I'm s-off/rooted on stock 3.05.651.6. It started happening after I updated to the first KitKat ota, downgraded to shipped stock, then took the ota back up to 3.05.651.6.
Since then, I get total network drops. It will even disconnect my Wi-Fi when it happens. I'm including a screenshot of one of the error messages I get when it happens.
Can someone please tell me why this happens, or how to fix it?

Probably Radio/RIL related. Check if your radio (firmware) matches the one in your ROM.
My Baseband is 1.00.20.1108. Sound right?

BTW, you have GSM or CDMA M7 - which model ID?
I have a baseband of 4T.27.XXXX with Sesne 6 5.11 and absolutely no issues.
CDMA One. Model PN072. Baseband 1.00.20.1108 on Android 4.3, Sense 5.0, and Firmware 3.05.651.6.
Maybe the radio is too new and I should downgrade it to the last prior?

Might be jinxing myself by saying this, but I think the new radio fixed the issue. I still get the error when I get a call though, but that seems normal if on 3g. Here's hoping.

Ok so I've been able to install 2 miui custom roms, but my 3g doesn't work on either one of them. Has anyone else had this problem?

Try Radio 5.08 It worked for me.
Hi. After I rooted my phone, I didn't get any signals on my phone anymore. Only gets "No service".... Tried to wipe everything in the recovery, and such, but without any luck. This was when I was using the Stock ROM. I ended up flashing AOKP that worked, but I missed the HTC camera, and some other HTC stuff, so when HTC released it's version of Android 4.2.2, then I desided to try it again... Choose Revolution HD, so I could remove some stuff during installation, in Aroma.
But then again: No service Can connect to WiFi, but I would love to be able to call and text, so I'm very glad if someone could help me out.
Hi.
Found out that I in a way sorted out the problem; if I activate, then deactivate "Aeroplane mode", then I get service.
The strange thing is that I need to do that on each boot...
Anyone know why this happens? Have wiped. And this, as mentioned earlier, happens on both stock and Revolution HD :/

I would investigate the options of flashing an RUU it sounds like a radio issue

Probably, but isn't it strange that this happened when I rooted my phone? Then I didn't flash a new radio.... Or a new ROM. :S

this happned to me today, flashing stock 2.24. no idea how to get over it.. have you managed to do anything about it?
Nope. But I will try to go back to stock again Several times a day I have to enable/disable "aeroplane mode" because the 2G/3G network stops working, and when I reboot I don't even get a signal for GSM. Enabling/disabling aeroplane mode works each time, but so annoying!

Hi, I got a One international bought in Germany but I'm using it in Italy with the latest radio.
I don't use my carrier connection so much, but when i use it i notice always some problems..
When I turn on the connection, it initially works but after some minutes it gives some problems because it remains with the H symbol but there is no data transfer so i can't do anything.
It doesn't depends on where i am cause i have the same problem wherever I go.
The only way is to turn on-off airplane mode or reboot the phone, or wait some minutes till the connection decides to get back.
Help me please :crying:
Umh, are you using the right apn of your carrier?

Flashed a the new radio, then pushed the latest firmware after having data drop off issues or no data in good signal areas. The radio flashed fine. And pushing the firm thru fastboot had no errors. But I seem to have worse data connectivity. Anyone know how I check if the firmware took, or did flashing the radio before hand adversely effect the install. I have asked in the appropriate sections, but unfortunately it's gone unanswered.

Maybe because no one else has problems with thr new radio? If the radio was flashed ok it shouldn't jave any problems. You can check your radio version in settings about software info more, baseband.
The latest is 3.62....
If you have problems you can revert to the previous firmware and radio if you are s-off

I mistakenly read the build number. If you know this much I don't see why you can't downgrade your firmware if it's causing issues

i'm not the one with the problem, just trying to help out.sorry if i butted in.
I do have the latest radio, it flashed just fine. However when pushing 3.04.651.2 firmware update, mine did not change, and it was suggested to me that the latest radio would not work correctly unless in junction with the latest firmware. My firmware still reads 3.62.401.1. But I received no errors during the fastboot push. Did I miss a step is what I'm asking. And if I did not. How can I push the firmware again to make for a successful build change. I hope that makes sense

You can flash the new radio without flashing the firmware and it'll work fine. The firmware can only be flashed with fastboot and if the signature of the firmware is broken it can only be flashed if s-off.
Flashing the full firmware won't change anything in your reception, but anyway if you are s-on you should flash the FULL firmware, if s-off you can flash the modified one. Link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46123838

The rom is ported to the sprint variant
Ugh -_- facepalm. Okay, question. Can I flash over the stock rooted Rom that features all the latest Sprint radios and firmware and will that correct everything. Or should I re-ruu and start over

Roms don't contain firmware
Good to know. So should I try to fastboot push the latest Sprint firmware onto this Rom again, or will doing so cause an issue, or do I need to go to a Sprint variant only Rom first?

For some reason, even while on my home Wi-Fi, I get random mobile data drops. Unsure why. I've never had this issue before upgrading to the first KitKat ota then rooting/s-off then taking the ota updates to 3.05.651.6.
Any ideas on what would be causing it or how to fix it?
Sent from my HTCONE using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Double post.
It could be your radio. If ur data dropped less frequently before try flashing an older radio. There is a thread in the general section that has all the radios from all the ota's which u can flash in recovery.
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
I actually just updated my radio back to the most recent after downgrading to the previous one to see if it was that. I get the same results with both radios.

A RUU may fix the problem, back up all data then download and use this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250904
Will this process return me back to complete, unrooted stock, also replacing the custom recovery with the stock one?

Yes it will. It will also wipe everything on the phone as well, so make sure to backup anything important you need from the phone.
Ok Because I don't need to be rooted or any of that stuff as long as the phone works as it should after going back to 3.05.651.6.
I just hope it fixes the issues I'm having. This one in the OP and the wifi notification setting being broken.
Thanks for the help. ^^
Did the RUU. Unsure if it will solve the disconnect issue, but for some reason my wifi notifications issue is still there. I turn on notifications in settings, back out, go back to settings, and the setting is unchecked, though I still get wifi notifications.
Any other ideas that may help figure why this happens, because it is still happening.

have you tried the latest firmware.
I don't like the newest firmware, unfortunately. It just kinda ruined the phone experience for me. Do you think that instead of getting the latest fw that there would be network components or something I can flash to fix it? I think the radio I'm on is the latest, 1108. Don't know what else would be involved with it.
You think the fact that my phone thinks it's a dev phone has anything to do with it?

well, don't know but there was a connectivity fix in the latest firmware, if i'm not mistaken, just flash omj's flashable for s-off users if you're s-off it won't change your phone experience.
Can you point me in the direction of that, please? That sounds like what I'm looking for I think.
How do you mean it won't change my phone experience though?

in the general section look for firmware by BD619, that's the latest
i don't really know what you meant by phone experience, so you can flash the firmware and stay on the rom you have
Just for the sake of clarity, the firmware is different from the android version?
I just wish I could figure out the cause of this happening. It's strange that there isn't more info out there about this particular issue.
