You dont have to do this. Simply flash Tizen via Odin. I successfully done this.

Is it possible to flash the nullrom after the Gear is on Tizen?

If you are on Tizen, you will need to flash the modified stock mk7 android firmare, along with the PIT file, make sure everything works, including touch screen, then you can flash nullrom from there.
There is a thread that provides all the instructions and files on how to do this. I think its either in this Q&A forum or in the General discussions forum.

In order to install null rom after you've been on Tizen you have to revert to android first. Then reinstall recovery and null rom as you did before.
Here's a thread that says how to get back to android after Tizen.

Quick way to flash stock rom and root it?

I keep keep switching between roms and having the stock rom seems to be the mid point. So was wondering if there is a way to flash stock rom (latest) and root it. Like in samsung i use to flash the stock rom via Mobile odin and that app had the ability to root while flashing..do we have any similar way to do it?

No. ..and do not even bother your self to ask more question about it, there is no way around, the only way is the one which you already know, like in my signature.
keep a backup on your sdcard and just restore it, no need to flash stock, downgrade, install recovery, install pre rooted rom.
Once you have root and recovery, just restore backups....

Best options to obtain 4.4?

My note 3 is currently on 4.3 and is stock but rooted. I would like to upgrade to a stock version of 4.4 with root and to keep root and without wiping out all of my apps if possible.
I looked through some sticky and through the dev forum but nothing seems to fit what i'm looking for. Is this possible?
Could I just unroot, upgrade to the latest version through at&t and use the towelroot method?

yes.. you basically have 2 choices.. either unroot and take the ota and then root with towelroot... or go to the general thread and look for carls thread for the 4 odin files.. you can just make it east and odin to nc2 and then root with towelroot... easy as that... but the odin will wipe your stuff of course.. so you might want to just do the unroot and update to keep. or get tibu and back it all up and odin.. up to you

I've tried unrooting but the OTA still won't take. I think I have too much stuff modified between wanam and all the frozen apps in titaniumbackup. Going to go the odin route.
Thanks.

[Q] Return to stock?

Can someone point me to the right thread to return to stock with stock recovery?
I have NULL_23 right now and would like to try out a tizen based OS
im in the same boat, cannot get to a download mode to reflash stock with Odin after having null 23 and twrp on my gear
i downloaded the stock verwion then flashed it with odin then downloaded keis 3 and it updated to tizen from stock for me. glad i did as tizen is way better than null imo as its a watch so you dont need anything to fancy null is great btw but i prefer tizen 4 sure

What version stock did you download. I tried the UK and it almost bricked my device. I am trying Cellular South next. I read that it's a US company because I can't find US or Canada on any sites. Only tons of other countries.

Hi Mate,
I did get stuck on the boot screen but this is what i did.
1. Download this UK version (BTU), (I have uploaded the one I used and added it to dropbox for you as it was a real pain to get, I apologize ADMIN if this is not allowed but I just want to help) https://www.dropbox.com/s/lejcpo7mp3ayxvp/BTU-V700XXUAMK7-20131115153259 stock rom.zip?dl=0
then unrar it to get the MD5 file
2. I used odin 3.09 the leave ticked auto reboot and f. reset time. add the MD5 file to AP. then flash..
3. When my watch rebooted it got stuck on the samsung boot screen so I held down the power button and then when it said rebooting I pressed the button 5 times to assess recovery.
4. select recovery, the phone will then recovery itself into the stock firmware.
5. open keis 3 and follow instructions there and keis will update the watch to tizen automatically.
I hope this helps you, if i can help in anyway just shout , im by no means an expert tho lol.
Matt.
WORKED!
Worked. Thank you.

How to (re)root GT-I9295 after update to lollipop?

Hi everyone,
Sort of a noob question here. I am aware that the answer is very possibly already hidden somewhere in the numerous posts out there, but im getting kind of lost in all the different posts that are all somehow related to this topic.
So, I want to update my already rooted s4 active (i9295) to the latest version of Android (Lollipop, Android 5.0.*). I found enough information on this and I'm comfortable doing this.
BUT, to my knowledge, updating my rooted phone to the latest version of Android will make me lose root privileges. I haven't found a clear description on how to re-root my phone after updating. Is anyone able to help me out here?
Summary:
-------------------------------------------------------
ℹ Phone: GT-I9295
ℹ Current OS: Android 4.4.2
ℹ Custom Recovery: CWMR

Objective:

Re-root GT-I9295 after update to Android 5.0.*
Thanks a lot, Thomas
Flash custom recovery with Odin, then flash SuperSU in recovery.
No luck yet....
thanks for your anwser!
unfortunately I cant seem to get a custom recovery flashed through ODIN. I tried both CWM (CWM-Recovery-gt-i9295_v1-2.tar.md5) and TWRP (twrp_mythi_8.tar).
Flashing the official Android udate worked fine, so I am now on android 5.0.1, but I lost root ..... and I dont like that much... I want my root back....:crying:
Dont know if this matters in any way, but when ODIN is done, I dont get a green box that says [PASS], but blue box that says [RESET]
Any advice on getting a custom recovery installed???? Can I install it through ADB?

d8389 has given working steps to same question here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=60376515
Also recommend to read my thread about failsafe method to flash anything (next post). And specific how to get from stock to custom recovery 1st time. Please use Odin 3.0x, multirom TWRP made by spegelius and SuperSU 2.46. The files that you have tried is old and made for jellybean and Kitkat. Most recent links is in my thread.
Thanks for your reply! It was no longer needed for myself, because I already got it to work, but I'm sure it will be helpful for others!

You cannot update to lollipop using twrp.
It has to be done using odin.
If you want to stay 100% stock and rooted then you need
to odin flash twrp and cf-autoroot.
If you want to flash a custom lollipop rom then you will
need to odin flash lollipop official firmware and odin
flash twrp.
All custom roms are pre-rooted so no need to root them.
Good luck!

Thanks.. So can I just straight up update from what I'm on now?
Just put phone in download mode and update via Odin correct?
Will this erase my stuff internal memory? Movies/pictures
Yes you can. You should back up your stuff though because you'll want to do a factory reset or erase data to get the best results with lollipop.
Although, I did all that and I've got my movies and pictures.

Be sure you get the proper version of the lollipop N910T tmobile
firmware from a reliable source like http://sammobile.com and
flash it using odin.
Before flashing new firmware it's always best to do a factory reset first.
Back up all your important stuff first.
Good luck!

Sure is a big file to download :silly:
That's totally safe.
I just odin flashed.
I didn't erase data till I flashed my rom.
Admittedly within a minute of going through the process.
Mega's instructions are good. You just stop at 5
odin reads and i get the com light up and reads it but it wont find my lollipop firmware i downloaded on the pda part

You need to navigate in odin and find the location where you saved the firmware file.
There is a box next to the PDA slot and you need to click it and use it to locate the file.
Good luck!

Yes it's perfectly safe and doing it that way you will not loose any data,
passwords or settings.
It also is a lot faster than downloading the firmware file.
I am not sure if rooting makes a difference, when I updated using kies
it worked fine for me, kies did tell me that I have un-official firmware
but it gave me the option to continue which I did without any issues.
With kies it takes less than 1/2 the time for it to complete the download and
install/update the firmware compared to a standard download and flash..
Good luck!

Give it a try. There are faster ways to download it. Pretty sure we sure we showed you.
You're not going to break the phone.
Just in case we didn't
