I don't think they would so fast. If gmkv would like to test for us though, it would be much appreciated. Also perhaps an extract of the radio?

What kind of customizations did you have installed before taking the OTA? Were you S-Off with Revolutionary? Did you have a custom recovery installed? We need more info since this OTA just came out today...

So you have the Revolutionary HBOOT 6.13 installed, correct? That is what is preventing the OTA from installing correctly. You need to reinstall CLockworkMod recovery and restore your backup or install a rooted Rom.
Hi!
I have the same problem, az Hiaken_Ace has, after I updated my phone, I get stucked on the green HTC logo screen.

My phone is S-ON, it is non-rooted, it run Sense 3.0 with Android 2.3.5. I have tried factory reset with SD card, and without is. Any ideas, how could I revive my phone?
OTA kills
I have also the same problem, after I updated my phone, I get stucked on the green HTC logo screen.
There are even more Guys in the android-hilfe.de forum reporting this.
Can someone try tacoroot?

Seriously guys, who told you to install this ota? Unless you receive it on your phone, don't install it.
We need more info from the guys who semi-bricked their phones (stucked on the green HTC logo)
Do you have an unlocked bootloader, do you have HTC drivers and adb / fastboot installed on PC, are you still covered by warranty, did you see any errors when the ota was installing, do you have revolutionary hboot installed, can you or do you know how to enter hboot or recovery, are you rooted and finally do you have stock or custom recovery?
Put it all in one post, maybe we can help.

Ok, I received a notification from the phone, that I can download an update. My phone has/had official ROM, and this was an official update, and I thought, that official updates are secure.

My bootloader is locked. I have adb, and htc drivers, my phone is covered by warranty(but if it is possible, I don't want to use it, because in Hungary I have to pay the post fees, and it takes "a lot of time" to get the phone back).
I was working while my phone was updating, and did not watch the full time my phone, but have not noticed any errors.
My phone was NOT rooted, it has S-ON, and I used official rom, as I said before. And unfortunatelly I do not have any recovery images.
Hi All,
I need help for the following issue,
today i got notified by my incredible S that a software update is available,
I accepted and downloads starts, finished, choose install and the system checked the downloaded package, then phone rebooted to start the installation, then a blue android logo appear on the screen along with "!" inside a triangle, and phone was stuck on this for more then an hour before i took out the battery and restarted it and it is now back normal but on 2.3.5
anyone faced this matter and found a solution???
the phone is rooted, unlocked bootloader via HTCDEV website, and all the crappy HTC application uninstalled including htc sense and everything.
any help will be very appreciated,
thanks.
Problem solved:
-relock the bootloader:fastboot oem lock
-create a gold card: http://androidforums.com/desire-s-all-things-root/500543-guide-how-create-goldcard.html
-download the ICS RUU suitable for your phone: http://d-h.st/users/Inferi0r/?fld_id=2601#files
-put the gold card in the phone then run the RUU
DONE

OK, so if you have modded the stock ROM by removing HTC applications and Sense, then that is why the OTA update failed.
To accept and install the OTA you must have all the stock components in place, HBOOT, recovery and all the apps.
Download the stock ice ruu exe from the thread listing in the dev section.
Make a goldcard and then install.
Remember this method I think will work with a compleatly stock phone meaning s-on locked bootloader, no root and no custom recovery. Do this at your own risk. I have a inc s with cid 38, It worked for me.

i have checked your suggested rom but it seems not to work with my S ON hboot version
would it help if i do the following?:
restore all the stock application from titanium backup
and then try to accept the OTA update?
or as naathaanb96 suggested to simply unroot, lock bootloader?
i have tried to unroot using htc tool V3 with no luck: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343114
thanks

As the previous poster suggested, just relock the bootloader and then run the official ICS RUU using a goldcard.
Then since you have unlocked your bootloader before, you can simply use the same unlock_code.bin to unlock the ICS bootloader and then you can add a custom recovery and root the system.

Seems like your phone is rooted do you don't receive any official updates. You can boot in boatloader and see if your phone is unlocked, shutdown your phone and start your phone by holding power and volume down button at the same time. See what it says there, probably "unlocked" and s-on or s-off. After that chose recovery and see which recovery you have.
Go to settings - About Phone - Software Info and post what it says.
The device you bought was not new. It was unlocked and had or has a custom recovery installed.

It looks like it is a development model (not DEV edition), which should not be sold anyways.
You can root and flash custom ROM, but I highly doubt that you will receive updates for a development model.

Can it be revert back . While in bootloader I saw couple of options of rebooting or to factory setting , wipe out n all.. will it be helpful .

Well since your bootloader is already unlocked and you got the custom recovery, you can always flash the latest custom rom that has Android 4.2 or 4.3. Otherwise you can bring the phone back to stock if possible. They're how to guides on how to do that on XDA.

Well your bootloader is still 1.44, so you still have the option to get S-Off, which would allow you to remove TAMPERED, and also allow you to return completely back to stock using a RUU.
How familiar are you with all this? I would recommend reading some of the guides, but if you do want to get back completely to stock you'll probably need to S-Off.
Can you post "fastboot getvar all" (and remove your IMEI and serial number before posting).
No updates

Factory reset will just reset your current Rom. So you have two options, 1 flash an other rom, which is already 4.3 and learn what a custom Rom can do for you, welcome to xda or 2, you can revert to stock version by flashing the right RUU for your version, but you need s-off to do this. You should do this now your bootloader is still 1.44. Anyway whatever you gonna do, you will have some homework to do!
thanks nkk and farang..

First you need to install the HTC drivers (http://d-h.st/4LL), and adb/fastboot sdk (http://d-h.st/ja1) credits to @vomer; please read through the first part of his guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2365506
Once you've installed HTC drivers, and unzipped adb sdk to C:\ADB, reboot your phone into bootloader -> FASTBOOT, connect your phone to the PC, FASTBOOT will change to say FASTBOOT USB.
On your PC: "CD C:\ADB" then type "fastboot getvar all" and post results back (remember to remove IMEI and serial number)

OK, that tells us you have a Vodaphone UK version, not Asia, not a problem.
Since you're still on 1.44 hboot, I would recommend to get S-Off, as you will not be able to do that later. Continue followoing vomer's guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2365506 and the original revone thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314582
Do the S-Off, no need to SuperCID at this time.
Why S-Off you ask, it would allow you to run any RUU (upgrade & downgrade) for any country and/or carrier.
Regarding SIM Lock, is your phone tied to any specific carrier at the moment? I assume not, since I dont think you're on Vodaphone UK, so the phone is/should arleady by SIM-unlocked.
Continue and report back, so we proceed with the next steps.

Hi guys, help me, I just brick my htc....
I bought HTC one 802d edition (china telecom with dual simcard cdma and gsm), then i upgrade into latest ROM (online update), and already become jelly bean 4.2.2, after that i was unlock the bootloader, install TMW recovery, everything going smooth..
after that, i try to make S-OFF with moonshine (i've tried before to other my HTC phone, and no problem), i run from the moonshine that for this phone/rom (802d), after a few steps, on the steps that dots (......), after 30 minutes, is not over yet, i think it becomes stuck, so i unplug the HTC from the computer and stop the progress. But after that my phone stuck in HTC logo (the chinese logo after HTC never shows), and what i see in bootloader, the phone cannot find the ROM .... I don't understand what happened, i try to run the moonshine again from condition htc logo, i can run the process normally, but again, stuck in the dots ..., but this time i wait, for almost 1 hour, than there's error in the end.
Since than my phone stuck in HTC logo, but still can go to bootloader or recovery. after that i also tried ROM maximus hd, just like i tried before, still bootloop (the ROM is for HTC 802d), after that i also tried some chinese ROM that base on stock ROM, but always fail to install on TMW...
right now my phone still TAMPERED and S-ON ...
i'm trying to recover to stock ROM, (already download from htc1guru.com), but still have no idea how to install the stock rom to the phone...
Please help me how to fix this ... Already looking in the forum, but still haven't find the answer/solution...
Well if you can get into your bootloader and its just getting stuck in a boot loop youre not bricked

if your bootloader is unlocked... you can flash a custom recovery with "fastboot flash recovery [recoveryfilename].img" then you can push a ROM to your device in the recovery mode and flash it from there or you can use a RUU and with a RUU you don't need to worry about custom recovery.
