I have a T-Mobile UNLOCKED Galaxy S5 that I am using with my carrier AT&T. My question is, will I be able to download and install software updates?

I think you should be able to. As long as at&t knows it's on their network and it's been put on their network. I could be wrong though, not sure if you would have to get updates from TMo since it's their phone.

You won't get Updates from AT&T those are specific to the G900A, You alos won't get Updates from Tmobile for the device since you are not on their network you won't recieve the OTA notifications.
you mat be able to download the correct OTA for your device from Tmo or samsung but that's the only way.

I did! you have to be able to update to all google android versions 18 months since the phone comes out.

Hello all! So I current have a T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3, but I will be switching over to AT&T soon. I know that T-Mobile will unlock the phone for me, and I am assuming it will work on the AT&T network. My question is when I switch over to AT&T, I will be able to receive the OTA updates for my Note 3 from the AT&T network without a problem, correct? Also, are there specific AT&T apps that I will be able/need to download?

You wont receive updates from att different fw for tmo note 3.

You have to use Odin to flash the t-mobile firmware after you download it, or grab a Sim from t-mobile. Our you can always grab the update.zip if someone is nice enough to package it and flash in the stock recovery.

Does this mean the SM-925V is useless in Mexico?
I cannot seem to pickup LTE and I keep getting "SIM Card is not from Verizon"
I'm trying to use a Telcel SIM card.
Seems I was thinking the same as the above, using something like PingPong to switch.
You need to add the apn manually. Then deactivate notification of verizon service

I have an At&t Note 4 that I am using on ting, which piggybacks off of T-Mobile here in my area.
I am wondering since I cant find much of any custom roms for the at&t variant of the Note 4, if I would be able to install T-mobile Roms? Since I am on T-Mobile towers?

Oh, no, I'm not rooted or anything yet. The phone will be here in a few days.
So I take it the reason why there aren't any at&t roms, is because there is no root and unlocked bootloader? Crap!
OK, Nevermind to this thread. I just sent a return request for the at&t note 4 and I ordered a T-Mobile Note 4. Problem solved.
I have a Verizon S6, Im on Tmobile. I keep getting problems with calls going to voice mAIL. cAN SOME ONE POST A LINK TO THE MOST recent firmware for the TMobile variant that I may be able to flash?
Also, is it possible to root this verizon s6 and run it on Tmobile with no problems?

Pretty certain that if you flash TMobile firmware to a Verizon model you will end up with a brick. Available root for the Verizon Galaxy S6 depends on the build number but root shouldn't be required to run on TMobile if the device is unlocked. The forum is here:
