Hello, So I'm having a problem with my SD card. Very first time when I purchase the phone I put my sd card into the slot and it got recognized. Later after that after reboot my SD never worked again. I try putting same sd card into other phone and it wasn't working. Possible it got damaged..? Then I try other card and since that none of sd's seems to be working.
Tried to mount sd card in cwm and in phone settings. Can't even see option to mount neither cwm recovery or settings. Got no clue what to do next, I am stuck with one option to bring back the phone to the retailer, but before that maybe there is a way around it?
Any help will be appreciated :good:

remove doom kernel and install the adanced stock kernel by doomlord, I had a similar problem and flashing the other kernel fixed it, there more than likely is a fix for the SD card going missing but you'd have to search to find it.

It only encrypts /data and your internal memory (internal SD) remains untouched, you might have a false sense of security that your files r encrypted but they are not! including all of your photos and videos on your internal memory

Ah, your OP was a bit vague. The others, including me, were thinking that you were talking about the external storage. Have you unlocked your bootloader? Have you succesfully flashed a rom through Flashtool, without modifying any of the options?
My bootloader is locked... I do not was flashing with custom roms... From night,to the morning stop working by himself... I'm flashing stock rom again...with flash tool and Sony Pc Companion and still not work... Its very weird...

So do you think we can't write something to external sdcard, don't you? Here's a simple test, set your camera to store any captured images to external sdcard, and see if it can.

Your solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2687966
Hello everybody!
I have decided that I'm going to unlock my Xperia V's bootloader. Perhaps I will do so this weekend.
But I need some information on all this stuff.
First of all, what are the important things to do before unlocking? Like for example backup TA partition and so on. How do I do these things?
Also, can anyone provide me a failure-proof guide on installing an AOSP rom? I think I want to install this Carbon room that appeared today in the XV forums.
I am currently on unrooted stock 4.3 (had some issues with my recovery some time ago, so I had to reset..)
I would also appreciate a summary of what is NOT working currently in the 4.4 roms, and if Kitkat is already stable enough for daily use on our devices.. (And perhaps also what impact an AOSP rom has on performance in benchmarke etc.)
Also, which kernels do you recommend?
I know, it's a lot of questions, but I just want to make sure I don't brick my phone.. It's the first time for me messing around with bootloader unlocks. ^^
Any replies/ helpful links/ advice are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Ah, I forgot one question...
Does project butter work in 4.4 as well? Is it as smooth as stock 4.3?
Sent from my Xperia V using Tapatalk.
root your phone then use Backup-TA-9.10 to backup TA first then go to http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions and follow guide here. so you can unlock very easy
Don't forget that unlocking your phone also factory resets it so backup important stuff first.

Alright.. And to root I'll have to go back to 4.1..
So, is this order correct?
-Optional Backup (don't know how to backup my apps without root tho. :/)
- Flash 4.1 ftf
- Root with Doomlord
- Backup TA
- Unlock BL
- Flash CM kernel (by the way.. How? i have never used this fastboot thing.)
- Enter recovery
- Flash rom zip
Still need some information about these kitkat roms, guys.. Any experiences? Any replies to my questions in op?

Just check the 'Original Development' section. Whatever ROMs people like is down to personal preference/requirements, so we mostly suggest to just try them out yourself

There is no original development section for XV, but I checked several of the kitkat roms' threads.
The people there are complaining about bad standby time.. And that the roms are not suitable for daily use.
Would you agree that kitkat is not yet ready?
I don't care about minor bugs, but that bad battery life or a not working camera (just an example) would not really encourage me to install 4.4

II can't install the xposed framework on my device. It fails to install anything. I tried installing it through TWRP recovery, but only the .jar got installed, the app_process won't install no matter what I do. PLease help. everything is stock rom. Rooted, LOCKED bootloader.
ADDITIONAL,
I also cannot create a backup for my rom in TWRP.. It fails when backing up system. but I checked the TWRP folder, it has files in it even the system. So is it really backed up and the message that says "FAILURE" is only a bug?

If you reffering to Update via PC Companion or OTA then, Right, you cannot do that, is not recommended as you will lose Root. ...but you can update to .761 Pre-Rooted by NUT, like you already did, same way, download files from HERE.
