[Q] HTC One Google Play Flash - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys,
I am looking to flash my phone to the Google play edition rom and to also have OTA. I have found this guide on how to do it here.
http://htc-one.wonderhowto.com/how-...with-bootloader-recovery-ota-updates-0148068/
These are the current version numbers.
Android Version
4.4.2
HTC Sense version
5.5
Software number
4.19.401.11
HTC SDK API level
5.68
Kernal version
3.4.10-g7fe1bad [email protected]#1 SMP PREEMPT
Baseband version
4A.25.3263.21_10.38x.1157.04L
Build number
4.19.401.11 CL304164 release-keys
I am sure these instructions work, but i am not sure if they was created to work with the version of the software i have an my phone now? Or it was created to work with what was on the HTC one when the article was created. I hope that makes sense!
Thanks for all your help!
Richard

I installed the Google play edition on my AT&T HTC One (M7). However, I am using the pre-root firmware, not the stock firmware form Google. Overall speaking it works very well, and I think the procedure is to flash it freshly, so what original firmware inside the phone should not matters.
Earlier today Android 4.4.3 update notification popped up on my phone, but I prefer to wait for pre-root edition, or at least to confirm there is a way to root it before click the update.

Answer is right under your thread. You will loose all your data. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358781

[Q] HTC Dev edition not able to install paid apps

Hi,
I cannot install paid apps on my new HTC one;
Here is the error MSG: "Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card"
I was reading some posts in different forums and most of them they were talking about a bug in HTC one dev. edition, so I checked mine and I found out that I bought a dev. edition not a normal one (for 950$) :crying:
Anyway, is there any fix for this problem?
Can I change from dev. edition to normal one? How?

[Q] Can't receive 4.2 OTA update

Hi guys,
I'm a proud owner of a HTC One M7 International Unlocked U.S and so far I coudn't upgrade it to Android 4.2 via OTA (it's still running the stock 4.1). How can I proceed in order to get it running version 4.2? Is it possible to update it to Android 4.2 via USB? Is root needed in order to do that? Thank you very much.
What software build are you on at the moment?

EddyOS,
The software number is 1.36.599.1 and Android Version 4.1.2
Going by this thread (which I found by searching, something you should become familiar with ) there seem to be other on the same build saying there are things missing:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43272550
Should point you in the right direction
This another thread is not related to the updates but it helped me understood this version is for LATAM (Mexico) and probably it's the cause I'm not receiving the update via OTA. Any options left?

[Q] Can I update firmware?

I have the T-Mobile US edition of HTC One. Currently I have firmware 3.09.401.1 installed on my device. I know that is a WWE firmware and it compatible with the T-Mobile model. I was wondering would I be able to install the 3.22.1540.1 firmware, as it is for the Dev Edition. Would it be compatible with my device?
Thanks in advance for any information on this.
You need to be S-Off, it should work, but your firmware is already new enough. Do you have any specific problems?
I don't have any problems with the current one at all. Are there any improvements in the newer one?
I have the new version, had the 3.09.401.1. No changes except new hboot which has the developer edition warning on it when it boots up

Help; problem with Mobile Data on certain apps after updating 5.0.2

Android version: 5.0.2
HTC Sense version: 6.0
Software number: 7.21.707.5
HTC SDK API Level: 6.55
Phone Model : M7
After updating to the above updates, I can't load Instagram, Google Search and Pokemon Go. Facebook and certain website is okay though. I received H from my network provider.
But it works fine if I'm on wifi. Already reboot the phone few times. Haven't tried the factory reset. Should I?

You might want to fully update your phone, you're not on the final version, latest one is 7.21.707.51. That might fix some problems
