[Q] How to make a sony theme - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Now, I have not seen a thread that explains, in a noob friendly manner, on how to modify an xperia theme or make their own custom xperia theme. I have looked around, found a tool here on XDA but its only for the Xperia Z. No Z1. I want to make the STOCK heat theme (4.4.2) and make the navbar home button become "xperia"

U can try to use this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582780
But on stock rom without root i think only coloros and navbar icon would change, to mod launcher and icons u need to have rooted device.

Well there's actually a few modded versions of the Arc launcher.
AFAIK, _Sparks and Bakabon19 have made some.
Correct me if I'm wrong

There is one active launcher that works too. It can be installed as normal apk and exist as an update of the arc launcher. But it always have fc when im adding widgets. I guess its sparks active launcher.

[DISCUSSION][Xperia TX]what to do after rooting

Hi guys..
I was an owner of samsung galaxy s2(i9100) and then I moved to the amazing xperia TX.
It is an amazing device as compared to galaxy s2.
However,i do miss the customization choices of the s2 as the TX does not has sufficient developer support as the s2.
Many xperia TX owners root the phone but fear unlocking the bootloader as they fear loosing drm keys, bravia engine, track id etc so they stay away from unlocking the bootloader.
So I thought to create a thread where we can discuss what to do in our devices after rooting so that we can get the most out of our devices
We can have some discussions on root apps, some mods without unlocking the bootloader, system mods etc..

Want cm like themes on your Rooted TX?
This is a great mod that I came across.
All credits go to the developer of the "xtheme engine"

Superior power saving features by using apps such as Greenify and One Power Guard.
Extensive backup and restore functions using Titanium Backup.
Manual system modifications by having access to the root directory. Endless possibilities
Also I used to think that there isn't much development here compared to the previous Samsung phone I had. But to be honest, I am quite happy with the stock Rom. So I don't complain. Occasionally I shift to a CM 10.1 release but then come back to my stock rom. So there is actually not much that devs can do to improve an already full featured rom. This is my opinion.
Hi,
U r right..
When I used a samsung,i always used a sony theme on cm.
But now on sony stock rom,i never felt the need to change to any other rom
Sony's jelly bean is the best...

Yeah, XthemeEngine is great, if you haven't tried already, try it.

Hi mate,
Just dont apply tweaks that u "think" would make any effects...apply the the tweaks for the feature u want on your phone..

Funny thing is, the majority of mods on pimp my rom, we already have on our xperia phones anyways, so there isn't really much to do with it in the end
As for what I do after rooting, I install TB and remove all bloatware, and then leave it as it is because there's not much need for extra mods/tweaks and all that

Hi,
I mean just apply the mods for the changes you "need" on your device.
For example,if we apply the mod "pimp my beats" we can get good quality audio output from our headphones.
I have bravia engine 2 and beats audio installed in my TX and they work really well..

Hi mate,
I agree with your point..but there are still many mods for pimping our rom
We can have build.prop tweaks, init.d support etc.
Me too have not made many tweaks in my TX with "pimp my rom" but there are still many mods which we can apply...
Cheers!!

[Q] White applications

I would like to have an Honami style (white) calendar on my phone. How can I?
I like to keep my stock rom. I love mods where I can just swap an .apk.
Look in the themes and app section

Yep. I only saw it using modified framework or with deodexed rom. May be it's my oversight?
No, that is correct
Please close.

[Q] Need help with CM11 theme, please.

Hello, and thanks for reading,
I have Sony Xperia Z (rooted, locked bootloader, stock ROM 4.4.4) and I want to install some of the nice CM11 themes on it, like IdeaL. How do I go about it? I do not want to flash a custom ROM or lose my data or anything, so is it still possible? I read something about HKThemeInstaller somewhere, does it work? Please use n00b-proof language
Thanks.
ANy help please?
The theme that you are talking about, if am not wrong, is meant for devices with the cyanogenmod theme engine i.e. ROMs with cm as their base (check in the feature list of the ROMs that you are using). To apply the theme you need to go to Settings\Themes(Under personalisation)\Style here you should be able to see all the themes that you have installed and should be able to apply it.
