as everyone knows the htc made the release of sense 6.0 for unlocked m7.
what it takes to get this update even the htc? is mandatory to have the sense or can have another android software?

The update is available to a phone with stock recovery and stock rom and it is being released by the carrier. The Google Edition and Developer Editions were released by HTC.

Yes, you can not upgrade to Sense 6 with a stock Google Edition phone. Yesterday, they did release Kit Kat 4.4.3 update for the Google Edition and you should be able upgrade to it.
If you want to convert your phone to a Sense 6 phone, it will require S-OFF, change in MID & CID and an RUU of the version you want to change to.

Just what is it you want to do with your phone? Please post a copy of your "fastboot getvar all" without serialno or imei.

What carrier are you using in Portugal? Maybe, we can find a RUU for it.
Based on this info you do not have an international unlocked version, you have an at&t device, that is unlocked it would appear...

Your misunderstanding...just because your using it on vodafone does not make it an international device...this is my at&t device getvar all results... You do not have an international phone, you have a us att carrier phone that is unlocked to work on your carrier...what I have told you is correct way to get sense 6 based on your device.

Since you are S-OFF, why don't you change your MID & CID to the international phone version X.XX.401.X and PN0710000? You can get a TWRP nandroid from [Full Stock Backup] | 5.11.401.10 | Twrp_Backup | Ota | M7_U & M7_UL. @TeHashX even included the OTA for the backup. So, you could download the KK Sense55 4.19.401.11 from here and flash it first, then flash the OTA. You could go SuperCID for the CID.
Can you please post the firmware.zip from 5.12.502.2. I am also on AT&T, but am rooted ansd can't download it from phone or find it online, yet. I'd like to add it to the no red/dark bootloader thread. THanks in advance. I'd also like to try the new radio.

I know there are a ton of these type of threads but every bit of information I can find seems to be little old or not quite match my needs.
My phone was Bootloader unlocked, HBoot upgraded, SuperCID, S-OFF, ViperOne 7.1 installed, Firmware Upgraded, TWRP installed
So far I have only reset my CID to the original value of HTC__001.
I'm completely lost now whether I should be flashing a stock RUU or stock Nandroid from here and I can't seem to find what would be the correct.

don't flash stock recovery and lock bootloader till you have removed Tampered and set to phone to Locked ..not relocked

My apologies, I really should have made it clear my intention was to restore stock for HTC warranty.
So now I'm back to where I was the OP looking for the right RUU.zip or Nandroid.
It seems that there isn't a RUU.zip for modelid: PN0710000 / cidnum: HTC__001
There's two possible Nandroid's however:
M7 CWM Nandroid Backup / CID HTC__102 / 1.29.401.12 (DE Unbranded - Thanks to FordSierra88)
↑↑↑↑↑______Also compatible with the following CID's:______↑↑↑↑↑
HTC__001

[/QUOTE]
Is there a right / wrong choice here? The phone was originally completely unbranded if that makes a difference.
[EDIT] - Actually I see the latter has been noted as damaged
I went with the first one in the end and completed all other steps.
My phone was Bootloader unlocked, HBoot upgraded, SuperCID, S-OFF, ViperOne 7.1 installed, Firmware Upgraded, TWRP installed

So I've completed:
Bootloader locked, Tamper removed, Hboot degraded and stock firmware restored, CID restored, Stock ROM restored, Stock Recovery restored.
I believe I just need to go S-ON now but it's late so I'll review with a fresh head tomorrow and make sure.
Thanks @clsA for all your help!
Hello all!
I'm an M7 user for almost 2 years and today I bought a used one for my girlfriend.
It came with the Viper one 7.01 rom.
This is way to complicated for my girlfriend and misses some standard stuff that she wants (can't even find the play store on it).
So I decided to get it back to a stock HTC version with Sense 5.5 (and update to 6.0).
I've now been busy a whole night, but I can't seem to get it to work. When using the RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_HTC_Europe_4.19.401.9_R_Radio_4A.23.3263.28_10.38r.1157.04L_release_353069_signed_2-1.exe file, it comes up with an 158 error. And when I try to flash it with fastboot and the Guru_Reset_M7_2.24.401.8.zip file, it gives me error: FAILED (remote: 24 parsing android-info fail)
I also tried with a Vodafone file (Guru_Reset_M7_2.24.161.1.zip), because the Phone came with a Vodafone bill. But this didn't work either...
I've managed to get it S-OFF with rumrunner and tried it Locked and unLocked. The tampered line is gone.

I just want this Phone to have the latest stock HTC one rom with sense 6.0, nothing more (and preferably future ota updates, if this is even possible).
But untill now I just can't flash any other rom.
I'm probably missing something and really hope one of you have the answer.
Gonna get some sleep now and try more tomorrow...

flash the 4.19.401.9 firmware first then flash the ruu. Its a well known issue of 4.xx.xxx.x RUUs, you have to flash the firmware first.
also check your MD5 to make sure your ruu isn't corrupted.
Thanks for your quick reply.
I flashed the firmware, it's now got the dark boot bootloader with firmware 4.19.401.9. But I still can't flash the ruu (exe file with correct md5). Comes back with an error 150.
Phone still boots up normally into Viper One 7.0.1
Also tried a different file download, didn't work.
Tried different computer, didn't work.
I'm gonna try some more stuff, but any help would be appreciated.

EDIT:
Well, I just managed to update with the RUU Zip M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.16_R_Radio_4A.14.3250.13_10.33.1150.01_release_318486_signed_2_4_decrypted.zip" file.
Now to see if I can get it to update to the latest version...
EDIT 2:
SUCCES!!! It installed the ruu fine (with bootloader locked) and it's now updating ota!!!
Thanks for the help...

Thanks for your quick reply.
I flashed the firmware, it's now got the dark boot bootloader with firmware 4.19.401.9.

Why? You must flash the firmware that come with the RUU, not a modded firmware with the black bootloader...

With s-off you don't need to relock the bootloader to flash a RUU. Anyway glad to know that your problem is solved.
Well, I'm not that advanced with flashing and modding bootloaders, firmware and ruu's...
So I searched on the 4.19.401.9 firmware you told me to install and the only one I found was that one with the black bootloader. That's why I used it
Are you saying that if I would have flashed it with the firmware that came with the ruu, it might have worked right away?
But I only had the exe ruu file, so would that mean I had to extract the firmware from it, or download the zip somewhere?
As for locking the bootloader... I understood that if I want to get official HTC ota updates, that it has to be locked. Could have misunderstood, but at least it works great now and my girlfriend is happy as ever.
Can i use the unlocked/developer lollipop RUU on my unlocked m7 from the US htc site? (cant post link yet) Im in Europe on european unlocked version (if that is a thing)
Cheers.

Only way you can use the developer edition RUU is to go s-off using sunshine at $25, however as you are on the latest 401 RUU already, as long as you are fully stock, you should get the lollipop update anytime soon, its already started rolling out across the 401 unlocked devices, just keep checking for updates over the next few days.

no, thats dev edition 7.17.1540.7 also unlocked, yours will be something like 7.15.401 the 3rd set of numbers is whats important to you, it specifies carrier / region.
The first number is RUU version, cant remember the 2nd set, 3rd is carrier / region and the 4th set is build number
I need a T-Mobile or international stock rom sense 5.5 KitKat to to flash on my M7. I now have the AT&T unlocked and rooted but I want to make it a fully functional tmobile device with ota updates and mms and stuff (cause as of now mms don't work, but everything else does. It's a well known issue)
So of you could point me in the direction of a stock sense 5.5 KitKat rom I'd be very great full.
PS: I don't want lollipop. I don't like it. Personal preference.

Is your APN correctly set? Most of the time, MMS issues are only caused by bad APN. Also caused by add blocking apps like AdblockPlus.

Post the output of ''fastboot getvar all', don't post your imei / serialno.
Btw may I ask you why do you want to have ota update support if you want to stay on Kitkat?

and as for the why of wanting otas but wanting to stay on kitkat, I guess it is just for my own sanity, knowing that the rom I have has the capability of recieving an ota is something I'd prefer, but I guess I could settle for a stock rom on the latest kitkat.
Thanks for your help (and sorry i took so long to reply)

Yep, you'll need s-off if you want to flash a t-mob ruu because you will need to change your AT&T CID to T-Mobile and your MID to PN0710000. Btw why the MID (modelid) line is blank? It should currently be PN0712000...

Ok thanks. It's blank because I thought that was one of the things you told me not to post, sorry. So after getting s-off and flashing the t-mobile ruu, will I still be rooted? Also, where might I find a t-mobile ruu for KitKat? Or a similarly stock rom, because I just mainly want to get rid of the AT&T
Thank you

After flashing a ruu, you will not have root anymore, you'll have to re-flash a custom recovery and supersu binaries.
Hey gang,
I have a HTC One (M7) with very old firmware (Build: 5.11.401.10 CL334166) and running 4.4.2 using a custom ROM (ARHD 71.1). I want to update my firmware to the most current but am uncertain of the following items:
1. Can I update my firmware in one go (i.e. my current to latest) or do I have to flash each successive update?
2. All in handset or do I have to use ADB?
3. Can I do it without wiping data?
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

You want to update the firmware only or you also want to update the software (rom stock/custom) at the same time?
Post the output of "fastboot getvar all" (remove imei/sn before posting)

I'll be paying close attention to this thread, because I'm a knucklehead who NEVER updated his firmware since he got the phone from AT&T around the time of the Boston bombing, but has repeatedly flashed updated ROMs (currently on ARHD 31.5), and when I tried 93.0 this weekend, a number of issues came up, so I went back to 31.5, and figured I need to do the right thing and update my firmware before trying 93.0 again.
So, I've got the same question #1 (Can I update my firmware in one go (i.e. my current to latest) or do I have to flash each successive update?) as the OP, with the added bonus of not being sure what my current firmware is.
Here's my output:

Bootloader 1.44 + the AT&T CID (CWS__001) suggest a 1.xx.502.x firmware. The best solution imo would be to achieve S-OFF so you can flash the 7.19.401.2 firmware and you'll be able to use recent custom roms.

Its not normal but its not really important. Its a bug caused by some old TWRP version (can't remember which one exactly) which erase the version number.
