WiFi issue with AVM Fritz!Box 7490 - TouchPad Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
has anyone encountered any issues with the touchpad and the fritzbox 7490 when using the 5ghz wifi?
Wifi works just fine with the predecessor of the fritzbox, the 7390, but I can't get a connection working with the 7490. WiFi-Connection is there, I can obtain an IP-address but I can't ping the gateway from the touchpad or the touchpad from any other network device.
2.4ghz works fine with both routers.
Any Ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
I am currently running Android 4.3.1 (CM 10.2-20131203-UNOFFICIAL-tenderloin). But I tried webos as well, same problem: I can get an IP, but no internet access.
Any ideas?

Everything except WiFi

I am running 217 ROM w/CF2,ringers,themes and A2DP on a O2 branded Mini and since loading the Cingular package above the WiFi does not connect.
Is there some patch? Machine works much better on Cingular network using the above package but I'd like WiFi back.
there is few of us with that problem, and noone knows the problem, but i think it's only in regards to some spcific routers like dlink 614+
Routers/AP
I got connected today to a Linksys running WEP but the same Linksys running WPA would not connect me. very strange. Numerous laptops have no issue in either configuration. Every AP I have tried works if security is disabled.

[Q] Connecting to home wifi network with repeater.

Has anybody had any success with this? I have a wireless N router and just got a wireless N repeater in my home.
My captivate will connect just fine to the network when the repeater is unplugged. However, when I plug in the repeater my phone's wifi connection starts to act funny. I connect to the wifi and have a very strong signal, but I am unable to do anything on the internet. Web pages won't load, Pandora won't connect.
Long story short, the phone sees the network, but it doesn't know whether to communicate with my router or my repeater.
All other wireless devices on my network seem to work fine with the repeater, it's just my Captivate that is having this problem. I have no other phones to test it with, though.
Are you running stock? I seem to recall it having an issue with netmasks that weren't 255.255.255.0. You may want to check netmask in both the router's settings and the phone's Wi-Fi settings to ensure they match.
Is your NAT filtering turned off on both devices ?
Thanks! I'll look into both of these options when I get home tonight.
I'm not running stock, I'm running Cognition v2.3b6, btw.

Can't connect to 802.1x wifi

I'm using Cyanogenmod 10 with Prometheus Kernel V2 and while it works fine with my home wifi, it's never able to connect to my school wifi which uses 802.1x EAP encryption. Is there any fix for this?

I once experienced this. but my problem is my phone wont detect my home wifi so all I did is either change the name of the wifi(SSID) or change the wifi to 802.1g(G only) as I found that most phone have a problem to connect to 802.1n.

[Q] HTC One doesn't connect to WiFi N-only networks

My HTC One cannot connect to routers which are set to N-only mode. As soon as i change the router's setting from N-only to b/g/n mixed, it connects with no problem.
I have tested this with different routers and they all behave the same (i.e. N-only doesn't work while mixed b/g/n works fine). I have also tried 4.3 and 4.4.2 stock ROMs but both have the same issue.
Can anyone successfully connect to WiFi N-only networks? This phone is supposed to support WiFi ac, yet alone WiFi N.
So everyone else can connect to WiFi N networks?

Wifi problems, connects but very lousy Internet

This happens at work and home on separate routers. One is a Cisco running DDWRT firmware, the other is a Cisco small business firewall router. They are both wireless N 2.4ghz and run on fairly open channels.
I've tried fooling with the channels, the encryption type, etc. What happens is my apps or Web pages fail to load. If I turn off wifi, they work just fine.
I have multiple tablets working just fine at home and hardwired computers that never lose Internet so it should not be an issue with the gateway.
Any other ideas for fixing this? I had a Galaxy S4 which had issues with AES encryption but I tried TKIP and same problem here.
