file from pc (this is rom you have downloaded)
Make sure you only flash original stock rom which was already on your phone. If you want to flash other roms you will need to follow cRaCKwHoRe's guide
I'd recommend reading the wiki so you understand more about the process and you phone
Good luck and keep us informed

Please help me out.

Just in case anyone else has this problem... After u use the "Task 29" your fone will restart on its own, yet it will not go past the first screen. U must take the back off, hold the volume down key and stick the stylus into the "reset" key on the right side of the device. It will go directly to the bootloader screen. From there it will notice the USB connection and you can then install your new ROM.

[Q] Requesting a little assistance!

Okay, so first of all, thanks to all who take the time to actually look at this thread.
The Problem
Okay, so, my little brother has the Galaxy Mini, he set a lock on it (you know the one where you drag your finger to the points on the screen? the 3 x 3 block of circles?) Well, anyway, he forgot his password and has now had his phone "system locked". Anyway, there is an option to sign into his google account on screen though and that would solve the problem, but guess what? Yep, you got it! The little cretin has forgotten his email and password. I tried mine but that didn't work, so I guess it has to be his own.
My question is this: What if anything, can I do to solve this problem?
Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.

Go to Settings, then Power. By default, fast boot box will be checked. Uncheck that box. Then power off the phone and then, power+volume down buttons will get you into bootloader

@samlis
U have to go to Recovery Mode on Note8.... So, do this:
Recovery Mode = Volume Up+Bixby button+ Power button in the same time... Than Do just a: Clear cache and Factory Reset and then reboot ur phone and that is it.

Thanks you very much , please how to know if it's an original
Couple ways: If U can get into Settings, take a look at Software info, than Baseband and than phone... Than, if can take a photo, go to details(right side corner of photo) and ull see details about taken photo- it is 100% best way, cuz itll tell u is it Samsung, what resolution is , exp of photo, etc. it must be 12.2 Mpx(12), about 4 mb, 1.7f, etc. If u can not, well, take a GOOD look at YouTube video comparations between Original Note8 and Fake one.
ADB ways too, connect phone with PC and from ADB and Fastboot folder(if u can do that,m cuz u said that u can not go to any of modes), but if u can connect it and read from ADB adb-devices, which one is urs...

Thank you I will see:good:
Now....
Turn on your Android phone and connect it to a USB port on your computer. Type “adb shell” and press “Enter.” When ADB connects to your device, type “--wipe_data” and press “Enter.” Your phone restarts in recovery mode and restores Android to factory settings.
And that is it
