Please post your extremely protective case with purchase link and if possible, pictures. At no point should a case be considered "too ugly" if it serves the soul purpose of protecting your phone in tough situations.
I myself am looking for a very protective case, but can't justify the $60 price tag on the otter box defender. I plan on doing some boating, hiking, and other outdoor activities this summer, and the old gnex deserves a break from being my stunt phone ?

Just got it from Amazon. Full protection I ordered the defender and beetle this one is slimmer than both. Really good grip and the dust protector flaps actually plug into the ports. It is also military spec approved. I don't have one with the phone in it yet and plastic screen protector is still on. I plan to remove the plastic because I have the nilkin glass. The case is not as heavy as the other two I have. Volume buttons are also easy to press and ir blaster is exactly the same as the otterbox

The Duzign case you can purchase from amazon or eBay. One of the least expensive cases I own, but I use it all the time. The case is identical to the Cruzerlite Spi-Force for half the price and the TPU liner is awesome.

Good luck with your search; I'm sure you'll find something suitable.
Body glove. Very slim but good protection.

When I saw the thread I thought the case was a bit of a gimmick, but once I got myself one from Amazon Warehouse and tried it myself I was surprised how good it is; thin but offers a decent amount of protection, also the grip is much better than say the Diz which I also have
what case are you guys using ?
I am using the samsung's official s-view case and I dropped my phone the other day and now i have a dent on the top and bottom outter corners on the metal frame since this case does not protect it well....
i am looking for suggestions for a thin case that covers the body and have s-view window...
any suggestions ?
Spigen bounce for me. Its thin and form fitting around all the corners. Only problem is 2 color choices, black and grey (light black).
Costs more than a generic tpu case but it looks and feels better.
I just ordered a spigen neo hybrid car from Amazon for 24$ (10 bucks cheaper than oem) it looks sick. I'll let you know how I like it on Monday. I got the yellow lined one

So I got my case yesterday. It's looks okay, not as good as I was hoping (I got the yellow banded one)
The aux port is obstructed by the thickness of the case. I have to remove the case to use in my car.
The buttons move in place, and are audible when moving the phone.
It makes the phone even slippier
Would not buy again

Any idea what case to get that will protect the screen from getting damaged????
It's fake metal around the edge..aka plastic. I have the neo hybrid but it adds a Lotta bulk. I got naked
sEnt from thE noTe 3
Im using otterbox defender.

Using the UAG Scout.. not as bulky as otterbox but great protection. On sale for about $30 right now on Amazon.

I could have told everyone about the spigen neo hybrid from my experience with their S4 case. It's one of the most overrated cases on the market, I'm not sure why people love it so much.
It looks and feels much cheaper in person than in pics and it makes the phone much bulkier and wider than it needs to be. And it's ridiculously overpriced for what it is.
Thumbs way down, I will never buy a spigen again.

If you want a fairly inexpensive no frills case, check out the one from Caseology. I got one for $3.50 on a deal from slickdeals and it's a great case with decent protection for the price. Even at the regular $8.50 price I would say it's well worth it.

Cool. What about screen protection??
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
I'm using an iSmooth screen protector. Application was the smoothest of any screen protector I've used so far - but I don't know how much of that is just practice applying them. The screen looks beautiful, with no rainbow patterns, and grease resistance is good (the Spigen ones I used before on my original note, I had a harder time of applying, and both Crystal and Oleophobic ones accumulated grease like nobody's business, particularly the supposedly oleophobic one, and the crystal had slight rainbow patterns visible in the right light).
As for cases, I'm not using one; I don't like the added bulk from them - I instead used Sugru to mold little bumpers directly on the corners of the phone. The corner around the S-Pen is kinda tricky, since there's what looks like a mic on the long side, and very little space between the pen and the speaker on the bottom. I used 3 little pieces of sugru around there. I also put a little bumper below the volume rocker, so I can quickly find the volume buttons when the phone is in my pocket. The sugru comes off cleanly (scrape it off with a fingernail). It lasts pretty well, but it will need to be redone at least once during a two year contract, more if the phone is handled roughly.
Thoughts on the S view case?
I think Im mostly concerned with the glass cracking than anything else...
Right now i am rocking the Incipio DualPro case and am waiting for a case from Cuzerlite to come in.
I got the Tudia Melody and it's perfect. 8 bucks to boot. It adds a nice grip to the phone and covers up the chrome lining on the front. You know the part that looks terrible even with a minor scuff? No screen protection except for the raised edges.

If you want protection and don't mind added bulk the Otterbox Defender is the only way to go. I personally have large hands and prefer the thickness and bulk the Defender adds. Plus you can throw it at a wall and it will not hurt the phone. The built in screen protector is hard plastic and will protect from most surface scratches. Of course direct impacts to the screen will almost always break it on large device like this and there is no case or protector that protects from direct impacts. So for screen protection you just have to take what you can get.
For me the Ottorbox has been the only way to go for my last five phones.
@Solarenemy68 while last year me would agree with you, I found another case company called trident with a similar design. There a bit cheaper too (price not quality!!) long story short, mine came today and it is amazing. Has a built in metal kickstand. (Had a bad experience with my last phone cuz of otterbox's customer service. So tried something new)

I had a trident case for my LG phone.. To be honest I did not like the finish or quality of the plastic. The plastic looked too military.

Hows it feel when the phones in it? I have the defender and like it so far, newer defenders are way better to me. But i wouldn't mind having different case i can use.
It feels solid around the sides with a softer back that's recessed. I also have the defender. I like both this one is just slimmer.

.... Cause it's slippery..... My hands are not small..... But I think with a case on it it will not fit anymore in the pockets..... So I plan to carry it without any protection.... So I say in the headline IT HAS A SLIPPERY BACK... So friends if there any good issues out there?!
Cheers from here

Bear motion is a pretty slim case. Way more grippy than the slick back. I hate cases and never drop phones but this thing is slippery. Case adds minimal bulk.

Flygrip
Bear motion is what I use but if u are looking for good protection too I would not choose bear motion
Slickwraps / dbrand
Leather back

Slick wraps sells a Horween leather wrap and it adds minimal thickness.
Diztronic Full Matte Flexible TPU Case, fits my sweatpants pockets but sometimes it pops out so make sure you keep it safe.
the case gives my phone a great look and protection.
http://www.amazon.com/SpigenĀ®-Perfe...8&qid=1424060642&sr=1-3&keywords=nexus+6+case. People who look at my phone and hold it tell me I should get a case.

I agree with you, I think sometimes people get caught up with big brand names and under estimate how good a cheaper case can be. For me this case feels like it costs more than it does.

Put my Beetle Pro on yesterday. Pretty amazing. I like that it comes in two parts so that if you have a screen protector you're not prying on it pressing on it. Very sturdy, not as heavy as I thought it would be or as thick Feels nice in the hand

I use this ArmorSuit screen protector. The edges fit under the edges of the Beetle case and I have been VERY happy with it. There is a slight reduction in responsiveness, but that has only meant I don't activate as many links when my finger is only hovering and not actually touching the screen. (The default is too sensitive IMO)
I got this case owing to the fact it seems impossible to get a decent screen protector... I first had the spigen tough armour case as I found it excellent for the gs5, but I have to admit, the supcase unicorn beetle pro provides even more portection while remaining still quite lithe and well fitting
Seriously impressed by it
I would drop any dreams of finding a screen protector for this phone other than a wet install. Anything out there plastic film or glass just doesnt cut it. Trust me ive tried them all....
