i897 Charging Port - Captivate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I recently tried to replace the charge port for a Galaxy Captivate i897
and in the process of doing so, the pins on the board got damaged.
Can someone please help me locate or trace where the data pins go.
I will have to run jumper wires to the Charge port.
The Charge battery terminals are ok.
Any comments appreciated.
thanks in advanced

[Q] Soldering pins in car charger.

Hello everybody, I read in a few post some time ago that if I have a 1000mah car charger and i solder something inside it, ti ahould make the phone read that I'M CONNECTED TO a wall charger instead of a car charger, so I can charge up to 1a...now I can't find any pictures or tutorial regarding this procedure, maybe somebody can help me?
Thank you
Basically data- & data+ pins need to be bridged together
pins 2 3 in diagram (4 pin female A)
You can also just mod a lead if you do not want to dissemble the car charger.

bridge cable data pins rather than charger pins is what I meant.
I prefer internal mod of charge units. Some charge units have data pins soldered into board some don't, easier on those with data pins left loose & you can bend them closer together & bridge them together with just solder or if gap too large a bridging wire or off-cut from a resistor leg or similar ...
i didn't feel confindent modifying the charger so I modified the cable joining the green and the white cable. After a while it worked showing "charging AC" insted of USB. thank you!!

[Q] Phone casing prevents proper microUSB plug-in

Help guys. Do appreciate a little help here. I have a phone cover for Galaxy Note and it covers it perfectly except a little problem with the opening of cover at the microUSB area. The hole over the microUSB area is not properly cut. It means that whenever I would plug the microUSB wire into the port during charging, it wouldn't fit perfectly. However, the battery still indicates that it is charging eventhough the microUSB charging wire is only plugged into the microUSB port halfway.Battery always charged to a 100%. My question is could plugging the microUSB wire halfway into the port damage the phone in anyway while it's charging? Thanks.
Not likely, but there is a chance it might damage the phone. Since it's not properly inserted, some connectors might hit wrong pins, especially when moved.
Probably best to just take the case off for charging.

desoldering braid and remove any old solder from the connector ONLY and replace the jack

Tried to replace I9000 usb connector, but failed

So I've ended up destroying (the charging circuit) my I9000 by removing the usb connector the wrong way. I've followed this guide
but I was to impatient with heating up the usb connector., Because of that the copper pads came along with the pins of the usb connector.
So now my question. Is it still possible to make the charging circuit work?
I've found these two images. Source 1 and Source 2. I don't know if the images are right, can anybody confirm this?
But if I run wires from the pins of the usb connector to the components in the image would it make the charging system work again?
Or are there any other smart solutions to fix this issue?
