[Q] Boot Logo - Moto X Q&A

I have tried doing fastboot flash logo logo.bin to replace the logo. I have the bootloader unlocked and I wanna get rid of the bootloader warning. I have a Verizon Moto X. I have found a couple threads saying the same thing and it doesn't seem to work. I have TWRP installed if that helps at all

There's a few threads in the themes and apps section. They do work. Just follow the instructions to the letter. Try a few threads if one doesn't work.

[Q] How to root my repaired One returned relocked

Hello,
Returned my One to HTC as the camera wasn't focussing. I sent it rooted with custom ROM. Has been returned repaired and "Relocked" with stock 4.3.
I have then tried to root again but in settings I do not have any developer options and so can't select USB debugging.
After much reading and searching I can't find any info about rooting a relocked phone.
Is it possible to root a "Relocked" phone?
Grateful for any help.
Thanks.
Hahhaha settings/software/ tap build few times and you will have debbuging option

Wifi won't turn on. Sim card isn't being detected.

Hi.
I ****ed up. I tried to restore my Moto X to factory defaults following the instructions found here(http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/restore-to-stock-t2873657) and everything went wrong. My phone was soft bricked. I managed to save it using the windroid tool (flashed recovery, in recovery flashed CM12) but when I booted I couldn't enable wifi and my sim card wasn't being detected.
I don't know what to do. I'm in over my head. I need help. I tried reflashing the rom, but that didn't work. I might suck at searching but I couldn't find anything that worked in the forum. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Jeremy

Why are you following a guide for the moto G? What phone model do you have? If you're flashing moto G images that certainly won't work. If you have the PE then flash the images off the moto web page. The 5.0 images are posted so you shouldn't have issues with downgrading. If you have another model there are guides and images in this, the moto x, forum for that.

Thanks for the reply.
I found the guide in the faq stickied in the help forum. Guess I wasn't thinking. Do you thinking following a different guide will solve my problem?

There are a bunch. Is the bootloader unlocked? What country? What version were you on before you flashed CM? You need to find the images for your particular device.

You can convert your phone to a PE if you want. If not just use his instructions and flash your version you found on the previous link. Then you can flash back to CM.

Here is the guide to rooting the phone.
Just make sure you read it over once or twice before proceeding. If you don't feel confident in your ability to do what the guide says, then I'd advise you not try it as you could easily brick your phone.
Good luck.

Go to the original G4 thread and you will find a guide to show you how to root your phone.

also which ruu is for me (My phone isnt carrier locked) and is cyanogen snapshot decent to use?
Next time you do a factory reset/cache wipe, make sure you unchecked system and internal storage (only check these two if you are going to flash a new rom)

Like said above, your phone isn't booting anymore because you have selected all the partitions when wiping your phone, including your System partition which is your OS. If doing a factory reset, you only need to use the "factory reset" option, not the "wipe" menu.
If you want to flash back the stock rom using a RUU, you'll need to post the output of "fastboot getvar all" (don't share your IMEI or serial numbers) command so we can direct you to the correct RUU version for your phone. If there is no ruu version for your phone then using a custom rom is a good option.
I would stay away from Cyanogenmod simply because there isn't any stable version for the M7 yet.
