However I thought the new market is only 2.2 only?

Mine crashed when I first tried to open a paid app's page, but after that it works again, when I reopen Market. Have you tried uninstalling the update and let it update again and once it done that, close and reopen market and try to poke around to see if it force close again.
Thanks for this, used the Apk... no issues to report.
Market Update (eclair)
90% of people already got it...
Good lookin out though! Worth the DL for those on custom roms that didnt get it.
I havent received this update and the APK provided causes force closes all the time. Im Telus Milestone on telus running GOT 2.1 update /w TELUS Lite 4.1
anyone else getting this problem?
Just update manualy. This silent update needs OTA update enabled. As it is basicly OTA, but just the silent version And custom ROMs dont have OTA working usualy.
The best feature in this market was not posted.
This market remembers what apps you had installed, and after doing factory/changing ROM this market automaticly installs back all the apps! Wonderful, no more need for MyBackupPro, well it is for apps that should be bought

Im also running TELUS Lite 4.1 and getting the exact same problem.
sooo... what features do we gain over the update that was given by default, versus your .apk file?
Is it really worth my time to get this?
As far as know there is no difference to getting update ofcialy or like this way? After all update only updates the market app, nothing else.
Thanks for apk.
I (for one) did NOT receive this update (OTA).
THANKS for the APK! I appreciate it...
So I'm running the debloat ROM which is great. However, the latest update for GMaps is failing during installation saying the package is not signed properly.
Anyone else seeing this?

I'm running VirusRom and noticed this too. It also happened with Re-Engineered on my Incrediible; the dev wrote a zip and attached it in the OP of the thread.
MarketFix did not correct this problem.
What version of maps are you running? 5.2.1 is the newest version right?
I currently have 5.0.0, 5.2.1 is not installing for me. Says package not signed correctly.
Stock - not updating
I noticed Saturday that GMaps did not update and I am running stock.
Any one else see this happening? Anyone have any suggestions?
Go into.market and install some devs remove the link to the market so it never checks for updates
if you just install it from the market it will just replace it and update

Alright, so I posted a thread a while back regarding how MagicJack crashes on my HTC One (M7). I simply open the app, it remains on a black screen for about 5 seconds then it crashes.
I am on ARHD 61.1.
I have tried all of these solutions:
-reinstall the app from Playstore
-reinstall the app from another source
-reinstall the app from both of the above with autosync off
-installed an earlier version of the app
-flashed the following roms: ARHD, Viper, Maximus (same issue on all roms)
-did a full wipe of my phone from TWRP
-reflashed ARHD again, and this is where I am at now
So I even took the extreme routes and it still didn't help. It simply just doesn't work with my phone.
Can anyone help me out with fixing this problem?
I have link of the logcat of when I try to open up MagicJack... http://pastebin.com/Gb90s8AH
Sorry for double posting.... this is the last time. If no one has any ideas this time then I'll give it up.
So I had a problem like this earlier, the issue was that everytime I installed a new rom, one of the first things I did was install Android Tuner and let that app install a lot of tweaks to speed up the system, and some of the tweaks in the build.prop caused a certain app to keep crashing because it kept running out of memory. Have you installed any tweaks after flashing any of the roms?

Well first I was on ARHD 52. MagicJack didn't work, so I figured it was an issue with ARHD.
When ARHD 53 came out a couple of days ago, it STILL didn't work. At that point I figured something must have been wrong.
(I do install the ElementalX kernel (specifically for double tap to wake, I keep everything else at stock.)
But this time, I completely wiped my phone. I installed a fresh ARHD 61.1, and I tried out MagicJack BEFORE I installed ElementalX again. Turned out, MagicJack still didn't work.
So other than ElementalX, I do not install any tweaks.
Well that's odd, sometimes a clean install of a rom is still not enough to make a certain problem go away. I had issues with a specific base, when I install 4.19.401.8 base, I can't sign in to Google, but when I install a newer or older base, the problem is gone. Now if I were to install the same base over and over again the problem would resurface in a different base. So I decided to use the stock AT&T RUU and start over. The RUUs usually restore nearly everything. So I think you should give that a try. And if you can try to run an RUU exe, not a zip.

Problem with that is... I have a Latin American International HTC One with a CID which is not supported by any RUU.
So I SuperCID'd to 11111111, and none of the RUUs seem to work.
(so I'm probably not selecting the correct RUU)
But tell you what. I'm going to do another wipe. I'm going to start again from the beginning with a new TWRP, new rom, and new everything.
If at this point MagicJack is STILL not working, then I'm literally out of ideas and I'll try RUUing.
Okay so I formatted and wiped my entire again, and I flashed a new TWRP, and I had no OS installed (nearly bricking my device). I installed a clean ARHD 61.1, and everything was from the beginning. I didn't sync any account, I didn't add the Google account either.
All I did was download Root Explorer, and installed a MagicJack.apk I downloaded from another source. It STILL didn't work. wtf
At this point, I'm going to assume that MagicJack needs to update their app and that it's not my phones fault.
It's just weird because for other people it works on ARHD 61.1.
The RUU might not work if your device is unlocked, you'll have to re-lock the bootloader to use an RUU.exe. But guess what, I decided to find the app and install it myself to see what's going on and I have the same issue. I'm running 4.19.401.11 base, the rom is my own and I have Elemental X kernel, so I think it's just the developers messing up here.

Ohh, so you're getting a black screen and just having the app crash too? Then yeah... the developers messed up.
Guess all that wiping went nowhere... at least I have a fresh start though. (didn't mean it to sound disgusting)

Yeah I'm sure they'll get it fixed.
I awaiting a fix for this problem as well. It sucks that magicjack doesnt seem to be working on sense roms. I have this same problem when I was using 4.3 as well but only on sense roms.
Same problem here on ARHD 53. I open Magic Jack, get the black screen for 10-20 seconds, then it exits. I wouldn't call it crashing because I don't get any error displayed.
I tried clearing data plus uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times and it always gives this result.
Is there anyone who has been able to get Magic Jack to work with the M7?
magicJack has been finally fixed, but only on the newest InsertCoin roms. I really wish Android Revolution HD would fix the problem as well since I prefer it over the former...

I'm sorry for the huge bump.
But, Android Revolution HD 81 has fixed the magicJack issue!! (for me at least) I simply flashed the zip, and installed with Sense 6 Toolbox. So I can finally remotely use my magicJack app.

Thank you! I will try ARHD 82 (current version)
In the latest version of Viper ROM (6.2.1) my system updates tab (in settings) force closes upon opening. I've done some research on the Viper One ROM thread and apparently this is a known issue.
My question is, can I update my PRL or profile some other way? I heard it's possible to use Sprint zone, but I don't have it installed, and none of the apks I've found have worked (parsing error).
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
bump! please help me out!
Just in case someone else needs it: found this on the Viper One thread, got it installed just fine. Profile update was a success! It showed that my PRL was current, too.

Thanks for posting the apk. I am using a Sprint HTC One, on a GSM network. It has never been connected to Sprint. I am looking to enable the roaming options in the Mobile Data menu option.
One question, were you able to uninstall the app without any issues? I mean did it install any other bloatware or and FC when uninstalled?
Cheers

Try changing sku_id to 42 in default.xml. The line is near the end. That might enable data roaming for you.
It probably doesn't install any bloatware, but it might FC if uninstalled for your 2nd question. So it's best not to touch it
Thanks will try changing sku_id.

Report back if it works please!
I figured this might be somewhat related instead of starting a new thread.
I tried updating my profile (while on InsertCoin, if that matters) and it was apparently successful and prompted a reboot. Since then, the phone is essentially nonfunctional as it constantly reboots after a minute or two of being on.
Is there an old profile that I could flash to revert to what was running prior to my update? Would reflashing InsertCoin be a better option (hoping to avoid this so I won't have to worry about setting everything up again)?
EDIT: Reflashed InsertCoin w/o wiping data seems to work. I'll just skip updating the profile for now.
Hi, first post here so please mind my ignorance. I recently rooted my Sprint HTC One m7 and installed the latest TWRP recovery. Since I found out that I have no /system write permissions and I wanted to use apps like the Xposed framework, I decided to flash a custom kernel which disabled the protections, because I didn't feel the need to get a new ROM. So, I am running the stock Sense 6 ROM on 4.4.2 with the stock kernel 3.4.10-gf22c859 and S-On. I tried to flash flar2's ElementalX 14.12 for Sprint. I created a nandroid backup and cleared my cache and dalvik. Then I flashed the kernel, and the install went fine. It said it was successful, and once again I cleared the cache and dalvik. I rebooted my device, and it started up, updating all the apps. and I rebooted the device again like the installer had said to. However, when I tried using the new features like logo2menu nothing happened. I checked what my kernel was in the settings, and it had not changed. The only thing that did change on my phone was the fact that all of my paid apps said they had not been installed, and when I did try to install them, I would get an error saying my SD card did not give them permission to do so (or something similar to that, I don't remember the exact message). I thought that it was a problem with the kernel, so I restored to the nandroid, and flashed the Kangaroo kernel the same way I did with ElementalX. Once again, the set up process went fine. When I booted my device, I was greeted with the same results as before. Apps updated, kernel didn't change, paid apps gone. I am really confused with what is going on. I feel like I am missing something obvious (This is my first time installing a kernel on an Android device). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks is advance.

I might be wrong here, but I thought latest ElementalX for sprint was 13.10 and I don't find any 14.12 version for the sprint variant, only for the GSM one.... Can you provide a link to that kernel please?

I used TWRP 2.6.3.0 m7wls. Whenever I try installing Xposed it goes fine, but when I restart, it says it hasn't been installed. I looked for similar problems and heard that you need system write permissions for it to stay when you reboot (may be wrong). On the sprint ElementalX thread, there is a post on page 78 with this link for 14.12 M7WLS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2864690&d=1406021704. Sorry about posting this on the wrong forum, I'm new to this kind of stuff, but thanks for the help!

when installing Xposed framework, in the settings/installer, change it from Classic Install to Automatically flash in recovery, then select install, should work then.

I know this is an old thread but did you figure out how to flash the kernel?
