Tomorrow I want to sell the phone to a friend so I thought I'll do a factory reset to erase the data on the phone (my phone is rooted). I did the reset from the menu after wiping the sd card and now my phone only boots in CWM Recovery. I tried flashing custom roms but it only enters CWM when I reboot the phone. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the quick reply!
That sounds easy enough, I just have one question: Will any stock rom work or do I have to find a specific one form my carrier and device?
Also , could you point me in the right direction to find a stock rom?

Sure! Do you have a S6500 or a S6500D? If you need to find a stock, just go here and download whatever you need (it has the tools you need in there): http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3 Just select your device, log in, and then you'll be able to download it. Extract it to your desktop and follow the instructions you can find in this forum!
Thank you again, you helped me very much!
I'll try to flash it and report back after.
I flashed the software back and now it's like brand new!
Thanks for the tremendous help!

well you need the stock recovery which is abit scarse at the moment unless you backed up your recovery before you flashed you can flash it back then.

Here you'll find three different ways to get your stock recovery back.
Recently, I've been looking into flashing a custom recovery and a custom ROM onto my Samsung Galaxy GT I9305. However I'm a little confused. The only experience I ever had with this was when I had my old Xperia Play. With that phone, if I wanted to install a later version of Android, I would first have to flash a new kernel for that version, otherwise I would get stuck in a boot loop. That phone also had a locked bootloader that I had to unlock from the Sony website.
My question is, if I want to install a recovery image and a KitKat ROM onto my S3, will I have to unlock the bootloader and install a custom kernel manually? Whilst it's not in any of the tutorials I've looked at, I'm still a little nervous as I almost bricked my Xperia Play by not flashing the correct kernel to it beforehand.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!
I just realised that I should have posted this in the GT I9305 Help board.
Sorry for inconvenience.
Anyone?

No need to flash kernels and bootloaders. You just need to install custom recovery and follow the install steps the dev/ROM your going for has set out.

How were you trying to root it? Restore nandroid backup, if you did one or stock firmware via odin. The battery isn't dead is it? ?

hello everyone
i have a rooted n960f device with the alexndr ROM , since iwant to sell the device i want to unroot it and back to stock .
unfortunately when i trying to flash the stock with ODIN my device boot up without IMEI.
in order to fix that i need to ROOT the device again install TWRP and than install te ALEXNDR rom again.
these is the only way to get the Signal again .
do you have any idea how i can back my device to stock ?
thanks
guys ?
any idea?
please
You most likely just need to flash the correct firmware for your device and you do know there is no way to make the device stock again after rooting, right?

It's not a matter of you don't tell me, i don't know.!
It's a "matter" that before you root your device, to familiarize yourself, regarding the pro's and cons
of rooting.
To do research and then if you don't understand or want guidance regarding a particular issue /
"problem" then ask.!
Bottom line is....
no use asking afterwards if you didn't do your "homework" before.!
Good luck.
