There is no such thing as a right settings. For example, for android 4.0.3 and PROMETHEUS KERNEL right settings are interactive governor and row I/O scheduler and highest frequency u can get stable on u phone. And it's all advices that we get from nikhil16242 (author of this kernel).

hey i wanted to know:
what is a good stable high performable overclock frequency for power/3d games??
Currently I have: HTC Incredible S rooted with runnydr0id 2.1 rom (android 2.3.5)
i have it overclocked to 1.3 ghz max. with setCPU
is this good ? do i need more?
mine is on 1.4ghz via CM7 settings. i think im using the brazilian wax governor from lord clockan kernel. 100% stable, havent had any reboots of slowdowns and the phone is incredible-y ( ;] ) quick all round.
hi guys,
I come from a gs 2 and i just bought a note and install alliance rom (gb)
what kernel can overclock the gpu to 400 mhz as the gs2 with siyah kernel and extweaks.
Thanks for your answer ; ) and sorry for my english i'm french

You should probably check in the Alliance Thread if it's supported and works ok, but I remember from my GB days that Abyss 4.2 (Redpill Touch) was about the best kernel you could flash for our Note...
Also when you say "overclock to 400 MHz"...I suppose that you're talking about the minimum frequency. You can overclock your minimum frequency with mostly any kernel that has root.
I use AnTuTu CPU Master from the Play Store. It's free and really easy and intuitive to use.

The only one I know of that allows GPU over clocking and voltage control is Thor kernel. Not found on xda as the creator is persona non grata. Google it.
I use the app Voltage Control to specify frequency and voltage settings, very useful. Give it a try.

He is saying GPU not CPU thus the 400Mhz.
I use Tegrak to oc the GPU with Franco kernel.

Yeah use tegrak overclock but m using Abyss kernel nd my phone is buttery smooth
thanks shaolin95 but i don't find franco kernel for gingerbread, the only i found is for ics, can you give me a link please
edit: i've installed abyss kernel + bought tegrak kernel ultimate and it works ! thanks for your answer
i wanted to ask does overclocking the gpu help alot in games like more 10 fps ? and does it shorter the gpu's life ?
thanks alot
I have Antutu CPU Master Pro and the change log for version 2.5 says that it now supports GPU overclocking for Galaxy S devises. I think i have at least found that the Devil kernel supports GPU overclocking but does anyone know of any others? I am currently using Glitches kernel and it works great, but i'd like have the ability to overclock my GPU as well.
thanks in advance

umm.. derteufel has updated his thread that the devil kernel doesn't support gpu oc, and he reverted back that option in his newest kernel for the sake that it doesn't work, although the options shows in the devil config application.
afaik, there's no kernel that currently support gpu oc
Thank you!

Those option are getting removing in the next release of Devil Kernel Config app.

Right now you will need to install a Kernel that allows for OC on top of your current custom ROM. OC Kernels are marked with "OC" so that you can find them easily.

you can overclock your device here http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/16813-kexec-code-kernel-42413/ i hope it runs good for you just flash in safestrap
Will look into this

This kernel is no longer being developed, so it does not incorporate any recent changes from the Cm builds.

Blurry 2.5 has a oc kernel built in with it. 1.2gig. Has CPU sleeper an custom governers with it.. Only bad thing is its on 4.1.2 not 4.2.2. In my opinion I'd rather be on 4.2.2 then gain 200mhz
Any one know undervoltage kernel for mi4?

any los based rom has voltage control which you can change in kernel adiutor app, and for underclock u just need to set the lower freq in the same app.
For the undervolt i don't recommend to undervolt freqs below 1032 mhz, it will cause the system unstable with maybe a sod.

If you are on MIUI you can try redkancut, if you are on any custom rom, most of roms have the undervolt by default
