[Q] Rooted - Update firmware and ROM? - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I'm rooted, on stock, with a custom ROM installed. I'm trying to update to the latest software, and found a thread with the new stock ROM, rooted, and an altered firmware update, with hboot, boot, and recovery removed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2766604
My plan was: update firmware in fastboot, then flash the ROM in recovery (I'm assuming only cache wipe is needed, since it's stock).
I tried to start by updating the firmware, using the instructions in the thread, but am getting the error message:
writing 'zip'...
(bootloader) zip header checking...
(bootloader) zip info parsing...
(bootloader) Read zipped android_info fail
FAILED (remote: 24 parsing android-info fail)
finished. total time: 2.751s
I can't figure out how to get past this, and the thread is locked, so I can't ask there. Any help in updating ROM/firmware would be greatly appreciated.
Edit... is it because I'm S-On?

Yes it's because you are s-on.

[Q] Unsuccessfuly unroot - Main Version is older!

I have serious trouble.
I tried unroot my phone but when I tried to install original ROM, I got message about fail. I rebooted the phone into recovery and restored nand backup.
I tried newer ROM. This rans longer, updated HBOOT from 1.09 to 1.13 and removed root (now I have S-ON) but then I got error "Main Version is older!" Now I can boot only info boorloader. When I use ROM in file PG32IMG.zip I got error message again.
Can anybody help me? I don't need S-OFF but I need working phone
HTC Incredible S, previous ROM was CyanogenMod 7.1 nightly, HBOOT was 1.09 but now is 1.13.
Then I try use alpharev I have no connection to phone. Driver manager says that device is working properly but then I got message that it was not recognized.
I really need drivers to connect phone un fastboot and made S-OFF again or install stock ROM (this rather). How I can recognize the right ROM?
Thanks!
P.S. I looked into forum but all solutions are for dirrerent phones
Your going to have to remove your sd card and load it into your computer with another device and replace the pg32img.zip file with another Rom.... I think.

Okay this is really old and from the evo xda threads but check it out it describes unbricking evo phones that were bricked by installing old ruu's. I'm not saying to follow this at all but it might lead you to try a different method of flashing I dunno
h ttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654119
Your going to have to mess around til you get it. Just don't let your battery get too low. Also make sure the radio isn't in the packaged zip your flashing, its not vital.
Create a goldcard, and copy the PG32IMG.zip to the root of sdcard(goldcard),enter the hboot and flash it.

Could anyone please help me with this?
It means you are trying to flash either the wrong RUU or you're trying to downgrade from a higher firmware version. That won't work without s off

Do you know if there is anyway for me to go 100% stock with a 4.1.2 RUU , when i am on 4.2.2 with 1.544 hboot with s-on?
No not possible.

Trouble flashing 4.3 radio

I basically get
writing 'zip'...
bootlader zip header checking
bootloader zip info parsing..
bootloader read zipped android_info fail
FAILEd remove: 24 parsing android-info fail

Also, when pushing through fastboot with the firmware update the hboot updates but I get the remote 90 error issue. It doesnt seem to want to update the radio, so I wonder how much of the firmware even pushed to my device..
If it's a zip from the Radio thread just flash it from recovery

[Q] Latest Firmware Fails Fastboot

When I try to update my firmware to the 4.06.6514 firmware. I follow the directions in the thread, but when I issue the flashboot flash zip firmware.zip it fails with the following:
target reported max download size of 1526722560 bytes
sending 'zip' (20935 KB)...
OKAY [ 2.217s]

(bootloader) Read zipped android_info fail

finished. total time: 2.465s
The download seems OK, it passed the md5 check, etc... I haven't seen anyone else with this problem while looking around. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Did you update with the modified or unmodified firmware?

DID YOU TRY reentering the command : fastboot flash zip firmware.zip imediately after the error(works sometimes) did you rename the download zip to firmware/
I flashed the unmodified firmware for the 3.05 firmware with the 1.55 hboot and got a similar message. I just rebooted and everything was fine.

I was trying the unmodified firmware, and I believe that I AM S-ON, as I have never done anything special to get S-OFF.
I did try reissuing the command immediately after the fail a couple of times, and I did rename the firmware file as downloaded to firmware.zip
Thanks again!

yeah you have to relock your bootloader for the firmware to flash successfully. you can do this through the command "fastboot oem lock" in cmd that you opened in the same folder location as your fastboot binaries
BUT be careful because if you do this you will lose everything on your phone, including all of the stuff you have on your internal storage, etc. i just performed this operation yesterday and had gotten that same error before i re-locked

If you are S-ON you do indeed have to re-lock your bootloader

[Q] Getting Error "FAILED (status read failed (Too many links))"

So, I've been trying to return my phone to stock for a while now.
I've found the right RUU for and followed all the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/general/lollipop-ruu-zip-small-collection-t3053944
However, I've been getting this error when trying to flash the RUU.zip into my phone.

After which it'll say: "fastboot.exe has stopped working".
I'm running InsertCoin 4.0.6 at the moment, and I'm already S-OFF, with the bootloader showing ***RELOCKED***
hboot version 1.54
Also, after it fails, my phone doesn't seem to be bricked. I can boot it up just find at it works just find despite the RUU failing.
