hello xda members, i would like to know which is best data management tool available for android xperia z, actually hell lot of data is getting used don't know how, i guess its some system app which is using it, is there is anything available paid or free which can restrict data usage to some limited apps which i want ? & monitoring which particular app is taking how much data ?
thnks, waiting for the reply
Data usage under Settings menu should do the tricks.
I tend to trust OS built-in monitor, rather than a sluggish app or soever...

to stop data use from app just go to "data usage" in settings then select an app that used data then scroll down little you will find a box. Just tick it. If you want to do it for app the apps go again to data usage then press the 3 dots menu botton then you will find restrict background data. Tick it.

Hi all!
My question sound's like this...is there any app (payd or not) which definetlly do his work? I mean, when you tick the app which you want to kill for a defined period of time, the app truelly kill that app pour a la long free memory espace. Get it?
The ideea is that when you want to make an app never be active, this app which I want to know, to help you.
Lets take an exemple : the "Phone" app. It remains in phone memory ram and consumes it, and I can't get rid of it.
Hope somebody understands what I have written

The important apps will reappear no matter how many times you kill them.
And talking about the task killers, android has its own task management system and it is advisable not to use the task killer apps..

Ok then, but is it normal to have on jb less than 70 free memory?! :|

'Free' memory is wasted memory. It's part of Linux memory management. You should only worry if apps go slow or something.

I use App Quarantine to lock/freeze apps I dont use often, if I want to use the app I locked just unlock it from the list just easy & simple in use. This is the app u was searching for . It really does the job. Check playstore its free
I kinda face same problem for example my WIFI is off and my 3G is also off I am not using what's app, viber, facebook at that moment but still I see these apps on background and they are consuming my phone's ram. I stopped them and somehow they comeback again.

Answer for you is also App Quarantine
short answer, no.
Specifically the one in this screenshot http://imgur.com/THpg57A
I like to toggle mobile data on/off as needed and this is incredibly annoying.
Thanks .
Just go to setting>data usage, adjust the data warning line(yellow)

That's not it, the warning has nothing to do with that. It's specific to Sony devices.
Download the app elixir2 open it up and select system apps. Go to phone and select view details, scroll down to services and search for DataTrafficExceptMmsNotifier and disable iz
Thanks, worked perfectly for the notification when disabling data.
Now I just need a way of disabling this popup when data is enabled and I'll be happy.
Hi, I don't know why, but my android system sent a lot of data: over 150mb for day!
Actually I'm using watchdog pro. how can understand what app is sending this data?! The sing that is warring me is that all this data is sent, not received!

On quick option is to go in settings and restrict background data , another is to dsable syncing accounts, and another is to disable 3g 4g hen you don't use it (beter battery),
Now if you can't do that then another way is to reset the system and test apps at a time, those are the easy way's to have a lower data usage. If that is a no then you just need to go on google play an write 3g data usage manager and use one of the programs from there. If you use a program like Facebook , you may have a bg usage from that, and some wrong (bad) software that you download may have a big impact on data usage (look at application in memory and in cache and see what apps you got active).

hi.i have the same kind of that problem in the same rom but my RAM not go to 0!!! i get sometimes 400mb free RAM space. but i use app called ZDBOX root task killer its useful and the best part its FREE go her and get it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zdworks.android.toolbox
the best way to use is: install the app > go to your launcher > hold empty place > add ZDBOX TASK KILLER widget > click on the widget NOT KILL ALL BUTTON!!! > click on gear button (settings) > turn off KILL ALL WHEN SCREEN LOCK and turn on DISPLAY SYSTEM PROGRAM > click on back button > uncheck CRASHMONITORSYSTEM SERVICE and XPERIA HOME and OVERHEAT CONTROL and select all other system apps > click on KILL SELECTED button NOTE: the app will freeze for 15 seconds when you click kill all button BUT DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING WHEN THE APP FREEZE BECAUSE THATS NORMAL
you will get up to 1.20GB free ram space:good:
hope that helped you because thats helped me

I installed clean master app now and i dont see that app showing ALL SYSTEM APPS!!! So please use ZDBOX!!! And you will see all system apps ITS FREEE!!!! But dont worry that will not eat your phone!! And grant root access and do what i told you before and dont kill app called CRASH MONITOR SYSTEM SERVICE or that will turn off your phone automaticly
I have the same problem.
maybe some guys just didn't understand what we tried to explain.
I list how to simulate the problem in my phone(android 4.3 101 version):
1.restart the phone,and I got 400MB free RAM;
2.normally use my phone in about half a day, open dictionary/web/twitter/facebook/news app etc.
3.I got 0 free RAM. no matter I clean background apps or not, all background apps were force closed. and some apps that have services restart itself spontaneously, keep free RAM to 0MB.
4.at this point, every time I get back to the launcher, the launcher need to reload. and my phone is kind of overheat and laggy.
I don't know the way to monitor what exactly eats free RAM(all apps has been closed, and I don't get any free RAM).
Hi, I am on Stock with latest update. I have uninstalled / disabled all unnecessary Apps to save battery. I am usually switches off GPS, Wifi, Data, NFC & Bluetooth if it is unnecessary. I am getting 3 Hours Screen time with 2 Days backup with lite usage.
Any other tips to save more battery Please.
Any unnecessary Systems Apps those can be desabled to save more battery in locked bootloader mode?
