[Q] How to get htc Task widget on sense 6.0 - Sprint HTC One (M7)

i've just switched in ViperOne 6.2, sense 6.0 rom, and found that htc task widget is missing..
Tried to grab MyTaskWidget.apk from previous version (viperone 5.8)
Copied to the right directory (system/priv-app) via adb push, set same permissions
That other apps had there and installed. Task widget appeared at widgets menu, but whenever i try to place it on homescreen, it just force closes..
After that, i uninstalled original tasks app from system with titanium backup(thought it was newer version than widget, because size on 5.8 and
6.2 were different ), copied both MyTask.apk and MyTaskWidget.apk from 5.8 and installed with same permissions..
What i got is that even task app force closes now, as widget, and it's totally blanc, without icon..
So, could anyone help me what to do with that to get task and it's widget working on sense 6?
That's my favorite widget after music and i'll have to downgrade to 5.8, if nothing can be done with it..
Any suggestions? Thanks..

No one? I need notes widget too. Plz help devs.

Donut Widget problem

Some of the widgets that worked fine on Cupcake builds just stay stuck in loading phase on enomther's HTC ADP 1.6 DRC83 ROM and Dwang's v1.13 ROM. I have tried the following widgets:
1) The default Calendar widget gives the error message "Problem loading widget".
2) Astrid widget says "Loading..." forever.
3) Weather Widgets says "Loading data..." forever.
4) Pure calendar widget says "Loading data..." forever.
Before I installed these ROM's I wiped and repartitioned the sd card.
How come none of the widgets work?
Thanks.
Yeah, I have the same exact problem. I just installed 4.2.5 today and my calendar widget wont load.... I have not yet tried the rest of the widgets you mentioned, but i will soon.
"Loading data..." forever
Same problem here, installed Cyano 4.2.5 today, all widgets except for Pure Grid Calendar work for me. Pure Grid however, stuck on "Loading data...", no matter what size / settings.

How to add Hero widgets and gapps after an install?

Ive been looking in the threads for a while and find hints and clues, but cannot get a definitive solution to my problem:
Im using CRISPhero.zip rom and love its speed, but miss some google apps like calendar and a few unincluded HTC hero widgets like picture album and calendar.
So I thought Id try at first just to add the calendar stuff:
I have tried pushing Calendar.apk, CalendarProvider.apk, htccalendarwidgets.apk (as well as all their .odex files) to /data/app_s
With the .odex files in the directory, i get a boot loop. Without the odex files, the phone runs fine but no apps or widgets have been added. WHAT AM I MISSING HERE? How do I install these widgets?
a little more info
I should also add that I tried opening each of these .apks in the app manager but simply got a message saying they could not be installed on this device. This IS a HERO rom, so that shouldnt be the issue, I dont think.
sorry, but you posted in the wrong section
Id like to know this as well....but like the post above it is the wrong section to post this.
ok
What section should it be posted in?
get root explorer and place the apks in the correct directory thats the easiest way....but if the apk has an odex with it the apk is no good try dloading another rom & taking the apk from their
being a question...surely it makes sense that it should be asked in the QUESTIONS and answers section
dont start a new thread there, il request this one gets moved
will widgets show up then?

So I'm assuming the appropriate directory for hero widgets /data/app_s, right?
Is there another step after that, like installing with app manager or should the automatically show up on next boot?
Try a newer hero, they are unodexed. Most come with what your looking for anyways.
Some success, but...
I've had some success pushing an UNOBEXEDCalendar.apk and CalendarProvider.apk to /data/app_s. I got them from the KiNgxKxKlair-Hero-Eclair-v1.0.zip Rom. Now the apps are listed in the app menu and work properly!
***BUT*** Gcal won't sync. Under the data sync settings, I am unable to make gCal sync. Contacts and Gmail sync just fine, but even with the calendar box checked, Calendar will not sync.
I suspect this is due to a setting with the ROM (which originally did not have calendar installed), but I have no idea where to adjust this setting.
Any suggestions?

Well, seeing as your pushing eclair apps into what I think is a cupcake build.... I'll let you finish that statement
I assumed the issue isn't with the apps themselves, as they are functioning fine (and I believe the rom is not a TRUE eclair rom, anyway--just bits & pieces). I think the problem is that since the original rom did not include calendar apps, that the calendar sync function has been disabled. I want to re-enable it.

Damagecontrol Clear Weather & Genie Widget

I installed the "Clear Weather & Genie Widget" package using DCupdater on Damagecontrol 2.08.1 to try it out. I made the assumption that I would enjoy the clear weather widget (i.e. I was lazy) so I didn't make a nandroid backup. Turns out I'd rather have the regular ol' stock HTC flipclock/weather widget, but the APK I found for it on some forum results in "application not installed." Does anyone know how I can undo the effects of the package I installed without wiping and making a new Damagecontrol install?

Can't you just push the apk you found for it to the phone and then it is listed as one of your widgets? I don't think you would install it.
adb push xxxx(clearweatherwidget).apk /system/app

[Q] What to back up to get the Google Calendar Widget

Hi!
Would like to ask how to get the Google Calendar Widget. Which apk should I take? I'm using the Galactus ROM and would like to back up the widget which when you open/tap the Google Calendar Widget it opens the SPlanner. I like the SPlanner than the Google Calender. Anyone knows which file is it?
Many Thanks!
You can check out the pertaining file in the option of backup system apps+data in titanium backup. You can install the rom which has that widget and back it up and then flash the new rom and restore
